MEA Baja | Modern Elder Academy

This is an AMAZING place. The location alone is spectacular. And the staff working here are some of the friendliest and most attentive people I have ever met. That alone is worth coming for. But add the SPECTACULAR food and accommodations on top of that... And THEN the Workshops offered by MEA are nothing short of life changing. Both inspiring and practical, if you're between the ages of 25-85 and looking for help charting your "next move" in life, you should seriously consider coming.

This place is exactly what you hope it will be. From the immaculate design of the space to smiling faces and warm hearted team, MEA excels on every level.

It was the best experience ever to be part of cohort #48 and completing the Modern Elder program in Baja, one hour north of Cabo in the remarkable Pescadero beach community. The staff is amazing, food outstanding and the location is truly paradise. For 7 days and nights we explored topics, learned about our values and beliefs, and applied our knowledge to become mentors and coaches, helping others to achieve their personal and professional goals. I highly recommend this experience to curious people looking to improve themselves. It’s worth every dollar and more.

My wife and I have been to similar places before (Esalen, as well as Wonderland on Koh Pha Ngan in Thailand), but MEA is unique in its ability to bring together a small group of like-minded travelers through life, and allow them to enjoy fabulous food and drink, a gorgeous setting, and the opportunity to learn and grow from both the teachers, as well as the other participants. I'd like to thank the staff for their kind, generous, sincere and caring service: Araceli and Alondra -- making sure everything is working great, Jessie, Liz, Jonathan and Gio -- serving food, drink (and song!), Lupita, Gladys, Ginny and Luis -- making sure everything is clean and beautiful, Diego -- keeping the gorgeous grounds and garden in great shape. Chef Tony -- serving healthy, fresh, delicious, and authentic food every meal. There are also a group of facilitators and teachers (Barbara, Saul, and Teddi) who do a fantastic job of making sure all participants feel welcomed, relaxed, and open to growth.
