Google
MD Anderson is a well-known cancer center all over the world. When you are a patient you will have a team. No part of your treatment is done until everyone on the team meets and plans your care. When I say the team we are talking about the surgeon, oncologists, radiation oncologists, all of their PAs, etc. So much knowledge it is amazing. You know the results of lab work, biopsies, CAT scans, etc. very quickly as all results are posted into your records which you have access too . I recommend MD Anderson for anyone fighting cancer.

Google
not the most fun place to have to visit, but hey, i'm not dead yet! a year cancer free and counting. best place in the world for treatment, which everyone knows already of course. but the people, particularly the radiation technicians and greeters - are just the most amazing people. i will never forget their kindness and their gentleness during my treatment. i'm tearing up just remembering it.

Yelp
I had a mammogram and bone density performed at this facility for the first time in February 2024 . My appointment that day took 3 HOURS when Memorial Hermann does both in less than 1 hour. I made my appointment months in advance and MDA still failed to obtain my prior years images from Memorial Hermann. Therefore MDA compared my mammogram and bone density to 20 YR OLD records they had in their system. REDICULOUS! Also in February, I reported this issue to MDA's Advocacy group and requested updated reports with comparisons to RECENT years images. I was schmoozed and promised they would get them, however, I never dreamed 4 months later I still wouldn't have both updated reports. (I wonder if they will really do the comparisons or just update the report to make it look so.) MDA is the bomb for cancer treatment but their West Houston Imaging Center is awful and I will not use this Imaging Center again. I would give a ZERO rating if there was a choice.

Yelp
Convenient new location close to Katy is wonderful. So easy to find. Parking is plentiful. Used to drive downtown for annual appointment. These individuals aren't here to babysit or coddle you. You are also a responsible party to obtaining services from them. Show up timely. With information in hand. Know your insurance coverage. Have your ID at the ready. Show them the same respect you require and all will be well. Keep your phone on silent. Be polite and respectful to others around you who might be dealing with the cancer fight.

Yelp
The new diagnostic imaging center is designed to serve patients in West Houston with the MD Anderson standard of care, without the long commute into the med center. This facility also takes patients with outside referrals. The DI center houses state of the art mammography, ultrasound, PET/CT, biopsy and cytology equipment. The facility opened in August, 2014. The PET is one of only 5 in the U.S. In the pictures you will see that all of the machines that have patients laying on their backs have scenic panels above the beds, during our tour we were told that they will soon have goggles that will play movies or tv shows while patients are undergoing their scans. Both areas of the facility have a waiting area with complimentary beverages (tea/soda/coffee), and there are televisions in all of the waiting areas as well. In the breast imaging area they have separate male and female waiting areas for those who aren't comfortable with co-ed mingling. This facility is spacious and well constructed. The design leaves the claustrophobic sterile hospital scene and allows patients to feel a little more at ease during their procedures.

Yelp
I visited this location for the first time on Tuesday for some imaging. I usually go to MD Anderson in the medical center which can be challenging due to traffic and a lack of parking. I absolutely love this Energy Corridor location. Parking was plentiful and both of my appointments started on time which not always the norm in the medical center. I had two tests there. One of them was an MRI. The staff was incredibly patient with me...I am very claustrophobic and panic easily. They played Pandora through some headphones while I was in the machine. They checked in quite often to make sure I was comfortable and gave me a nice, warm bathrobe to use during my visit. The facility is across from Top Golf on I-10 and is really clean. I will definitely return to that location in the future.

Yelp
A breast cancer survivor, I live in West Houston and transferred my annual mammogram from M.D.Anderson's downtown imaging center to the Kary location for convenience: After checking in on time, I waited for half an hour before being called back to meet with a nurse practitioner who decided to bump up my mammogram to a "diagnostic mammogram" plus ultra-sound because she felt a pea-sized bump (which I was pretty sure was scar tissue). I understand: Best to be cautious. The new schedule meant I had to wait until 2:15 for the mammogram and come back two days later for the ultra-sound. Fortunately, a wonderful technician who had been doing mammograms for over 20 years made me feel as comfortable as possible with her excellent proficiency and friendliness. The doctor who came into report the results of the mammogram was also highly professional, friendly and reassuring. He could not find anything worrisome in the mammogram, but because of the nurse practitioner's concern, I had to return for an ultra-sound. I still remained anxious. Again, this procedure revealed absolutely nothing of concern. I left feeling mightily relieved...with the understanding that I would return in a year for the next annual mammogram. This morning, there was a new message from M.D. Anderson, from someone named Anna (whom I never met and learned later after phone call this morning was the assistant of the nurse practitioner), stating that I should return in three months for a checkup!!!!! For those who have had cancer and most blessedly treated by the best and most respected staff in the world at M.D. Anderson, that type of notice is alarming! I spent an hour this morning crawling through phone trees to reach the right person...a qualified person who could look at my records and explain why the need for a three month checkup. When I finally reached the right person, Allison I believe at the Nellie B. Connally Breast Center, she looked at my charts and stated that there was nothing to be concerned about and I could wait for a year to return for a mammogram! While most of the staff at the Katy M.D. Anderson Imaging Center treated me kindly and were exceptionally competent and professional, I can not recommend the nurse practitioner who first saw me, put me through a couple of very anxious days, and is now distressing me with an unwarranted and ominous message about an unexpected need for a three month checkup. Most M.D. Anderson staff have the compassion to understand how traumatic a cancer diagnosis and subsequent follow ups can be, but not this nurse. To all the rest, I thank you from the deepest part of my being for choosing to taking care of and treat individuals who find themselves dealing with a cancer diagnosis. You are awesome!

Yelp
My husband is a senior citizen and a cancer survivor and needs an MRI every 90 days to verify that the cancer has not returned. This facility is only focused on extracting money and has little regard for the patients needs. We are able to have an MRI done from several other facilities in the neighborhood without modification or questions of our doctors orders and will be doing so. I strongly suggest that patients recognize this facility has no regard for your health and well being. Shame on you MD Anderson! UPDATE FYI: As per MD Anderson's request I submitted his name and date of birth and MD's response was "You're welcome, ----Please let us know if you need anything else." So absolutely no culpability or action was taken on their part! So my review of 1 star stands! So see below for what happened during our first visit that generated the review. My hubby scheduled an appointment with MD Anderson for his MRI and we went into the facility. Prior to scheduling our procedures MD Anderson even spoke with our out of state physician's office regarding clarity of our orders. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly by their front desk girl, Shawn, who was delightful and very friendly! She walked us through the paperwork and got us ready for our appointment. We were then moved into a separate room to await the procedure and were again greeted warmly by Mike who was going over the procedure and the logistics of our visit. As we were going over the orders and Mike stated, after we prompted the question, that the contrast dye that our doctor ordered, would not be used even though it was available in the facility. We questioned why this was the case and were told that the particular dye our doctor ordered is more expensive and it is ultimately the Radiologist call as to what dye is used, even if it is contrary to your doctor. We were told by a female MRI tech "the Radiologist is firm on his decision" to alter our doctors orders. This did not sit well and we did not have the procedure done and rescheduled the procedure until we could consult with our doctor. We received a call the following day to say that MD Anderson would not perform the MRI and that due to our physician being out of state "Texas Law would not allow MD Anderson to perform the MRI" but if we wanted to have an MD Anderson physician perform his exam and re write the orders that this facility would then do the MRI. Of course the doctor visit would be an additional out of pocket expense. We did research and have yet to find any law that supports MD Anderson's statement. In fact our physician treats patients from around the WORLD and has never heard of this being the case. MD Anderson wasted our time, was not truthful and is more concerned about profit than they are their patients. I have 112,000 plus views of my reviews in the last 90 days and I go OUT OF MY WAY to post positive reviews! Double shame on you!!!

Yelp
I had an appointment scheduled for an ultrasound at 7:30am and was seen promptly. Every person I dealt with- from Christine scheduling the appointment to my ultrasound technician-were professional and courteous. The facility is very nice too. Will definitely use this location for any imaging needs in the future.

Yelp
I have taken my mother here twice for CT late Aug and early Sept as a follow up for her chemo treatments. The staff are SUPER friendly, helpful, professional, and gentle. They truly care about their patients. Facility is brand spanking new with the latest technology. All the staff makes everyone feel comfortable and smiles all the time. The room are large enough for family to keep the patient comfortable. After getting to talk to the staff members, I decided to do a 3D mammogram and showed me the digital version. The analysis gets sent directly to my doctor to discuss. I highly recommend this facility for any CT or Mammogram even if you are not a patient at MD Anderson. Appointments are easy to make and was able to see them next morning. Parking is free and easy to get to.

Yelp
I felt the wonderful surroundings & all staff I came into contact with go over & above my expectations. Cancer was found. And I am praying my insurance approves surgery & treatment with MD Anderson. I feel confident & just know I would be a survivor of breast cancer there. But my insurance is jerking me all over the place wasting value able time.
