Meadowlark Bar

We happened inside after being dropped off outside by Bus to Show (also big recommend) Staff was fun/ funny (trolled us hard but in a kind way) Vibes inside were so good. Didn’t want to leave!

Came in on New Year’s and Meg was playing the most insane playlist of all time, we spent the rest of the night dancing, vibing, being generally grateful for being alive. Drinks were excellent. Vibe was immaculate. Dance floor was beckoning. This is the place. Meg, you are a queen. Never stop the music.

I’ve been here so many times. But tonight the bartenders attitude was really unexessary. After waiting for a while at one end of the bar I moved to the area where they were actually paying attention. I just let him know I was waiting for awhile and moved to his area on the other side and he’s says “well I’m going to keep moving “ and wouldn’t serve me. I bartended for over ten years in really busy bars on South Beach I wasn’t being rude. I was just stating facts. This isn’t how you treat people. How bout you actually pay attention to your bar and keep tabs on who’s stepping up instead of keeping ur head down the whole time and then give attitude. It was like 10pm. Not even prime busy time either.

DJ WAS 👏 🤩 10STARS! HE needs to be able to turn the volume up though, they keep turn down his 🎶 but yeah even the diverse folk live his afrobeats,regae,tech,RnB and his hip hop... the combination kept his dance floor on full....yeya!

Meadowlark has been a bar I've wandered in to many, many times on the weekends. They've always got something going on whether it's a DJ downstairs, karaoke night, jazz night, etc. Jazz night in particular is amazing. The group that normally plays there during jazz night is comprised of very, very talented musicians. Be aware that like most bars in the RiNo area, it gets absolutely packed on the weekends so be ready to wait a bit at the bar. One cool thing that sets Meadowlark apart from other bars in the area is the dark, moody atmosphere downstairs and the semi-outdoors area upstairs if you want some air. Both areas have bars so definitely check one out if the other is way too packed. Drinks here are very similar to all the other bars in the area. Not particularly expensive but definitely not cheap either.

This place is a joke, they have "open jams on Wednesday" But it's a bunch of scamming dudes that done even like each other, I asked to played and I took some few others I recognized people on stage and they laughed in my and asked for $80 to play 🤣🤣 I still got on without playing you bots Good luck making any deal friends with that attitude. I'm 21 btw your emotional integrity shows on your face like a lame horse on Sunday afternoon.

I tried to let the bartender know that that the girls bathroom was about to overfill with sewage and the bar tender completely blew me off. Like sorry I didn’t want y'all's business to be shit, but I guess it already was

Good place to grab a drink and enjoy live music; weekends get a bit too crowded for my liking but are still fun; the Wednesday jazz nights are an amazing vibe. Staff aren’t always the nicest / most attentive at times, so expect to wait a bit to get a drink even on slower nights. Other than that it’s a great time!
