"Meat Press, Hintonburg by PLOTNONPLOT. This little corner sandwich joint has the power to pull you in with an outdoor menu displaying a short list of succulent offerings. Foraging local suppliers and slanting towards the lovely richness of the French-Canadian sensibility, this shop sensitively assembles its masterpieces, compliments them with equally considered sides, and finishes the meal with house-made sodas. Nothing beats taking in the streetscape while sitting on the curb with a hearty sandwich.Go before noon if you have your heart set on something specific that you’ve seen online, it’s popular."
Meat Press is an amazing lunchtime place ... great food with fresh ingredients and a relaxed atmosphere! While we only got there once, friends at its amazing every time! We ordered shared the Cubano - layers of ham and cheese on an a fresh sourdough bun! Enough to share! Loved this place!!

I’ve discovered this place recently and it makes me happy. Why? The food is delicious and all made in-house. First time around, I had the Jefferson, a melt-in-mouth sandwich of deep fried pork jowl, brisket burnt ends and sausage all smothered in barbecue sauce. Second visit (two days later) I had Grandma’s Pork with boudin. Delicious morsels of richly flavoured and light textured boudin with succulent pork stew on a bed of charred Brussels sprouts and golden roasted potatoes. I added a smoked meat poutine too which had thin crispy fries and cheese that stretch when you pull away from the plate. But that smoked meat! I think of this place every week during lunch, I like it that much.

Stopped by meat press for lunch. Takeout and dine-in available with seating for about 20. You order your food before finding a table. Choice of sandwich or bowl, we ordered bowls. Which are deconstructed sandwiches without the bread. Delicious, fresh and all locally sourced. Would definitely come back. Service was also good.

Hey - we are all in this together! While I am working from home, I’m also trying to find a way to support local restaurants.
Luckily for me, Meat Press is a short walk from home and it is so worth the visit.
If there is an upside to all this, its the ability to grab a local brew to go!
The chicken sandwich was done perfectly - crispy on the outside, tender and juicy inside. I also enjoyed the simplicity of it all.
I ordered a side of fries and they were a well paired item. Shoestring fries are wonderful.

This is a great gem in Westboro: a meat lovers paradise. The meat is locally sourced and fresh. The menu consists of meat sandwiches ( duck, pork, beef, chicken) and/or bowls filled with meat. The small restaurant is licensed and staff quick and friendly. Be prepared for lineups st lunchtime. The place has a funky vibe and a selected poor bohemian decor.

The cubano sandwich was incredibly satisfying! The melting pan fried cheese was a very nice touch to the meal, the quality of meat was tender and had a good balance of fat to meat ratio. Solid 5/5
The ceasar brussel was a nice touch to this meat heavy meal. I would recommend this to compliment your meal.

The smoked brisket sandwich is absolutely spectacular. The brisket is tender, smokey, and has a slight savoury bitterness from the bark. Pickles are perfect to balance out the fattiness of the meat. The bun itself was a bit greasy with butter but it gave it a decadent feel. Staff is friendly as always.

The best smoked duck meat sandwich ever. Their Lavender iced tea was also good. Service was great and not too crowded at lunch time on a Thursday. Would definitely come back to try the other sandwiches :)
