Our experience at Meru Island was absolutely spectacular. We felt well taken care of at all times. Even though it was supposed to be the rainy season, we had great weather! The villa with a jacuzzi was amazing – it allowed us to enjoy everything at our own pace. Even though we didn’t speak the language, communication was never a problem. The staff always made an effort to understand us perfectly. The waiters were wonderful – especially one lovely waitress from India who was incredibly kind. She definitely earned her tip! Everything at the reception was smooth and well-managed. Overall, it was an experience we would love to repeat. The food was outstanding – truly one of the best chefs we’ve encountered. Highly recommended! 🌺🌺

Meeru Island resort is definitely the best hotel we ever stayed in. It was our first time on Maldives and we experienced it as a little heaven. The resort is located at about 45-60 min on the speedboat from the Male international airport. The staff met us at the airport and we were welcomed with water. Then at the reception we had an amazing welcome from the staff, the check in was automatically made while we enjoyed their welcome cold tea, then on a buggy you can get directly to the bungalow, the suitcases were brought separately from the staff. The bungalow was very cozy decorate in a tropical atmosphere, very clean - they cleaned it twice daily. On the porch we could enjoy the ocean under the umbrella or you could move the other two sun beds into the sun. The water entrance was so calm and beautiful, the water very transparent and a lot of fish, even some small sharks could be seen, but they are not at all aggressive. It was interesting to enjoy the shower outside, there was also a jacuzzi, though we did not use it. On this island there is only one resort and we can really enjoy an intimate atmosphere. There are 2 big restaurants and 4 smaller ones a la carte available with reservation. But for the all inclusive packages everything was included, all restaurants - the food is very tasty and varied - each day different cuisine at the big restaurants, approximatively all drinks - including a selection of cocktails, juices, spirits, wines and also the drinks from the mini bar inside the bungalow which were daily added, also the package includes daily snorkeling to the local reef on a separate boat - you only have to rent the equipment if you do not have your own - but we went also directly in front of our beach - there were also a lot of smaller fishes and young corals, on another part of the beach we also could admire some manta rays. The staff is very friendly and professional and really trying to make your stay unforgettable. They organize the transfer according to your flight timing. On our departure we even had special breakfast at 5:30 in the morning. We also enjoyed the full moon special dinner on the beach with a very romantic atmosphere and wonderful view of the moon. Although we were off season in the second week of June - the weather was perfect - there were just some short tropical rains mostly during the night, in rest lot of sun and very pleasant light wind. All in all we definitely want to come back and we highly recommend this resort to anyone wishing to visit Maldives

Super friendly staff. The resort offers an amazing introduction to the beauty of the maldives. Sharks, Mantas, Colorful Fish, it’s all here. Beautiful beaches. Restaurants are very nice and have good food. Different buffet nights make it interesting. We stayed at the beach villas and water villas. Both rooms had comfortable and great views. Some natural juice and coconut not on the all inclusive which was disappointing, but other than that all good. Good value. The goodbye was not great, old boat back to airport and no trolleys, felt like we were getting kicked off the island. Room for improvement to become where they are projected to. A great nearby Island to Male.

A Dream Vacation at Hotel Meeru We had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel on the stunning island of Meeru– and it was simply perfect! From the moment we arrived, we felt truly welcome. The staff is exceptionally friendly, attentive, and always striving to make the stay as enjoyable as possible. The rooms are not only stylish and modern but also impeccably clean, offering breathtaking views of the sea. The culinary experience was outstanding – from the rich breakfast buffet to exquisite dinners featuring local specialties. We were especially impressed by the freshness of the ingredients and the attention to detail in every dish. The hotel’s location is unbeatable: right by the beach, with crystal-clear water and perfect opportunities to relax or enjoy water sports. The surrounding island is also worth exploring, offering beautiful landscapes and hidden gems. A huge thank you to the entire team for this unforgettable stay. We will definitely be back!

Meeru Island Resort is a beautiful resort, both the natural environment and the tastefully designed buildings that blend in with nature, creating a relaxing and refreshing atmosphere. The Jacuzzi water villas that we stayed in were well-organized and had sufficient facilities. Most importantly, the mini bar in the all-inclusive package was fully stocked with drinks and snacks, including champagne, white wine, red wine, and a capsule coffee machine; the TV in the room had a variety of channels, including Netflix, YouTube, and a movie channel selected by the resort. Enjoy watching. The food was free as a buffet for all three meals, or you could order food and drinks during meals and in the evening for free at the poolside or beachside bar. Enjoy eating and drinking in the all-inclusive package. There were activities to do both on land and in the water. The unmissable thing was snorkeling to see coral and sea fish, whether you were taking a boat to the diving spot or snorkeling on the beach. The white sandy beach, the crystal clear water, and the beautiful aqua marine color were very inviting. The service was excellent, both from the resort, where the receptionists were very welcoming, and from the agent, Por from Maldives Travel Experts, who helped facilitate a smooth trip.

We were guests at the Meeru Maldives Resort Island from 23rd August 2024 to 27th August 2024. We reserved an All Inclusive package in a west (sunset) facing water villa with jacuzzi. There were three of us, my wife, my daughter and me. The reservation process was a little stressful because it seemed almost impossible to receive confirmation that a west facing villa cold be reserved. Nevertheless, the excellent team at Meeru confirmed the reservations three days before we travelled. Summary From the time we landed at the Male airport and walked over to the counter for the Resort, we felt we were taken care of superbly with the boat ride, the incredible resort with fantastic service, extremely friendly and responsive staff, the return trip back to the airport and being accompanied right up to departures. The details Arrival There is a counter near arrivals to meet the team responsible for the boat transfer to Meeru. The staff were clear about wait times and where to wait. We were then accompanied to our speed boat which was very clean, airconditioned, comfortable and had WIFI too. Arriving at the resort, we were met by a very friendly gentleman who gave us a good briefing and then took us to lunch – what an incredible spread that was! Check in was easy and smooth. We were then taken by buggy to our villa. The island is about 1.2 km long by 360 metres wide so there is a buggy service to travel around. Villa The villa was VERY clean and gorgeous. Crystal clear waters right outside the balcony. Definitely comfortable for three people. Fully airconditioned with a minibar that was replenished daily. There is a TV too but who needs TV when you are in the Maldives? Mr. Krushna looked after our room. Extremely polite and very efficient, he made sure we had everything we needed. Restaurants We had most meals at the North restaurant called Maalan. Mr Fahlil, Ms Sunita and Mr Subash made sure we were very well taken care of. This is a buffet restaurant and the menu changes almost daily. In particular, we enjoyed the excellent service and friendliness of Mr Fahlil and Mr Subash. Food was excellent and the menu was very diverse. Snorkeling trip We booked a private snorkeling trip and this was a fantastic one specially due to the very friendly and vey capable Mr Ali who made sure our trip was memorable. Nemo, Dory, tutles, and dolphins. We saw everything. Administration and services I must mentioned Mr Aaish at reception. Extremely friendly and super helpful, he made this trip a truly fun one with great advice and conversations. We enjoyed his company very much. (Aaish, I am still hoping you will get me a job there although I am a little older!) Overall Meeru is a resort where nothing is too much to ask for and staff go out of their way to make sure their guests are happy and satisfied.

This was amazing. Got the over water jacuzzi villa. Stayed for a week. It was amazing. The view only can keep me coming. The only thing they are missing in the room was a pool as they don’t have any private pool villas. Food was an issue for me tho. Also in all inclusive plan they limit you for alcoholic drinks to a local beer and jim beam.

We stayed at Meeru Resort in the Maldives for our honeymoon in January 2025. The food was truly exceptional, and overall we enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. However, a major downside was the complete lack of clarity and privacy regarding the sun loungers on the beach in front of our room. In a five-star resort, we expected them to be reserved for our use, but anyone could take them. One morning, after returning from breakfast, we found our loungers occupied by other guests who brought 4 more and were extremely loud. We asked the staff for help, but no one offered a clear policy or resolution—some said the loungers were personal, others said they were first-come, first-served. In the end, we felt uncomfortable and unwelcome in front of our own room. This lack of consistency and support was really disappointing, especially for a honeymoon trip. We felt exposed, as we had no way to protect our privacy or relax in front of our room. For a honeymoon, this lack of privacy and resolution was especially frustrating. It’s a pity, because the resort has many great qualities, but this experience left us with a bitter aftertaste.
