I've stayed at this hotel many times and will do so again, however it could be so much better with a few minor improvements. The rooms are small but totally adequate and kept clean. The bathrooms are large with a nice shower but the floor is slippy when wet a grab rail in the shower would be very useful for elderly or disabled people. The bar is large and busy, bar prices are fair and the staff are lovely. The dining room is big and noisy but even though it is downstairs it is light and airy. The food varies from just about acceptable to really nice. This is not a hotel for a quiet leasurly meal. The staff are great, the management less so. The two managers I have had dealings with have a wonderful line in patronising difference. Location is fine close enough to the beach but far enough away from the noisy area. This could be a super hotel with tiny changes.

I was really looking forward to this trip as my family had recommended this hotel in the past. Said the food was amazing. The last time they were here was over 1 year ago. I’m not sure what has happened since then but I was disappointed. |The food is disgusting. Same food every night. no taste. Pasta watery . Risotto no taste. |The aircon is only on from 5pm-1pm . |But the staff are absolutely lovely they made the holiday with their friendliness.

Staying at the hotel just now . The hotel itself is clean but very basic ||Usual things let it down being the pool terrace doesn't open till 9am so if u are up early and want to sit outside it is not possible as they wont open doors due to sunbed wars . The lifts in the hotel are a nightmare - extremely slow and definitely not enough lifts for the amount of ppl , ||Biggest let down is the food - we have only been able to eat in the hotel for one dinner - the food is the worst selection i have ever experienced - not even the usual pizza etc that u would expect at a buffet - there are literally 2/3 choices and they are repeated every other night . ||Also we are currently here and it is 27 degrees outside however the hotel has turned off the air conditioning in the rooms - making it almost unbearable to sleep at night spoke to reception and they advised that is onmy between 10pm and 1am and they wont do anything about this automatic schedule - never experienced anything like that in my life ! ||Certainly wont be returning and would not recommended as there are cheaper hotels offering a much better experience !!!

Just left after a 4 night stay, 8 ladies across 3 rooms. Overall we enjoyed our stay but don’t think we would stay here again for several gripes. I’m not sure it’s a 4 star as advertised compared to others I have stayed in. Main gripes were no water with the half board. I’ve stayed half board lots of times other places and water dispensers have always been included for evening meal with other options available to purchase. Had to purchase water at each meal from the bar. Air conditioning was barely working if at all in all rooms and also the clubhouse. Luckily it’s not that warm but in hot weather it will be unbearable. 1 shower tray leaking badly kept flooding the bathroom, had to keep padding it out with towels. Lifts were horrendous, long waits and often full when finally arriving. Sunbeds are awful, so uncomfortable. Sunbeds are never comfortable anywhere really but these are some of the worst. Pool doesn’t open until 10, people there waiting for it to open. Lifeguard was there so why not just open it. Random maintenance could do with attention, broken railings etc taped up with gaffer tape. 1 safe didn’t work despite maintenance man coming out, he couldn’t fix it. Food was nice enough, I’ve had better other places but I’ve also had worse. 1 lady gluten free, food clearly labelled do she could eat. Rooms nice and spacious. All staff friendly and helpful. Hotel entertainment good on an evening. Daily maid service. Fridge in room which is always a bonus, also kettle tea, coffee.

Arrived with TUI, saturday 20th Sept....7 night stay, checking in was a bit of a chore, 2 coach loads, told to leave cases & go for a drink...come back in a couple of hours, which we did. Room a little basic but all clean & tidy, beds fine, fridge & kettle, bit disappointed with 3rd floor view over main entrance rather than pool view but free safe if booked with TUI. Booked H/B, and bought the 3 Euro per person per night drinks package...value for money ( half price offer at check-in ) Found the breakfast & evening meal pretty good, always something decent. bring your mugs down from room, saves queing at coffee machine. Swam most days in the pool even though rather chilly and stayed away from sunbed rush hour until the afternoon always found beds. Rather busy hotel with one or two Chavs, but most people we chatted to were lovely. Drinks, hotel prices but plenty of cheaper bars & offers outside. Entertainment through out the day by the Animation team, and in the two bars in the evening with quite a few good performers...not a lot of dancing though, majority seemed elderly. All in all, give the Rio Park a chance, we did as a couple in our late 50's and really enjoyed ourselves. One grumble, the Lifts can be a pain but it is a large hotel. Almost forgot the staff in all departments were lovely.

Second time at the Rio for us..||We have just come back from an 11 night stay. Two couples and we were given 2 rooms on the 9th Floor||Overall we had a good time. We only ate in one night, but the breakfast on the whole was very good.. Being asked to pay for water at the evening meal isnt on||Our main gripe was the sun beds which were awful and also the smoking / vaping situation||Smoking everywhere, even around the pool and on the sun beds. ||We all enjoyed our time away however so not all bad..||Would we come back ???? Only if they changed the sun bed situation..

The pool opened at 10:00 am on arrival then changed to 11:00am half way through our holiday… no prior warning and with 2 children under 11 not ideal, waiting for the lifeguard until 11:15am to actually open the pool. While to some this may not seem a lot but when you’ve waited all year to then tell your kids you can’t swim until the morning is basically over is Not acceptable

Just returned from a week's holiday here. Food was lovely very good choice and something different every night. The meats were cooked perfect. Kebab night was our favourite 😋. They have a small separate food section for kids which is great. Snack bar had plenty of choice for days around the pool. Pop more expensive than alchol we found vending machines better value. Busy hotel but never felt we had to queue for 2 long. And plenty sunbeds. Lifeguard seen taking off towels for people leaving beds unattended for hours Great entertainment for both kids and adults day and night. We didn't feel we needed to leave hotel due to being plenty to keep the kids busy. The games room is definitely a bonus 👌. Rooms cleaned everyday not enough towels for 4 people had to request more a few times but was always got them straight away. Our only complaint was we had to be moved rooms as 1 part of the group was put into a room for 3 people not 4 although there was 4 on the booking but hotel didnt have our 4th guest on their notes. Got a better room with a fab pool view in the end. 15 mins walk to the beach, supermarkets 2 mins away for snacks drinks ect. We will definitely be returning in the future lovely stay 😊
