Medellin Modern Art Museum

If you had to be a country, which one would you be and why? 🌆. A walk through Parque Botero was a highlight — those oversized, playful sculptures by Fernando Botero really bring the park to life. Add in the city’s mix of modern and historic architecture, and it’s the perfect blend of art and culture 🎨✨.

A special interesting building. Some good exhibits about local issues. You can see their effort to present a creative and wide spectrum of ideas and topics. Multiple floors so lots to see. A well curated gift shop, we bought souvenirs and some notebooks.

Great place. A bit limited about the exhibits, but there are some great spaces. You definitely have to visit the souvenir store

Great museum, lots of things to see. Description was in multiple languages. Gift shop had nice items. Only thing was I did not like the layout.

Great! Great Museum all around. To begin with, the building is a masterpiece of contemporary Colombian architecture. Second, both gift shop and the cafe are world-class. Finally the exhibits very impressive. Very well curated. Makes you think about art.

This was an amazing museum. In the heart of El Centro it featured a exhibit the greatest artist out of Columbia. It was nice three stories a lot of history and different styles of art. If you’re not lover, this is a must.

I really liked the exhibit of first world artist visiting the Amazon and telling their story on behalf of the people. That way I don’t have to actually talk to the people or visit the Amazon. A lot of self righteousness akin to an instagram post. Makes me want to go photograph the lgbtq community, or displaced people, or others who are less fortunate. The artists’ intent to be a pastiche of kitsch art was achieved. Kudos to Sandra from Toronto, Marcel, Gervane, Moara, and Anna. If I left any revolutionaries out I apologize. Keep up the good work! *Sidenote: I sure hope Artists keep telling the stories of others, instead of teaching them how to express themselves. Second hand information is so quick, efficient. I can pump out like 15 works from one conversation with a less fortunate person. Lesssss gooooo!!!
