Meadowmere Resort, Ogunquit Resort Collection

We have stayed here many times in the past and always had a very enjoyable time. When the hotel was taken over by new management four or five years ago, we felt that it wasn’t the same. When we returned the past few years we have noticed a lot of improvements which are very nice. Champagne as a welcome, cookies at the front desk and very personable and welcoming staff . They’ve also updated to couches in the pool and Roman spa area which are great ! West meadow pub has been updated also . Will definitely return especially , during the off-season as rates are very affordable.

Really enjoyed the outdoor hot tub. Hunter, at the front desk, was friendly and very helpful to us. Staff was quite cheery and readily assisted us. The entire facility was quite clean. We had not been to the resort for quite a few years. We noticed that a good deal of repainting had been done, unsafe stools were removed from the outdoor hot tub and we understand that more renovations are planned. We’re happy to know that one of our favorite resorts is still available to us for future visits.

My daughter and I had a little weekend getaway to celebrate my birthday. The resort was very nice with a lot of amenities along with a continental breakfast. My favorite was the Roman spa which was very relaxing! They left a box of excellent chocolates for me when we arrived to our room to wish me a Happy Birthday. A big shout out to Patrina at the front desk, she was extremely pleasant and gave us a nice recommendation for dinner which was excellent! I would highly recommend this resort for your next trip to Ogunquit, Maine.

The room was very nice, and aside from the water pressure in the shower not being great, we had no issues. The continental breakfast was fine and included in our price. The gentleman that checked us in was very friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome even giving us a glass of champagne as we were celebrating a birthday. The spa was relaxing and we spent a lot of time there. We also enjoyed the fact that it smelled very nice in the building and there were many cozy spots to relax. It was a quick drive to wonderful shops downtown and to the ocean which was enjoyable even in February. The only real complaint was that we got an email that we were approved for a free room cleaning and they never cleaned our room at all. Everything else though was wonderful and we enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend it to friends or family.

I just booked a reservation here and I already hate it. We wanted to upgrade our room (to spend more money) and we were told to cancel our old reservation and book online for the best rate. We were told they would charge us $30 to cancel. They also said they would reimburse us once our new reservation was completed. I call back and can't get through to anyone. All automated. Also says we should have an itinerary # in an email. I have no emails just a text with a confirmation number. Not that same number. Can't help. This place sucks. I am cancelling my new reservation and eating $60 to go somewhere else. FTP

I have been going to the Meadowmere consistently for 12 years now and I am so happy to see them thriving. ||They made cosmetic updates: paint; new furniture in the pool & Roman spa; they removed those pesky stools from the hot tub (good decision— I still have a scar from 2015, lol.) ||The room was clean and there were 2 spa grade robes in the room. I was able to wear it out to the pool and be extra comfortable watching my kids swim.)||We door dashed dinner to the hotel and the kids got to eat poolside. Parenting win! (If you do this, be respectful— don’t eat in the pool or leave trash behind.) Being able to feed the kids in the pool area was nice because we were able to run all of their energy out before bedtime. ||The pool area had plenty of towels that were restocked when inventory was low. ||The coffee/hot cocoa bar was perfect, like always. Having flavor shots available is such a game changer. I started adding vanilla to my hot cocoa this weekend and I’m never looking back. ||The rooms are cozy. I thought I noticed an upgrade to the blankets in the room. Either way, we all slept very well. |Toiletries: decent. Hair girlies, byo. |Water pressure in shower is great. One complaint: the hot water in the sink gets too hot way too fast. Like 0 to the 7th gate of hell immediately. This is an accident waiting to happen, especially for a little one. ||I wanted to mention that I noticed the check-in process has changed, but for the better. It was fast and they already had the information gathered in an envelope: room key, parking pass, literature/info.) Smart!

We found this beautiful resort for my birthday getaway trip. It was far beyond what we expected. The room we stayed in was spacious. The amenities were everything we were looking for, from the indoor pool, indoor hot tub, and outdoor hot tub. Highly recommend!

I have been staying at The Meadowmere Resort with my family for over 20 years, and now I visit a few times a year with my partner. Even after all this time, I still have an amazing experience every trip. The staff is consistently wonderful. A huge shout-out to Ron, Nathan, and Patrina (and the rest of the team) for being so kind and helpful with everything from extra towels to room requests. While I was bummed that the Roman Spa was closed for renovations for part of my stay, I appreciate that the resort keeps the property updated and fresh. Plus, I ended up loving the outdoor jacuzzi even in this frigid weather! The continental breakfast is great (loved the Greek yogurt and bagels), and the lobby coffee nook and new gift shop are cute additions. My only small suggestion would be to spruce up the game room or add better signage for the video game systems and which games are available to play on them (also, I'll forever miss the pool table but I understand why it was replaced with air hockey). Thank you for another great stay, I can't wait to be back in a few months!

I'm actually still here, but I came here as a mom on a solo trip and ..... wow!!! I'm just so in love! I spent a bit extra and got the jacuzzi room and I just adore it! There is a pool inside and outside plus a bar attached to the outdoor pool for pool and margaritas! There are 2 restaurants on the premise and both are amazing! I am absolutely coming back again! Probably both with and without the fam. I cannot tell you how relaxed I am and how wonderful the staff has been.

Positives - - Perfect location near everything Maine's South Coast has to offer,, the room was spotless, the staff was very pleasant, the bed was very comfortable compared to a lot of places I've stayed. Negatives - there's only one elevator and the layout is a maze of hallways...I kept getting lost. And the 'map' they provide at check-in is even more confusing than the layout itself. With the exception of the bed, the remaining room furniture was very uncomfortable and threadbare, and the lobby furniture was also very stiff and awkward. Complimentary coffee is provided in the lobby and even though it tasted pretty good it was always only lukewarm, I had to use the lobby microwave which made it taste not-as-good. (Oh,, and no microwave in the room?? What's up with THAT??) For what you pay for a night, you should really be entitled to more than what you get for breakfast vs. what you have to pay for...included with your stay is the 'continental breakfast' of pre-wrapped and processed pastries & bagels and box cereal...or you can pay out $15 for the 'hot breakfast' of powdered eggs and rubbery bacon...do yourself a favor and hit The Omelette Factory for breakfast instead (same amount and an amazing breakfast with the friendly and outgoing staff). The room had only one spot for the USB port on the nightstand of one side of the bed, none near the little table in the room or on the second nightstand, and there were no docking stations or USB ports in the lobby. The room layout is really weird (tiny bathroom, the sink is outside the bathroom in the main room and it is too small; the 'balcony' is extremely small and overlooks an asphalt roof...not that we could actually get on it, the slider lock was broken.) The bathtub has no non-slip surface and is just plain DANGEROUS! The AC is in a really weird spot, very low to the floor and behind a large piece of furniture (I can't imagine the room staying cool in the warmer months without any circulation). The owner should really invest in some soundproofing because the walls are paper thin and you can hear all your neighbors' business; the jacuzzi room has a very small doorway. The pictures on the website are very deceiving in many aspects, on the site they don't mention that the indoor hot tub isn't even in the same building as the indoor pool. Overall, I expected more for what we paid...this was an anniversary trip and I doubt we'll go back for another.

Wonderful service at the West Meadow Pub by the pool directly across from the office. Bartenders Matt T. & Andre E. mix exquisite flavorful and smooth drinks with wonderful and inviting and very friendly customer service. This pub is without a doubt a bar with ample comfortable seating and even a couch to watch that Celtics game! The bar selection is above average and the mixologist are truly talented. A perfect end to a day at the beach to cool off and enjoy.

We came here on our last night because we wanted to see a switch of a hotel but we also didn't want to pay the Labor Day prices. We got there And it was a little confusing about exactly where to park. It was kind of weird the way it was set up but my boys kept calling it the castle which I guess that's how it looks. We asked for queen size beds and my mom was charged for them but we ended up getting double beds very far away from everything like on the opposite side which we had to get out and drive to. She ended up getting all her money back because she didn't get queen size beds. However, all the amenities and everything is my favorite. All the different types of pools and outside, inside, Roman spa etc It just made you feel like you were somewhere else. I would say The whole place did. I love the fire and the whole ambiance. Our room was pretty big but it felt kind of awkward having the bathroom so close to the beds. I really like the idea that you can just sit outside your hotel room. My boys really liked the movies and I definitely think we would be back

I am very impressed with Meadowmere. It was one of the most relaxing weekends we have had. The room was very comfortable and there was a misunderstanding with my original reservation and this nice man Eye at the front desk and Ron the manager made it right. We even got our original reservation back. There were so many mixed reviews I was debating whether I should come and I'm so glad we did. The location is perfect: a very short walk from the hotel to town and the marginal way. There are lots of pools and saunas and people bring their kids and they were well behaved and were entertaining rather than a bother. I would recommend this place for anyone who wants a fun relaxing vacation. Cudos to the staff.

I really don't like to give negative reviews, but this place has seen better days. I agree with previous posts that there's an odor in the rooms of cleaning materials. Also the temperature in the rooms is set too cold, kept having to turn the heat up. The carpeting is really old and stained. Overall it needs serious updating. But it was clean and the location is great. The staff was very nice and accommodating. They go out of their way to be helpful!

First room smelled like raw sewage and was confirmed by staff that it was a broken pipe somehow in that wing of resort so we were move to another room which had no heat then we were move again to a room with no hot water the owner of this resort should be ashamed of themselves this is worst stay ever had spent more time moving and we should have had to pay anything they should close this place down and fully renovate building inspector should shut place down

We stayed here bc we used travel points and B&Bs don't participate so our options were limited. We didn't care about any of the amenities so this review is only about the room and the location. Check in was fine. They were friendly enough and kept our bags. The room was ok. It is motel-style so our first floor room exits to the outside. The only window looks onto the walkway so we kept it closed, making the room kind of dark. The bathroom is too small and the carpet is a little dingy. TBH, I was expecting similar based on my cost ($0) and other reviews. There is a bit of a walk to the main Ogunquit intersection, the beach, and Perkins Cove, and while there is a sidewalk, you mostly walk on Main St, so there are cars whizzing by. But it's pretty centrally located, especially if you don't mind walking a few miles per day. TBH, this place merits 3 stars but I add one since the front desk was friendly and helpful.

3.5 Based off a one night stay in a suite! *Pool is great for kids, we had unfortunate weather and the pool gave us an activity to do! *Comfortable beds, we all had a great night sleep. *Close to Main Street, walking distance. *Staff we interacted with was super friendly. We did notice some Nerds on the carpet from the previous occupants but everything else seemed clean. I think this is a great place to stay with family, our kids had their own room in the suite which was nice.

I never write reviews. I called twice to verify the outdoor hot tub was working. Tues and Friday before arriving this Saturday. I've always stayed at the Anchorage but now they require a two night minimum. We arrived Saturday I paid for the early check in it was $30.00. It was a beautiful day we wanted to spend some time in the outdoor hot tub. Speaking to others they informed us they didn't have to pay for the early check in. We went to the outdoor spa to find out the jets didn't work . Called the front desk they said a part was arriving that day to fix it. Locals told us they haven't been working since December. Later that night we went back in the hot tub. Orange cone on the left hand side with some missing molding on stair. The right hand side was fine when we got in. I was sitting by the steps when I put my hand on the step to grab the railing. The molding on the step fell off 6-8 inches . I brought the piece to the front office told them it needed be closed before someone got seriously hurt. Looking around the hot tub multiple pieces of tile missing. I went to the front desk this am to see if it was open to be told by the girl that the parts are coming today to be fixed. Steps leading down to Roman spa are a trip hazard waiting to happen. Uneven should be marked with a cone. Our room was nice and staff.The staff just needs to be honest when guest are booking to state yes they have an outdoor hot tub but the jets aren't working. Not to keep telling them the part is coming that day . Locals are allowed to use the gym and spas for a cost .

We have stayed at Meadowmere many times. For the last 4out of 5 times we've stayed, the in room jacuzzi is not working! I ask each time I make the reservation, if the jacuzzi is working. They say ." yes, every jacuzzi is working. I went in the jacuzzi at 10:00 pm , press button, NOT Working!!! I was very upset. They know this & have not reached out to me or anything. My husband & I wanted a relaxing evening. Instead I was upset, it happened AGAIN ! Im done with this place

We stayed for 2 nights the last week in July. Ogunquit is super busy and the weather was beautiful. For those who like an easy review...here are the pros and cons. Pros: -proximity to beach and downtown is great -quiet even though family friendly -towels at the pool -cost -linens soft and comfy -nicely landscaped Cons: -checkin needs to be more efficient (the space is very crowded and although 2 women were checking people is as quickly as possible, there is nowhere to stand and no direction about how line formed -bathroom wasn't cleaned thoroughly (hairs in the tub) -front desk doesn't answer calls -housekeeping doesn't answer phone calls -outdated rooms -tvs need upgrading -pool needs to be cleaned (years of greasy grime at the top, some spaces were almost black with grime) -missing hot tub tiles could be easily replaced as could broken hot tub signs -we wished for some nice Adirondack chairs around the property to sit and look about -parking should be assigned. This is a very larger property and you get one spot per car. The first night we had to park on the other side of the resort and schlep luggage across several parking lots It was decent. It was meh. But town is awesome so we will return, but to a different hotel.

I stayed at Meadowmere with my family this weekend and just got home. This was by far the worst "resort" we have ever stayed at. To start parking is confusing, the whole layout of the hotel is confusing and signage was lacking. The website talked about a movie theater however they only had set movies continuously running and the front desk could not give any info on what was playing or when. The website also mentioned a pub which was closed since the only bartender quit the day we arrived. Breakfast was less than what I could of had at home and consisted of cereal, coffee, tea, powdered eggs and half cooked bacon. Other options included bagels and yogurt which my son pointed out had expired. The coffee area outside the pool was nice to have but the water was never hot. The hallways were drafty and cold. A big disappointment was the "spa". I love getting massages and usually fall asleep but not this time. The spa is located in the gym area. To clarify the massage therapist meets you at the entrance to the gym and takes you into a small room off the gym. The room did not smell nice, or have music, the table instead of having nice sheets was covered in two ply tissue paper and a towel. The massage itself was awful. It was extra deep tissue and painful I was twisted in strange ways. I'm not even sure they were trained, off the street or licensed. They did not have name tags or uniforms. Very disappointed in this stay.

When you pay over $500 per room you should not get. 1. Dated building, fixtures, and rugs. 2. Dirty carpets - beach area - hard surfaces please 3. Dirty pools - they should always be crystal clear 4. Staff that are not nice and helpful - though I was in MA for a minute 5. Motel should have been remodeled decades ago Needs help - call one of those DYI television shows and do the before and after!!

Gone are the days of me being wowd by this place. My mom and have been coming here for as long as I can remember. Every summer since I was a young girl. We love how close it is to everything walk wise especially oguniquit beach. This last trip though things changed. Mainly with the service in the hotel and how expensive it has become. Our first night we booked separately because we were told the room we had for 4 other nights was booked which was fine but that room was 500 dollars. Which is just crazy. We moved to the next room which was way better on the 1st floor. We didn't get our room serviced because I used to be a housekeeper so we didn't see a need but when asking for towels one day I got the same bad attitude. When we asked if on the last day we could check out late and pay for a half day we were told no but when looking online we saw over 20 rooms available. Apparently someone was moving into to the same room the latest checkout we could get was 12pm so we took it. At 10am a house keeper comes into the room and we screamed in here. All in all the staff was just rude. We didn't even get a receipt at checkout. Just told. You're all set! It wasn't the enjoyable exciting hotel we were used to. Next year we will be staying somewhere else. Not to mention all the kids running around the hotel at all hours of the night. Where are your parents?

Location Location Location....it's great, a few minutes walk along Route 1 (via wide well lit sidewalks, and traffic moves really slowly, so it's totally safe) to the downtown main street. Also located right next to Jonathan's which is a great restaurant. The rooms are on the small side and the decor a bit dated (although the bathroom does look like it was renovated lately). Both the indoor and outdoor pools are a nice feature, however both are quite small in relationship to the number of guests on the property - people were literally lined up waiting for a chair/lounge to become available at the outdoor pool when we left our spot. The staff was friendly and provided good information about a beach when we wanted to avoid the crowded Ogunquit beach.

Horrible stay. Booked a luxury suite for our anniversary. The room was a super weird layout. Yes, technically it had a fireplace, jacuzzi, balcony, and table. But nothing like any of the pictures on the website. In order to use the table, we couldn't get to the bed or balcony, much less the odd porno-mirrored jacuzzi. It technically had a TV, in an nook that could only be seen from the jacuzzi. The curtains didn't close all the way, so we had to deal with light from the balcony reflecting off the mirrors all night. And what a view of Rt 1! Constant noise from semis driving by... The heat turned off around 2 am, so that was fun as well... No hand sanitizer anywhere on our floor or in our room. No social distancing of any kind, just crowded spaces with way too many kids running around. We basically had to push people out of our way to get out of the building. Kids running up and down the halls all night. We're going to have to get PCR tests after this stay. Obviously we didn't have any of the "free" coffee or breakfast, as they just had stuff out without any protection. What kind of hotel doesn't have coffee in the room?!! Management is completely unresponsive. We paid with a gift certificate, and were told we would get the remainder when checking out. No one there knew how to do so, and there was no record of our gift certificate. The young woman, Tiffany, who was trying to check us out was very helpful, called the manager a few times, but apparently he had no interest in helping us. 7 hours later, we're still waiting for a call from them, as we had no interest in waiting in their germ-infested lobby.

Ron your horrendous front desk keeps hanging up on a customer you charged twice- you need to call me back regarding this reservation ASAP

Stayed here a few times, never a problem. Just stayed 2 nights this weekend and so far they charged me twice on my Debit/credit card. I spoke to management and she told me I skipped out on my bill and didn't pay them. both duplicate charged show as Processing on my bank account But manager said processing doesn't mean Paid and she will keep charging my card until it goes thru. Each time this is done it pulls the $$ out because it's my regular bank account and now I'm negative. Not going back ever again

I booked at Meadowmere as a change of scenery from being stuck inside my house due to covid-19. I needed a relaxing and safe place to stay that had WiFi so I could still work remotely. I made sure to book a room with a jacuzzi tub. I ended up in room 202. It didn't have the best view but the tub was amazing! The room itself was okay and very clean. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was TINY. There was a decent sized mini fridge and a small table with two chairs. The furniture is a little on the dated side. I wish there was a desk in the room. The small interaction with staff that I had was great. I love that they had a text option if you needed anything in your room. Breakfast was minimal (understandingly so) a small variety of cereals, muffins, and danishes all "to go".

We went here off-season for a girls weekend and it had everything we wanted. We really enjoyed our trip! Pros: - it seems like every room has its own balcony which is lovely - walking distance to everything, but not in the middle of town (15 minutes to Perkins cove, 10 minutes to downtown) - two pools and two hot tubs (indoor and outdoor of each) and the hot tubs are big - rooms for tons of people - the on site pub had live music in Saturday's - drinks allowed in the hot tubs - coffee and tea in the lobby 24/hours - cute towel animals - super friendly bartenders!! Considerations - the spa services are not really part of a spa. You have to book the services by calling a separate company and then they meet you at the hotel and use rooms inside the gym. The spa folks are really nice, but it definitely adds complications - we were offseason and it seems like there might be more kids during the regular season which could be rough

My husband and I stayed here for one night in June and really enjoyed the amenities including the pool and the hot tub including the drinks we could order by the pool. It was less than a mile to walk to all of the action which was a quick convenience. The rooms were ok. They felt like a three star experience. Everything is a little outdated however it is clean and minus a little bit of a noisy shower it was completely fine. While we did not come with our two children I would consider this in the future as I think this looks like a family friendly place. There is also an indoor pool if the outdoor pool gets a little too crowded as I would consider it to be a medium size. For anyone with a hybrid vehicle or electric they did have a charger however it was not working when we came and I would recommend asking the hotel before plug-in.

not impressed this time around, tried to check in @ 1:30, not many staying here by the number of cars, man at the desk said NO, COME BACK AT 4...also stayed 3 nites, no one checked on room to make up beds or give clean towels to us...never saw anyone there cleaning rooms...was kind of a let down this time having stayed there many times before...

Excellent service and comfortable stay. Right in the heart of Ogunquit. The staff were very helpful and were able to assist in any questions that we had. Stayed there on 2 separate occasions during the course of 2 weeks in June of 2019. Will be keeping this resort on our list of places to stay in the future!

First time at hotel and came away with mixed thoughts. Pro: seems like good resort with kids. Indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub, game room, great fitness center, while on Rt. 1, surprisingly quite, generally well maintained, clean property. Con: room was so small, did not have night stand and electric on one side, very "lite" breakfast (prepackaged muffin and coffee), 70's style heavy rug and curtains (hard to clean and woke up every morning with allergies). Bathroom smallest seen in years and made worse due to warped door that would not close. Amenities (breakfast, movies, etc.) from past years we heard about discontinued. Have traveled to Ogunquit for many years and does seem competitive to other hotels in same price point.

Definitely stay here if you enjoy kids running up and down the hallway outside your room all day and all night. The loud drunk people coming out of the restaurant late at night is an extra nice touch! This place is ridiculously overpriced (at least for us) and my family will never stay here again. It looks a lot nicer on the website than in person. The pools and hot tubs were packed all the time. The coffee and tea carafes were always lukewarm at best. However, the worst issue of all was the disgusting "stains" everywhere in our room - on the carpet, bed, etc. My wife wanted to throw up. When we contacted management about our issues, their response was "Well, our place isn't for everyone." Even the kids were grossed out. I legitimately felt ripped off for the rundown resort I paid a lot of money to experience. Never again.

Let me preface this with two things: - I have never stayed IN the Meadowmere as a guest - This review is primarily about their gym facilities, the rest is my own insipid rambling Got it? Good. I'm a lazy bastard. No no, I'm sure you're positively shocked to read this, but it's entirely true. If medical science were to somehow discover a way to let you remain svelte and healthy on a diet of Cheetos, Mountain Dew, and whiskey, all while remaining comfortably in bed during a glorious Netflix binge, covered head to toe in magnificent orange cheese dust? I would be the first fucking person in line to shake hands with the ones who discovered this magic. Unfortunately it's unlikely I'll ever live to see the day. And, on that note, if I ever want to see the next five years, I need to keep at it exercising. Unlike some people who seem to eat and drink whatever they want and remain thin (the bastards), I am one of those who actually has to make an effort. Do you know those types of people? You're like "You're so thin, how the hell? Do you like jog 20 miles a day and eat only a lettuce leaf for lunch?" And they're like "Huh? No, here, have some Cheetos." Don't you just want to punch them right in the neck? Because I do. Where was I? Oh yes. For a while I was going to one of the large fitness centers in Portland (I won't say what place, but "fitness" is in the name) due to its great location. HOWEVER, it's very popular, which means it's often packed wall to wall. Also, those big places, you get two basic groups of people. You get the people like me, who totally fucking hate having to be there, and you get the people who are in absolutely obscene physical condition because they spend hours and hours sweating and never eating anything even remotely fun. Now, the latter, while thin and in great shape, look totally miserable. I mean I've NEVER seen one of them smile. Not once. Of course, the other crowd of which I am one, DO smile. And do you know why we're smiling? Because we're thinking about Twinkies and just how many we can cram in our prodigious gullets the minute we're out of that sweaty hell hole. Nowadays I go to the gym at Meadowmere. It's near my office, I can go in at 6:00am, there's hardly anyone there, do my self torture, and leave happily. And why am I happy? I'm happy that I've gotten in some exercise, so I can tell my doctor "Yeah, I totally exercise regularly", then go pretty much across the street to Amore Breakfast (see my review) and shovel 10,000 calories of delicious into my face. The hotel itself, as I make my way down, is always very clean, the lawn nicely manicured, and the staff quite friendly. In the fall, nearing Halloween, there's a large scarecrow witch outside that's like 15' tall, and for some reason that makes me really happy. There is a full compliment of machines for every workout need, cardio equipment, and my personal (hated) favorite, free weights. There is a Smith machine if you're so inclined, as well as a very well built squat setup, with enough room and weights for dead lifts. Generally my fellow masochists who use the space tend to return weights to their respective locations, and people are really good about personal space, not being loud, and not being annoying. The space isn't huge by any means, but from late September to early May, the entire town more or less clears out since it's very much a summer destination, so it's very rarely packed. Of course, I've only ever used the men's locker room, and it's always very clean, the floors obviously being mopped at least a few times a day, the counter around the sink is spotless. Granted, I'm getting in there early in the day, so later in the afternoon things could be different. If you're planning on showering after your workout, I suggest bringing your own towel as those are not supplied, but the showers are also very clean, the water is nice and hot with good pressure. One very minor complaint: The hours are listed as opening at 6:00am, and on a number of occasions I've arrived right at 6:00 or even a little after, and the locker room hasn't been unlocked. For the most part, that's not a big issue, but when you've REALLY gotta pee, or fill your water bottle (I mean hey, if you're inclined to combine the two, sure, not a big deal, but I'm not quite at that level of recycling mania), it's a big deal. I believe there might be a public restroom near the front office, but that's a bit of a walk away. I admit that I'm someone who is punctual to a fault, and if something says "Open at 6:00" I get prissy if it's not open at 6:00, ready to roll. So if you're in the area looking for a gym, I recommend the Meadowmere. I've also spoken to quite a few people I've encountered through work who stay there regularly and nary a complaint to be had.

Really enjoyed our stay at this resort. They have so many amenities like the indoor and outdoor pools and jacuzzi. They have movies in a small theatre room, they have complimentary breakfast, and a spa. I liked that the staff was very friendly and knowledgable. Beds are very comfortable.

This place is terrible. Rooms are outdated and the GM should not have a job. I stayed in a room that had a jacuzzi tub and a fairly expense rate. Jacuzzi didn't work and the AC was sub par. I made management aware and the GM offered a small rebate which I accepted. I told him the room was paid for in cash and I needed another way to be refunded. He didn't respond. I emailed him numerous times but he refused to respond. Truth is the rooms are outdated and overpriced. The hotel offers no advantages over other more inexpensive hotels. I have never taken the time to give a hotel a negative result but the management at this place is a joke

I've written many of these over the years and I've always bee direct and objective about how I saw things. It took me a few days before I wrote this because thus was our stopping point on our honeymoon. So I'm going to list all the things we liked all the things we didnt Likes: Personality from most of staff was fantastic and friendly. The breakfast lady was the nicest woman in world and wanted to make sure breakfast was a great experience for each person. Outdoor hottub felt so good I love them and my wife felt in love with them during this trip. The steam room felt so good. I went a.couple.times and it was relaxing and felt soo good My wife liked having a tanning booth right there It was close to a lot of cool things and nice restaurants. Things that also were good Pool was clean and felt good Russian spa AMD excersizr room were okay. I didnt think they made the place but we.used them me enjoyed. Issues The room was not what we expected. They had a honeymoon package and I had called 4 months before and booked but it was not the honeymoon package. Furniture was old and outdated, the bed was held up underneath but 2 pieces of 2x4. I had talked when I booked it about the service that was pictured and was under impression that was what we were getting. In pictures and wording on website and the conversation when I called we were under impression it was closer to ocean.. it wasnt couldnt even see it. Our entire honeymoon theme was ocean. When we got there they "held" an extra night on credit card. We didnt know upfront this was going to be there and that's a great deal of money. On what ended up being last day of our stay bc we checked out a day early, they started closing hottub with no warning. Even staff didn't know It was very nice of them to let us leave a night early bc my mother had gotten sick. But we really felt in a little of things we were mislead and misinformed. There was a great deal of walking outside in rain and cold bc things were in different rooms. I bought a couple surprises for my bride one was a wine basket and the Rose's. They day before we left saying honeymoon gets a free bottle of wine. And there was also a "misunderstanding" in price of extras too. Not.surenif we will stay here again Thanks

This is our 5th stay at this location and it keeps going downhill each time. The rug in our room was disgusting with 2 food stains. The room had a moldy stay that we believe came from the rug needing to be replaced. We just replaced a 20 year old rug in our home that was in better shape. There were food stains all the way up the wall near the trash. The shower water stopped right in the middle of being covered in soap. When my wife called the front desk, the man at the front desk said "What do you want me to do, I can't make water." The water came back after about 5 minutes. The same man called from the front desk and asked if our water was back which we confirmed. His response was a sarcastic "Thanks for letting me know." The so-called heated pool is very cold to the point that you can-not enjoy it at all. This "resort" charges more than most hotels in the area. I travel a great deal globally for business and the room at this hotel was one of the worst experiences that I can remember. The breakfast for a higher priced hotel was cheap prepackaged pastries. To assure that this is not a disgruntled customer, I will say that the bed was very comfortable and aside from the rude no water experience, most of the hotel staff were very nice. They cannot help it if badly needed renovations were needed years ago

I do not recommend. It was extremely noisy and the amenities in the room were very poor for the price paid.

Very nice, old-school resort. A little rough and dated around the edges but that honestly adds a little to its appeal in my book. The pub is decent and has a great selection of local beers. Nice that they have a restaurant and conference space on-site as well. The gym is exceptional. Rarely can you find a place that has so many freeweights and an actual squat rack. I would absolutely come back.

I am not really understanding how this place has more than a two star average... our stay was extremely inadequate. For a place that charges the same price as a luxury hotel and advertises as a "resort" I felt like my room was more akin to one in a motel. The room was simply nowhere near acceptable for the price charged. We really felt ashamed for paying the amount charged for what we received. I understand prices fluctuate according to the peak beach season, but for the price of one weekend you can take yourself on a lovely vacation elsewhere on the east coast, spend much less and receive a much nicer room. I will say that the Roman spa and outdoor pool were a nice touch and we did relax there. But they simply could not make up for that room. You are paying to the location alone.

We love it here. Far enough from the ocean so the rooms aren't damp. Close to town. Clean. Nice pool. Food at the restaurant is always good.

Loved the Meadowmere! This resort was beautiful and clean. My two sons loved the all the amenities especially the Roman spa. Every night after our long day of adventures we would spend at least 20 minutes relaxing in the spa. I also used the fitness center which was well equipped and the largest I've ever seen in a hotel, quite impressive. The only reason I'm not giving them the full five stars is because the parking lot is very tight and it doesn't help when they allow large motor coaches parked sloppily away from the curb. Also I had read reviews stating they served Congdon's donuts at breakfast but sadly this was not the case when I was there last week. The breakfast was still very good, as it included scrambled eggs, bacon, oatmeal, yogurt, fresh fruit and delicious moist banana bread.

We just returned from our 5 night 2 grand vacation at the Meadowmere. We had a balcony room overlooking the pool. The room was sooo small with barely enough room to move. The balcony was only used as a clothing dryer because of its tiny size and awkward shape. There were two plastic chairs on the balcony that face a wall. If you did want to sit in the chairs and look at a wall then only one person at a time or you will get kicked by your partner The beds and pillows were comfortable. The bathroom was sooo tiny! There was absolutely no shower pressure! Took forever to rinse off beach sand! The bathroom sink was outside of the bathroom near the mini fridge. The so called kitchen counter which doubbled as a bathroom counter was super weird and a little gross! The first 3 nights we were there we needed to call housekeeping for BASIC services that were not done. You know, toilet paper and towles...basics. The third night we called housekeeping at 2:30pm for clean towles and to ask why our beds wernt made as of yet. The housekeeper told us she was busy all day and she leaves at 3 so she cant do it today!!! So we went to bed in unmade beds that night. They did have someone at least come up to deliver bath towles and face cloths which consisted of 3 bath mats and hand towles! The general mananger called the next day to apologise. She also sent a sand pail with snacks. $2000.00 Yes folks, all of this great service for almost $400.00 a night! Lets move on. The pool towles they supply are so old and ratty, embarrassing! The pool service is spotty and very inconsistent. Indoor pool was green. Outside pool was nice but despite the nice lights in it, they close it at dusk. The game room is awful. No pool table, air hockey table broken, change machine broken. Oh and the grilling area thats advertised is terrible. They have two grills shoved allll the way in the back of the resort basically on the woodsy tree line. The one grill that we DROVE our food to didnt even work! Only one burner was operational. They also have a fire pit that was nice but its gas so no smores for you We love Ogunquit but will definitely not be returning to the Meadowmere.

Decent room, except for the bed. Super expensive and the GM (Jon) ignored my feedback after specifically asking me for it. The fitness center was the highlight. Jonathan's is a nice restaurant on premises. We will not stay there again. Too many options with GM's who care enough to reply.

An OK place to stay, but nothing special. Some of the staff are nice and helpful, others not so much (the woman who checked us in really got things off to a bad start - fortunately we never saw her again and everyone else was very nice). Geared for families and kids - the pool will keep the kids occupied all day and they can run around all over the place (and indeed they do). Not quite so good for couples seeking a quieter venue. The experience is much more the no-frills family package than that of a higher end B&B or inn. Pros: 1) reasonably priced, 2) room was clean and comfortable, 3) conveniently located (there's a shuttle that picks up behind the motel and will take you pretty much anywhere you want to go in Ogunquit, so long as you're back by 8:00), 4) lots of amenities (indoor and outdoor pools, indoor and outdoor jacuzzis, restaurant, bar, fitness center - we didn't avail ourselves of these amenities so I can't comment on them other than to say they are there). Cons: 1) parking is tight, especially later at night, i.e., don't expect to find a parking space when you get back from a show (fortunately the Ogunquit Playhouse is an easy ten minute walk away) or dinner or a few drinks at one of the many local pubs, 2) tiny bathroom and my wife hated the basin/mirror ensemble separately located out of the bathroom and in the main sleeping area (although I didn't give it a second thought). Not a bad place to bring the kids, but if you're looking for a nicer experience, look elsewhere.

Highly disappointed in the customer service we are receiving from an inn which we have spent thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours at always without incident. It is the Trivial incident however really strikes a chord with those who spend their hard earned money at establishments rely on it such as this. I have a gift certificate in the amount of $125 it must be used in conjunction with another evening. That is one stipulation which was agreed to. It's a well-situated hotel and the staff is excellent. Friendly and responsive. However, the rooms are very small (at least the regular rooms are small). We booked a king size room and a cot and it basically was a room where we could walk around the bed and the cot. The bathroom is very small but serviceable with very good water pressure from a unique shower head (it comes out on a very invigorating spray) and a clean compact tub area. It's a beach area hotel so there was some wear and tear-specifically darkens grout on floor in some areas and some mildew high up on wall paper above shower. The carpet in our room was is a bit too high and prevented the door from closing automatically when you leave room. The small sink area with a shelf and limited counter space is outside of the area where there is the tub and toilet. The bed is very very soft and made of heat retaining foam. Very nice linens and pillows. Thick well sized towels. Sliders lead to a tiny balcony (if you go for a second floor room). We booked very close in time to our stay so here we're limited room options. Next time we will try to reserve a larger room. We were put at first on a west facing room which has a view of route 1 and the front of the hotel and its garden beds. For us hat was too busy too public and not very pretty. We were able to move to an east facing room right across the hall which we thought was much better. Although it had a view of parking lot as many of the rooms do-- we looked into trees and could come home from beach and catch a cool breeze. Room for two chairs in front of the a/c exhaust but you can go out for a breath of fresh air and also (of course!) lay out your beach togs to dry overnight. Decent game room, two movies a day (4pm PG or G and 8PM Pg13 in a forty seat tv/movie room) a nice indoor pool and a not as nice small outdoor pool. Laundry facilities (a plus on a long Maine vacation) and continental breakfast (conlon's donuts, various cakes and pastries, cold cereals, over cooked hard boiled eggs, toast bread mini bagels, two or theee kinds of sliced fruit and English muffins, oatmeal, juice and coffee and tea-- breakfasf room can get crowded depending on time and weather but we decided to skip it after our first two days because we wanted to try some Local places for full breakfast instead. Still it's there if you want it! It's a little bit of a quirky place but very very clean. We were able to get parking in Ogunquit and Perkins cove and would walk from there. You can walk down to shore road and to marginal road dorm the hotel. Be sure to have desk staff show you on map how to walk places. Staff and cleanliness and friendliness are the mainstays here.

A Great place to stay when visiting Southern coast of Maine! Very clean,beautiful outdoor pool and hot tub,also indoor pool and gym. Friendly staff and very convenient If seeing a show at Jonathan 's(who serves $1 oysters daily 4-6) Will definitely visit again!!!

These reviews are meant to help fellow travelers make decisions, so I'll try to do that. We personally did have issues with this reservation where it was somehow duplicated, and neither one was honored by the hotel as part of the wedding block, so we paid through the nose unnecessarily. AND, an attempt was made by the hotel to charge us a cancellation fee for the mistake. BUT, again, this should be a generic review to help others. SO, here's the skinny...this place is no where near, in any way shape or form, a $350/night hotel. It's small, dark, and cramped. You are far, far away from any downtown or beach. The rooms are styled in knotty pine and peeling wallpaper. I simply can't understand a higher rating by anyone, but then some guest from Massachusetts parked in the reserved registration space all night, so they must be the happy ones! ;)

Great time! Enjoyed ourselves! The management was reasonable with a miscommunication and honored the lower price for us. This allowed us to spend a bit more in the local restaurants and buy some things to bring home. The breakfast was called a continental but it was much more than that! Eggs, home made muffins and the rest of it. Much more than just English muffins and a toaster! Excellent stay for us and as repeat customers we will be back! Thanks so much!!!

Rooms are clean which is a huge plus. The room itself and bathroom are small compared to other places I've stayed in the past (my family comes to Maine a lot). This is the first hotel/resort I've stayed in that did not have a coffee machine in the room. I'm not impressed at all and will definitely be trying out other options.

Husband and I spent our one year anniversary at Meadowmere. We had a really nice jacuzzi suite on the top floor. We went to the Roman bath once, that was very nice. Staff was incredibly nice. Place is walking distance to the center of town and to the beach. Now the cons: no free breakfast in the off-season...not cool, if you really can't give breakfast, at least provide a voucher for a place that can! Also, we were kinda bummed that they didn't do anything for our anniversary. Not that we expected it, but it definitely would have been a nice touch (especially since they place was pretty empty on the Wed and Thurs that we were there).

We have been to Ogunquit many, many times but this was our first stay at Meadowmere. Were very pleased with the hotel and will definitely plan to stay here again on our next visit to Maine. Some of the highlights from this hotel Include both indoor and outdoor pools (which is a bonus in case of inclement weather), a huge hot tub room, very spacious and clean rooms, very friendly staff and easy access to the trolley. The free breakfast was so much more than we expected and we were very pleasantly surprised with it. It included the standard continental breakfast cuisine but also had some hot foods as well and offered a good selection for a hearty breakfast. It was much more than most hotels offer. The hotel is just a short walk to downtown and Marginal Way. It's a little bit of a hike to get to the beach, especially if you are loaded down with beach chairs and gear, but those of us who didn't mind walking did so without problem and the rest of us who preferred not to walk (or had a lot of things to carry) were easily accommodated by the trolley which picks you up right near the hotel and brings you right to the beach entrance. The only complaint that we had about this entire hotel was the lunch service in the pub. We went there one day for lunch and although there were only two other tables waiting to be served, we had to wait over an hour to receive our lunches which were actually pretty simple meals consisting of sandwiches and one salad. Upon arrival, after waiting for over an hour, two of the orders weren't even correct. Fortunately they were able to replace both orders in a very quick manner which confused us as to why we had to wait so long in the first place. The next day two of our family members were at the pool and got hungry so they ordered from the pub again for lunch and again there was a long wait (less than an hour this time but still a long time) and again one of the orders was wrong. I don't know what the confusion or slowness regarding the lunch service is, but I won't even bother to take off any stars for it because the rest of the hotel (and especially the fact that the breakfast was so generous) very much made up for it. Over all our entire family which includes two adults and three teenagers/young adults were very happy with this hotel and all of us agreed that on our next vacation to Ogunquit we will definitely be staying here.

My son and I stayed for one night and took advantage to their last minute stay deal. Great room, great service and happy to see they have Covid-19 procedures in place. I am headed back in August and I can't wait. Location was great as it is a short walk to Perkins Cove, downtown and right next door to Jonathan's where we had a delicious breakfast. I have stayed several places in Ogunquit and this is by far the best value for my dollar.
