Medplaya Hotel Rio Park

Easy fast check in on arrival, room wasn't available until 4pm! The time passed quickly waiting for our room, we enjoyed some lunch in the restaurant and had a couple of drinks in the sun at the poolside terrace. Our room was lovely and clean, bathroom with walk in shower is a bonus as I'm disabled. There was a kettle, fridge, WIfi and a free room safe! The restaurant serves food that is catered to "English" taste. Breakfast is amazing there is a large selection of cereals, yoghurt and the most delicious pastries. The hot section serves every item of a traditional English breakfast and is of good quality! Tea, coffee & juice are provided at breakfast aswell as a selection of bread and a toaster. Lunch and dinner are of equal high standard but drinks are not included with these meals. There is a selection of steak pie, chicken & beef curry, hamburgers etc and one night per week there is a gala dinner. The food here is probably the best I've had in a hotel in Spain! Rooms are cleaned daily and all areas of the hotel are clean. Lifts are not the best and get particularly busy as mealtimes approach. A couple of tweaks with electric sockets in the rooms and balcony rails on the balconies and I would say this hotel could be perfect. Location is good just a short stroll to the promenade and there are plenty of bars just a few minutes walk away from Medplaya Hotel Rio Park. Thankyou for a lovely stay! X

Stayed at rio park this week .Jan 10th .stayed on the 5th floor . Weather was great .hotel was great .lifts took a while to get to the floors but we waited . Was dubious about the food reading past reviews , but we personally never found a problem with any of the. Meals .we went full board and had a fantastic variety on each occasion .staff were great .very clean hotel . Lovely bar round the corner called Tommy's bar .great atmosphere .couldn't fault it .flew back today and booking to go back in the next few weeks.

Just returned from the Rio Park last week. First time stay there although we have been to Benidorm many times, but always more central. Rooms were very clean, cleaned every day with beds made. Food was good, always a good variety, very happy with the meals and we are picky. Only complaint would be that the rooms were cold, and I had to see reception 4 times before it was sorted. Staff were excellent, entertainment was good. Where the hotel is situated is very quiet, which for us mature people is a good thing. Would definitely recommend it to other people.

Stayed a week,back last Tuesday. Booked as very good price for full board. Most of our coach got off so long queue. Emailed ahead requesting very low floor ,got room 108. Room needed some work , tea splashes on wall, bathroom bit dated. However it was clean,beds comfortable. Dont give you partner a good night kiss or they will separate and you end up on the floor! Meals weren't as bad as some reviews suggest. Two types of bacon ,at breakfast, very,very crispy or half done. The meat on the grill was tender, salads nice. I am not one for sweet desserts so stuck to jelly and ice cream. Overall l enjoyed the meals. Drinks reasonable, glass of wine e2.95, cava e3.50. Happy hour,we only caught Mondays ,5 to 6,local drinks. Entertainment,some of the best l have seen, no reptiles, birds or magicians. Good singers, Rock Show great. Greatest Showman amazing. Artist in Sports bar ,11.30, 12 on Sundays, on for 30 mins or so. Only one l didnt like was Saturdays, talked more than he sang! The staff were cheerful, lady in Sports Bar lovely. Girls and guy ,he was also in Sports Bar , great, hard workers. We did go out a couple of evenings to Buddies Bar. Lifts busy,didnt effect us we used the stairs. Nice sun terrace ,had to chase the sun but got bit of a tan. Mornings,evenings, cold, afternoons warm. Only had one cold day, wonderful weather for December. Easy walk to main strip and old town.All in all a good week. Thank you Rio Park.

It was Absolutely faultless hotel for myself and partner! For our first time. The room was clean, hotel modern, up to date all fresh. beds was really comfortable, it was fresh and cleaned every morning, the fridge was a bonus - thank you, we needed it!! we had a kettle, cups, coffee, tea, and biscuits - thank you!, bathroom, shower was perfect, clean and working, also the hairdryer we had all facilities working and no complaints at all!! Fresh towels, It was our first time staying here and in benidorm and I am so glad I picked the Rio Park to stay, staff so friendly and helpful, I just couldn't fault anything, breakfast was just your standard thing lots to pick from, bonus they had all dietary requirements covered nongluten ect, we didn't have evening meal so I can't comment on that, the hotel is fresh looking, very relaxed atmosphere, it was quite, and entertainment in the night - again we didn't see that, the pool is cleaned and you can tell it's well maintained, there is a kids pool, we seen guys cleaning the kids pool every morning/evening. so it's a cheap and cheerful, Bad point is the location for us.. Location is not far from the beach, the market and the strip but it's hard to find without Google maps ha 😁 but I think it was just us, we was drunk and could never find our way back 🤦‍♀️ it was hard to get used to 🙈 but if your want peace and relaxation, clean and happy place not to busy either this hotel Is for you. Another fantastic stay… this time visited with friends who had never stayed before (really liked the hotel) and my eldest daughter.||Our 2nd visit this year. Staff all lovely as always, food was great.||Entertainment was also very good. Needed extra blankets and someone came to deliver these.

in a great location as it’s away from the hustle and bustle but still has a fair few bars in walkable distance. reception and public areas are all nice and bright and everywhere clearly marked (directions to the pool etc) Room was reasonably clean on arrival but just very dated. fridge took ages to get cold (and the dial was going all over the place except for where you want it!) and goes off if you take the card out of the electric to go out. No toilet brush which is quite unhygienic. stainless steel plugs in the bathroom sinks have seen better days and made me feel a bit uneasy when brushing my teeth!! pool didn’t open until 11am which is very late for early risers like myself. sunbeds are old and tired, sagging in the middle etc and don’t have adjustable backs on them so you’re lay pretty much flat which is awkward for reading etc. and the pool area was quite noisy most days. Breakfast was fairly good but no variety so was the same things on the buffet every day. sausages weren’t bad , bacon is smoked local bacon, tinned tomates, baked beans, hash browns, mushrooms and an egg station. Overall we had an enjoyable stay but i think we will choose a different hotel that’s more suited to quiet adults around our age bracket (50’s) next time we go to benidorm.

We went October 7th for a week. When we first got to room had a problem with safe. Went to reception and explained our problem, staff very pleasant and I'd just got back to room and man came and sorted out problem. We then discovered we couldn't lock balcony door, again went to reception and told of problem. Only a matter of minutes before maintenance man came and fixed it. After that no problems food excellent plenty of choice, entertainment was great, cleanliness ideal. Staff really nice Loved our stay. Well worth a visit Thank you
