We had a wonderful time at Meet the Maker! The studio is so quaint and perfect for an arts & crafts day. The wheel area can accommodate small groups of 3-4. I did a one and done, 1.5 hour session with my parents and we all enjoyed our time! The session really is like a class where you learn tips and tricks for working at the wheel! We absolutely plan on coming back back!

I’m not one to leave a negative review, especially for a small business but I feel other moms deserve to be warned. I’ve dealt with months of heartbreak watching my children process the loss of their pottery pieces their first-ever creations on a pottery wheel. I took my son here for his birthday in May, and we were both so excited. Unfortunately, we never received a call that our pieces were ready for pickup. After multiple calls, messages, and texts with no response, we finally showed up in person, only to spend over 30 minutes searching while several of our pieces couldn’t be found. This experience meant so much to my son. He talked about it for months leading up to his birthday, and I can’t express how disappointing it’s been to see that excitement turn into sadness. This was supposed to be a cherished memory... instead, it’s been an ongoing lesson in disappointment. I truly hope this business improves its communication and organization so no other family has to go through this.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND Two of us made lovely items and Meet the Maker “lost” them and offered no explanation, apology or recompense. Then another friend went and her pieces were also “ lost”, with no apologies. This is NOT the way to run a business.

Could not recommend this place enough- Michelle and Bella are wonderful teachers and my class with them felt like hanging out with friends. Amazing studio and wonderful place to learn a new skill. I can’t wait to go back!

Had an amazing time here working at the hand building table! The environment is so nice and perfect for creating. You get so much clay and tools to work with, at a great price point. And Michelle is so sweet and welcoming! Totally recommend visiting for a very relaxing and creative time!

Amazing experience! Loved the atmosphere here, so bright and inspirational. My session was so enjoyable! The owner was very helpful and kind. I started with some hand building then tried the wheel a bit. There is so much more to pottery than just painting it! It's very relaxing. Give it try even if you don't think you will be good at it, you won't regret coming here!

Such a wonderful experience! If you’re looking for something personal and non-intimidating I couldn’t recommend anywhere else. Great for beginners or people looking for a more intimate and comfortable experience and such a fun afternoon. Our instructors were so kind and made it so much fun. Great prices too!! 10/10

Yelp
Visited Meet the Maker shop for a Sip-n-Ceramics workshop in July. It was $25 per person with beverages provided. It was so fun meeting Michelle, she's so happy to share and teach others, it really made the whole experience that much better. It's definitely a beginners space and the class was lacking some guidance/direction. We were allowed to make as much as we wanted and play around with whatever ideas we had. Four weeks later we picks up our finished products! Everything was glazed and looked so great! Overall, this class was silly and fun and would definitely go back again!

Yelp
Michelle is so friendly, patient, and helpful. It's a one of a kind place in Lodi where you can learn a new skill in a small, casual, and intimate environment. We did the hand table, and there was a generous amount of clay to make multiple small pieces. The fee for hand table includes glazing too.

Yelp
I went with my 5 year old who was able to design a cup with minimum help from me and Michelle . The owner was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back here to take a wheel spinning class

Yelp
Ok, I can't believe there's only 2 reviews. This place is great. I booked a One and Done wheel session with a friend and Michelle was so kind, helpful, and great at explaining everything while also leaving a lot of room for creativity. Not to mention, sessions are really affordable for what you get. I'll definitely be coming back. Oh, I also bought a beautiful small cup handmade by Michelle for only $10 that would normally go for AT LEAST $25.

Yelp
Really nice studio with lots of locally made items. I did not try making ceramics but plan to soon!
