Where to Drink Guinness in Central Florida This Holiday Season | Eater

"Downtown Melbourne is a sneaky good time, where a few blocks of bars and restaurants abut a bustling arts district. Ground zero for downtown nightlife is Meg O’Malley’s, a classic Irish pub popular for after-work drinks and the occasional live band. Stop in for a Guinness this holiday season and see why the bar’s developed such a massive roster of long-time regulars. Then take your holiday cheer and explore the rest of what downtown Melbourne has to offer, like the popular holiday market or Christmas in the Park program." - Matthew Meltzer

First time here and I would have to say it was one of the best Irish puns I have been to in Florida. I sat at the bar and the bartender right away was awesome. On top of getting me my drinks and getting the TV changed. The food was excellent and I thought it was very close to being back in Ireland. Definitely recommend and will go back.

Went on a Monday night, it was very quiet and enjoyable. My waitress Monica was very helpful with some great recommendations! The onion soup was fantastic, if you enjoy french onion soup it’s a must try. The chicken pot pie was good, I added the mac and cheese on top but that kind of took away from the pot pie. Overall great casual restaurant for dinner.

Stepping into this charming restaurant transports you to a lively Irish haven, where the warm ambiance of a traditional pub blends seamlessly with homely comfort. The decor is tastefully executed, reflecting subtle Irish influences that set a refined yet relaxed tone for the evening. I also noticed a couple of well-behaved service dogs calmly entering—a thoughtful inclusion that underscores the restaurant’s welcoming policy toward service animals. I was served by Sierra, and she was courteous and helpful when I was going over the menu. I began with a refreshing Strawberry Lemonade, presented in a chic round glass with ripe strawberry parts that enhanced its perfectly balanced flavor. The main event was a stunning Crab & Shrimp Cake Sandwich. Generously filled with tender shrimp, delicate crab, and caramelized onions, all nestled between fresh, soft buns, each bite offered a mixture of delightful flavors. To conclude, I indulged in M.O.M.'s Bread Pudding, and I drizzled it with Irish Whiskey Cream and raspberry sauce, a warm dessert that elegantly rounded off an unforgettable meal. Each dish reflects truly refined culinary artistry, leaving an indelible impression of warm hospitality.

We love Meg’s. It is always busy here, but the environment feels authentic. The food is delicious and consistent. We have been coming here for over two decades and only had one “meal issue” that was fixed immediately. The Guinness gravy is perfectly seasoned here, not too salty. The parliament soup is a must with a cold Irish beer to start. Service is always on point. Just know you will have to wait for a table each time but it is worth it.

Lately, I rarely give a full 5-star rating, but this time I have no hesitation. Definitely a great find! There’s a wide selection of draft beers, including the classic Guinness. The portions were generous and absolutely delicious. Service was quick and friendly, always with a smile. Don’t miss the pork ribs – they’re a must-try!

I loved everything about this restaurant! The food was incredible, the server was amazing and very knowledgeable about the menu, the booths were comfortable, and even the bathrooms were really nice. 5 stars all around, if I didn't live 1000 miles away I would go here all the time!

Killer food and awesome vibe definitely see why this is a local favorite! I dont drink so cant rate the bar but the resturant was surprisingly amazing! really good food and a bit pricey but definitely worth it for quality. The baby back ribs are the best ive ever tried with an amazing sauce and the chicken tenders were insanely good with their honey mustard and BBQ sauce. (the plate in the picture was their July 4th special at $19.99)

One of the better (of the many) Irish pubs on the Space Coast. Decent HH with drink and food specials (the pretzels are very good), great staff (shout-out to Jordyn), and a fun almost-in-Ireland vibe. Definitely worth a stop while in DT Melbourne!
