Local highly recommended cafe right in the town centre. Great hospitality to refreshingly start your day with breakfast. I like them pay attention to the details to even cool the cups to make sure your drinking water is cool enough. Breakfast means a lot to me so if you are my kind please grab a seat in the Med when you visit Tauranga.

Really nice place for breakfast with many options on the menu and additional pastries in the showcase. I had the toasted bagel with salmon and coffee - both were great. The staff is also lovely Great way to start your day

Absolutely fantastic place. Just stayed in Tauranga for a couple weeks and besides being on the road in the north island, I was hitting this place up every morning. The food is banging and the coffee is great. Heading back to Canada now but I’ll miss The Med

The meals here are sensational. Everything is made on the premises using only the freshest local ingredients. The barista made coffee is also excellent. The Med (as it is fondly known) has maintained consistently high standards over many years. There is nowhere else I would rather go for delicious food during the day in Tauranga.

Amazing cafe and food. Iced coffee hit the spot on a sunny morning and the open omelet was perfect. Not oily or greasy..just perfect. We really liked the smoothie which didn't taste of cheap syrup. They were very accomadating with our little kids taste of fried eggs.

We mostly came to try the bagels but were disappointed because they tasted more like regular bread than real bagels. On the other hand, the omelet we tried was terrific. Plus we loved the cozy atmosphere inside and the good service. So this gets an easy five stars in spite of the bagels.

What an excellent little cafe... very cool! We stopped off here Sunday morning prior to heading back to auckland after checking out of our hotel. Coffees and breakfast ordered and man were we happy. I had the porridge which was perfect for a winters morning and my partner had the pancakes... all was brill. Service was impeccable and the coffee ranked a good 4.5 out of 5!! Highly recommended stop if you are in town... parking outside and generous seating both inside and outside the cafe.

What a great little find for us! Well, it took as a while but clearly there are many other people that have been enjoying the awesome food and outstanding service for a lot longer than us. My partner is vegan and they had great suggestions and went out of their way to make a delicious breakfast. I LOVED the food. Made with love and the service was second to none. Will definitely be back!
