It’s happen to be one of my recommended place for Magret de Canard menu, worth to pay for and worth to wait for, flawless cook with good temperature controlled, this is the medium-rare duck breast cooked I’m looking for.

If you're a true meat lover, "Meet the Meat" is an absolute must-visit. Our recent dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. We indulged in the largest entrecôtes available, and they were a testament to the restaurant's dedication to quality. Perfectly cooked to our preference, the steaks were incredibly tasty and tender, melting effortlessly with every bite. What truly elevated the meal was their unbeatable green pepper sauce. Rich, flavorful, and with just the right kick, it perfectly complemented the succulent meat, enhancing its natural flavors without overpowering them. The ambiance was welcoming, and the service impeccable, rounding off a perfect dining experience. If you're looking to savor top-tier steaks with a sauce that will leave you craving more, "Meet the Meat" is the place to be. Highly recommended for all steak enthusiasts!

We tried to find the place with French restaurant and every restaurants were closed, but we saw that place and visited when we were walking I prefer to eat meat and it was good place for this, there you can find a lot of dishes with meat and I choose beauf and potatoes with a CHEESE OMG,iT WAS AWESOME. btw there was a wonderful dressing for the food when we were seated in a convenient place for the table and I saw a beautiful kiss between the waiter and his partner, God, the food became even tastier after that;) and I remember funny situations when we finished eating and tried to pay, they gave us the drink and I asked “is it without alcohol?” And the said yes,I tested and almost died HAHA,because there was alcohol and waiter didn’t understood right;) ahaha, but nothing! It was funny and my evening was awesome, thanks for that experience! I recommend this if you wanna be in funny and delicious(especially for meat lovers)))

It's a great place to try the typical duck here in Toulouse. The menu is highly recommended for the nice quality of the food and the fair price. Waiters are kind in general, with a few exceptions.

Was recommended to eat here by the pub next door, Melting Pot(?). A great recommendation, the steaks and duck were exceptional, and the dauphinois potatoes were the best we’ve eaten anywhere. The prices are extremely reasonable, with fast service. We were in town for a rugby match and ended up eating here 3 nights in a row! Highly recommended!

I chose salad with duck meat for starters and it was light and delicious. Heavenly duck and potato gratin for main. I didn't know what sauce to choose, my dish came with the black pepper sauce and it was delicious. The house aperitif was a nice touch to finish this lunch.

Service: great, attentive service. Most speak some broken English, enough for a tourist to get through. Food: amazing! Huge portion sizes, the price is so cheap for what you get. Our table all ordered duck fillet with potato bake side (which is gluten free by the way). Comes with a starter salad. Food could not have been cooked any better. We couldn’t fit in dessert, but they gave us a baileys shot to finish the night (everyone got one by the looks of it). Don’t hesitate to come here. Full of locals loving life and food.

Yelp
Super busy but an attentive server. The food choise chage daily and you can go wrong just pointing to anything on the menu if you don't understand French, it's all delicious and plentiful. Wine by the glass was only 4 euros. A very loud local lunch crowd, exactly what I was hoping for.

Yelp
Highly recommend. All the food was amazing! The duck though, wow!!! You have to try the duck. Had a good menu and my baby love their food as well.

Yelp
Friendly! Affordable! And so so good! I was very impressed with the fast friendly service and the high quality of the food that was prepared exactly how I asked.

Yelp
The food was very delicious. The staffs were friendly, patient, helpful. The restaurant was getting full when I got there but the staff quickly got me seated. They were really busy and were quick. The restaurant has first floor and basement. The atmosphere was pretty good with some upbeat music. I had a great experience, would recommend and would return.

Yelp
We stopped here for a quick light lunch after seeing a late morning movie. Nice, pleasant lunch at a reasonable price. It was a beautiful day so we were able to sit outside. The place was busy with both locals and tourists. Our waiter was attentive and friendly, who walked me through the menu to address my allergies. We each had the prix fixe lunch special. My husband had the duck salad and I had the tartare. Both were good. We also had desserts (both had mousse), which was good. A good place to go if you are in the area.

Yelp
Excellent experience. The food was exceptional, the au gratin potatoes were especially good. The price was surprisingly low. 4 dinners and 1 bottle of wine was only 110 Euros. Vegetarians would hate this place though. They have steak or duck- that's pretty much it. For carnivores though, it's wonderful. They were extremely busy and many people were turned away without having reservations. We arrived right when it opened at 7:00pn and they squeezed us in, so you may need to do the same if you don't have a reservation. Our waitress was very fluent in English and translated the menu perfectly for us. Overall, an excellent dining experience.

Yelp
Food: The duck was really good! Make sure you get it "bien cui" (well done) just like the rest of your meat in France, otherwise it might come out with feathers attached. The scalloped potatoes were also awesome, I am positive that they stuck some type of illegal drugs in the recipe because I could have eaten a tray of them! Awesome sauce as well, "Roquefort" or something...? Delicious! Service: The lady who attended our table was nice and she spoke English. It was getting a little busy, so she was getting pulled in lots of directions. Show up before 8pm... Atmosphere: It is a classic French feel inside. A little dark, but quaint. No complaints, did not have to use the restroom so I am not sure if it is clean or not... Price: Not expensive, about 25 Euro for a full meal, drink and coffee. Overall: I will definitely make this place one of my go to spots when I visit Toulouse. I love that the menu is short, you don't get a TON of choices. So if you don't like duck, potatoes or salad, you are hosed.

Yelp
Visited this place during business trip in early Nov 2017. We ordered beefsteaks assuming familiar taste of US. It came with fuagra on top. The taste was really great. We all agreed we should come back. At the end, there was a small delightful surprise, a complementary dessert. It was a three layered sweet shot. It had rum, coffee, and then sweet cream from bottom to top. It was a real nice surprise. We all loved it.

Yelp
Good food. Staff was good with trying to speak English with me. I like the assortment of food available.

Yelp
Staff were extremely friendly and efficient, waitress even had an aperitif with us after the meal. The plates are simple and effective - high quality meat and the best dauphinois potatoes ever! Good wine, good atmosphere. Thoroughly enjoyed this place!

Yelp
Ate here with a group and loved it - one of our favorite meals in France on our 9 day trip!! Reservations are recommended. One of our party spoke French thankfully which helped with reservation making and checking in, otherwise I'd use a translator app. For ordering, pointing on menu worked fine :-) Everything our group ordered was a hit. The duck - heavenly!!! We ate indoors which I'd recommend if you are bothered by the cigarette smoke that is common in outdoor dining in Europe.

Yelp
I should have written this review a long time ago. During one of my past business trips, a coworker of mine grabbed a business card of this place from one of those restaurant business card racks in the hotel lobby. Frankly, the name caught his attention. Some minds wander in the gutter - but I can tell you friends of brass pipework installation and related crafts will be disappointed. However - those who are looking for a delicious meal will be delighted. I can say I tried the entire menu. It is all delicious. My personal favorite is to Start with the Salade de Gésieres de Canard (yup, you are guessing correctly. If that does not float your boat, or feel sorry for the Duck, try the ravioli salad or the salad with Roquefort), then the Pavé de Bœuf façon Rossini (Steak with Shallot Sauce and foie gras on top), and for dessert the Mousse de Caramel WITH ARMAGNAC. Yummy. Yummy. Yummy. Yesterday I had the excellent Pavé de Bœuf with Maître d'Hôtel Butter. Highly recommended as well. The ambiance of the place is, I would say, neat-casual. Small tables, somewhat dimly lit. Interesting selection of music. The staff is always very friendly and sociable - they are also very attentive and make sure you have a good dining experience. As with many restaurants in this area, it is highly recommended to make a reservation. Recently, we could not get in until 10 pm. Oh well. It was worth the wait. Good thing there is a pub 50 meters down the street. "Meet the Meat" has truly become one of my Toulouse Landmarks. I have to stop myself from going there too frequently. Edit: This restaurant truly deserves the four stars. Five stars is exceptional only. And they are close. Very. In comparison, Restaurant l'Entrecôte across the street, may show more stars in here, but is, in my opinion, strongly overrated. I'll post a review on it when I can. If you're unsure where to go, go to MTM.

Yelp
Service is rather slow at lunch time, menu is a bit interesting. With different selections of meat, just like the name.

Yelp
They fit us in without reservation and gave us free aperitifs. Great food. Go with the au gratin potatoes

Lars D.

Yelp
Ok steaks, fairly cheap, the gratinated potatoes lacked taste. All in all an ok place to eat

Yelp
One of the best steaks that I have had in Toulouse. The onion sauce is particularly good and the Gratin Dauphinois (Potatoes au Gratin) is amazing. Everyone we have talked to in the staff has always been extraordinary friendly and helpful.

Yelp
Excellent food and very kind people! We loved it!!! The meat is fantastic! We have asked for the ravioli salad as starter (veeery tasty) and then beef and lamb (delicious).

Yelp
Went here with a customer who is located in Toulouse. The steak was good, but it was a bit hyped before we arrived. The dinner was nice, steak with foie gras and a side of potatoes. Dessert was fantastic.
