Easily our favorite restaurant in Taormina, and now one of my favorite in the world. The ambiance is impeccable, on a patio garden with ancient stone walls and verdant plant growth creating a magical environment that feels far away from the tourist crush below. The food is also top level, with cocktails and wines to match. We had calamari and vegetables, tempura style, with angry sauce, ravioli, tuna tataki, which was very special, amberjack in brown fish stock and caponato, and a few others. Everything was “top shelf” - should be up for a Michelin listing. Service was attentive and friendly. They even made a special sauce and had gluten free pasta options for my poor wife’s dietary needs. I will return each time I’m in Taormina!
