Arrived home from here on Thurs 30/10/25. I travelled with my two daughters age 17 and 15. I was worried after seeing some reviews and that we were going late season. I shouldn't have worried. We had a lovely time. The place was clean, I agree rooms maybe need some upgrades but ours was more than adequate for our needs. Kids paid for room WiFi which worked fine but I was happy with access around the rest of the hotel. We all enjoyed the food, knowing that if we (the girls) didn't fancy the themed night food there was always pasta or chips etc. As for the staff, considering they were about a week away from completing a long season they were fabulous. The team in the restaurant worked so hard and the bar staff worked equally as hard, despite some very rude guests! We sauntered down to the nearest supermarket and also took a taxi to the old town, again everyone was so friendly. I would recommend. Thanks team Mediterraneo!

The hotel is in a good location, 30 km from Heraklion, by the sea. The weather is still very good in mid-October, the sea is warm and the weather is no longer deadly hot but pleasantly warm. The hotel rooms are in reasonably good condition, they need a little updating, but the overall impression is ok. They are cleaned every day, bed linen is changed twice a week. The meals are delicious and the choice was very good, there is something for everyone. The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly, I especially liked the restaurant hostess Eva, who was always available everywhere and had a kind word for every visitor. Based on my experience, I dare to recommend the hotel.

I stayed at Hotel Mediteraneo at the end of October. Overall, the hotel itself is very nice – clean and comfortable rooms, tasty (though limited) food, and friendly ladies at the reception. The location is beautiful, with amazing views and gorgeous palm trees by one of the pools. Unfortunately, there were some serious issues with the staff. Two security guards were often drinking alcohol instead of doing their job, and later became aggressive towards guests — completely unacceptable behavior in a hotel. But the worst part of my stay was definitely the bar staff. The bartenders were extremely rude, arrogant, and unprofessional from start to finish. They clearly disliked serving guests, often ignored people at the bar, and treated some with open disrespect. They even watched what guests had on their tables before deciding whether to serve them drinks. It was frustrating and ruined the whole atmosphere. It’s a real shame because the hotel itself has so much potential — beautiful surroundings, good food, and nice reception staff — but the behavior of the bartenders and the security guards completely spoiled what could have been a great experience. I would recommend this hotel only if you have a lot of patience and don’t mind dealing with rude and unprofessional staff.

We had lovely time this October. You feel very relaxed as staff is welcoming and kind. They do not behave like 'police'. Food is superb. Hotel very organised. Not overcrowded. Spa offers nice massage, ferrari of all massages I ever had done by Joanna- highly recommend. We arrived after midnight and were offered food which really does not happen elsewhere- so kind of reception. Beach is 5mins walk so you dont get bored. 26 degrees all week at the end of October. Highly recommend if you are looking for relaxation and not the 'policing' type hotel.

Hotel is great. Room was clean and spacious with a balcony looking towards the sea. Staff were kind and accommodating. Food was good. What you'd expect for breakfast- eggs, toast, bacon etc. Lunch was a mix of salads, pasta and sandwich things. Dinner was very interesting as every night was a different theme. Italian, Asian, traditional Greek, street food, fish. Kept things fresh and meant you could try more interesting things. Wifi isn't included unless you pay extra. Free WiFi in the lobby, pool and surrounding area but you need to pay of you want WiFi in the rooms.

Chose this hotel having been before, 3 years ago. Knew the food was good, knew the rooms were big enough and was a short walk to some nice beaches and water park. The staff here are very welcoming, but in the restaurant Eva goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. Welcomes you literally with open arms, and the one person we hoped to see again on this holiday.

The hotel's outstanding quality is its staff. The reception is very professional. All the staff are excellent. I'm thinking especially of Maria at reception, who was incredibly helpful and saved our stay by finding a suitable room for my mother. I'm very grateful to her. I'm also thinking of Evita, who is very polite, patient, kind, and always smiling. Mr. Mike Junior is very polite, friendly, and communicates well. In the restaurant, Eva and Maya were amazing. They touched me deeply when we left. They were always warm, polite, smiling, and efficient. Their presence is important in the restaurant, especially for the well-being of the guests. All the restaurant staff were impeccable. But Eva and Maya are truly exceptional. The food was varied and delicious. The hotel and rooms were very clean. The hotel is well located, but it's a 1 km walk to the beach and 2 km to the town center. I recommend renting a car if you want more comfort and save time. The most beautiful beach in the area is the one in front of the Hotel Meditereneo and right in front of the open-air museum on the beach. The center of Hersosissos is lively and has many local shops. People in Crete, in general, are grumpy... Im talking about local people not but stranger workers. There's a lot of rudeness. I've rarely seen anything like it. On the other hand, the foreign workers are always polite and helpful. I always asked where they were from. I was happy with the trip thanks to the hotel staff.

Lovely hotel with good facilities, the spa is amazing, great atmosphere, and the workers are very welcoming and friendly. The hotel rooms are spacious and the buffet has a wide variety. It’s a great location and has lots of things to do locally. I wouldn’t quite say it was a 4 star hotel but it did the trick! It has been a great stay!
