MD House

I really liked this hotel. It's tucked away off the street and is very quiet at night and I never heard anything from the guests on either side on my room. They provide a good sized room, large refrigerator, very comfy bed, good A/C, wifi, and the bathroom has a shower area separate from the toilet area. The tv worked but I think there is only one western channel. The room and hallways smelled clean and fresh. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. This will bey go-to hotel from now on. The only problem I had was with the wifi. It varies in connectivity and cutd out sometimes but comes back on when you input the password again. Not a big deal for me.

It’s cheap and that’s what you get. The sheets were clean, the bathroom acceptable and the bed was good as well. However, the place is super noisy and you will hear everything and everyone on the floor. If you have loud neighbors it will keep you awake. Our room was in the backend and luckily no street noise but there are other rooms which are very loud. We do not complain and think it was a very good alternative especially for the 1200 baht we paid and the fact that the old town hotels have all been fully booked. The staff is very friendly and helpful and overall it was ok for us.

What we liked: This place is just adequate if you’re on a budget. The price is fair, I think our room was 30 per night. The location is ok. The pool looked clean. The AC was good and no bugs. The staff was nice enough and didn’t charge when we overslept past check out (for this I’m giving them an extra star. The bathroom was good enough and the shower and water pressure were ok. What we didn’t like: There were stains on the sheets. Even though they smelled clean. But if they’re white sheets…why not just bleach them? We chose not to make a fuss because ultimately it was just unsightly. Other than that our only complaint was the tedious WiFi signal that was weak and you’d have to constantly sign in, so you couldn’t stream anything. I’d say if you need a cheap room and are ok with the above, go for it! But don’t expect it to be great.

Backpacking couple staying for 3 nights. The room was basic but clean. Unfortunately, our shower broke during the stay, but the front desk kindly gave us the key to another room to use the shower until it got fixed. Pool area was lovely to sit out and enjoy breakfast. Good location as only 5 minute walk from a market with an array of bars. 15-20 minute walk to Bazaar.

Stayed four nights. Location is great in-between temples and the night bizarre. Friendly service on arrival. Nice room for cheap price. Nice swims in the pool too!

Well the location is good but the rooms are really old. So we got a double bedroom foe some reason with three bathrooms but the how water only in one and the water pressure was minimal. For the rest just a bit old but ok for one night or 2

We loved our stay in MD House. We were with three persons and we asked for separate beds. It was not a problem at all. The room is simple, nice and clean. The beds were good and the breakfast was delicious. We think the price is very good for what you get. The location is very good too. Not too busy but you can reach many places like Wat Chedi Luang, Sunday Walking Street by foot. The staff members were very kind and helpfull!

Amazing service from Ning. Gave us plenty of advice and recommendations and was always happy. A key asset for the accommodation. Rooms were basic, but clean. Great location.
