Medplaya Hotel Rio Park

We stayed at the hotel for a week & it was so much nicer than expected. Lovely decor & staff . Nice room with balcony. Pool area was large with plenty of sun beds (more on that later . ) . There’s a great area for kids with slides etc . Life guard on duty & pools are cordoned off at end of day which is a great safety feature. Great food in restaurant with plenty of choice. There’s a pool side cafe & bar . Evening entertainment was ok , a couple of nights were excellent. Easy access down to beach & nightlife. Equidistant to old town & strip .

Fantastic, all you could want and more.Check into hotel was quick and efficient, even had a free code to use the safe. Room spotless with lovely laundered sheets and towels. Restaurant was spotless and food was very impressive, from freshly cooked breakfast andcontinental breakfast. The evening meals offered something for everyone, with a different meat being cooked and served fresh every evening. There was also a kiddies area offering them a variety of hot meals, desserts and sweeties. Poolside spotless lots of loungers and a no reserve sunbed policy which is monitored and enforced, meaning everyone could get one if they wanted. Pool cleaned daily and a separate play pool for the kiddies. Plenty of separate seating areas inside or outside for the entertainment. Inside the hotel lobby is a fabulous bar with entertainment that kicks off when main entertainment finishes. Drink prices very good with a pint of San Miguel priced at €3 and a glass of wine €2.50 Staff very friendly.

Our 3rd consecutive stay here, hopefully next year our 4th.It's in a quieter location but near beach, shops,cafes/pubs and the market.From a nearby bus stop you can get to and from the old town tho taxis are reasonably priced and it's not that far to walk.At breakfast and dinner there's a good choice of hot and cold dishes.Staff are very pleasant, rooms are an adequate size,comfy beds,big towels changed daily if you wanted,Dove toiletries,safe and air con that were easy to use, balcony with table and chairs.Always cleaning going on somewhere.People who say the hotel is dirty are so wrong.It's the holiday makers, mostly Brits,who have no respect,and are bringing up their children to be the same, flicking cigarette ash onto our balcony tho ash trays are in every room, paper towels on the floor next to the bin in the toilets,food, drink and cigarettes round and under the sunbeds by the pool where again there are plenty of bins then they complain about the seagulls!! To end on a positive note the day trip to Valencia is well worth doing.

We returned from Benidorm yesterday and I can confidently say that Rio Park is one of the finest hotels I have ever stayed in. The rooms are clean (we had a spacious family room) , and the buffet, particularly at dinner, is both rich and exceptional. The pool area is vast and offers a very comfortable atmosphere. The staff are friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.

Had such a lovely time staying at Rio Park. Food was lovely, staff very helpful, and pool very big and clean. The entertainment was brilliant too with a wide variety of acts. We came here for my grandad’s 80th birthday and we will certainly never forget the wonderful time we had.

Me & the family stayed for 5 days. Some staff are nice & friendly but others where abit miserable. Loved the rooms. I stayed a double room. Entertainment was really good. Food was nice ( always found something & lots of choose from). Definitely stay there again. One negative for me. We hired a pram off the man who hires out & because we where told by the front desk 7.00pm & we was abit late due to taking the kids for food at 6.30. He had a massive go at me & he was extremely rude. He needs sacking if he acts like that. There was no need to shut at me but apart from that we loved the hotel

I am so sorry to have to do this review but it needs saying |We have been going to rio.park for over 20 years and had fabulous experience back to the days of the old manager Jose we have noticed over the past couple of years the quality of the food has been getting worse |This year however we were so disappointed on arriving we had to wait 2 hrs for our room|The emptying and resetting of the dining room was poor as we were walking looking for a table all of which were still full of food from previous people|And the choice, quality,and temperature of the food was very very poor this year infact we ate out on many occasions |However the Bar,clenliness of rooms,reception,and all other facilities are still all fine|I have recommended you to all my friends and family over the years and they agreed that it was a fantastic hotel|Now I feel I cannot recommend any more |Infact we are going to try another hotel next year|Come on Rio.park get your act together and sort it out |Please!!!!!!!!!!!

If you don't get down to pool area before 9am!! You don't get a sunbed never mind parasol. There should be extra sun beds provided by the hotel as the usual idiots queuing up at stupid o'clock get there first and none left!!! On a positive note food was good plenty of variety and freshly replenished and hotel very clea.
