Meander 1948

This hostel is fantastic, from when we first arrived I was welcomed by Mitch and the team with a big smile and helpful information ( also English speaking staff ) . We were able to drop bags off as we had arrived before the 3pm check in time. The private balcony room didn’t disappoint, great views and the water pressure was superb. Room was super clean. Great location in the heart of Taipei close to the station which was handy we had a lot of bags with us to carry. On the day of check out we were able to use the facility and social area in the afternoon before our flight and he front desk team organized and sorted out taxi to the airport. this level of care and support was much appreciated highly recommend and we will be staying again.

Hands up if you are this many years old and never stayed at a hostel 🙋‍♀️. This place made me question my life choices, the experience did not match the expectation. It was amazing! I did get a private room with a bathroom and balcony so it was definitely a hotel vibe for me. But they have a commons area, walk for those long days and a crew that is incredible at what they do. I worked with Patience during my stay, she even helped me book a massage at the last minute. Yes this place is close to the trains, malls, night markets and any other hidden gem you can think of. There's also a 7/11 right next door for those late night snacks. Very safe and accommodating area with lots of opportunities for people watching. Definitely will stay here again when in Taipei.

5/5 This place is always fully booked and glad I had a chance to stay here! The location is very accessible and very near to the Taipei Main Station. The room, restroom, and common area are very clean. They also provide some free essentials like cotton buds, floss, pads, and they also have a hair dryer. The place is well maintained! The staff are also welcoming and accommodating. This is my first time staying at a hostel and I would say that it didn’t disappoint me! I recommend this to first time travelers! (I booked a 1 bed for 8 persons in one room but they also have private rooms for 2 or more.) A lovely stay indeed!

It is my first time to solo travel internationally, this accommodation and Taiwan itself offers the BEST experience I could have. The hotel is clean, cozy, have friendly staffs and we'll located in Taipei City. Didn't find it hard to communicate and locate the place. Overall, this is a very affordable but provides great stay.

My stay at MEANDER 1948 felt like a five-star experience. The cozy sleeping pods had great lighting and provided a perfect balance of privacy and comfort. Bathrooms and showers were spotless and well-maintained. The common area was warm and inviting, making it easy to relax or meet fellow travelers. The coffee machine was a great touch, adding to the homey feel. Overall, MEANDER 1948 exceeded my expectations with its cleanliness, comfort, and thoughtful design—I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Taipei!

The best part probably is the location, central to most of the things you wanna see in central Taipei. A nice helpful staff at the front reception who also helped me save some money. For the price this is a good choice. I love their Common Room and its amenities.

The stay was good because of the location. It was near Taipei Main Station so it was convenient to get around. I enjoyed the balcony, the coffee machine and the laundry facilities. Room was fine for the price. There was a lack of place to keep clothes (there were no shelves). We had a toilet in the room. There was no separation between the shower and the toilet area so the floor of the entire toilet got wet pretty easily. Installing a shower curtain might help? The meal vouchers were welcome since they could be used at any time of the day (not only breakfast). Might be good for couple/solo travellers. I wouldn't mind staying here again.

Had a great one-night stay. Staff was really helpful with luggage and check-in flexibility and communication. The common areas and hostel environment is charming, energetic, and the room and amenities condition was good.
