My fiance and I did the 9 Day Taiga Tsaatan Adventure tour with Meg adventures. This experience was one of the best we've ever done, and I'm so grateful we did this. ||Before we booked our tour, Meg (the company owner) met with us and clearly and thoroughly described different tour options for us, even building a custom tour route, and helped us pick the right tour for us. When meeting with Meg, it felt like we were spending time with a long-time friend, she just made us feel comfortable and at ease.||Our tour guide Bujin (goes by Bunny) was awesome, our driver Jagga always made us smile, our horseman Chongor taught us Mongolian card games and showed us all the customs of the countryside :), the reindeer were unlike anything we had ever seen before, and being on boat on the lake was such a beautiful day. ||Seeing the reindeer and the nomadic families who herd them was truly the highlight of the trip. We watched the families milk them, we watched the reindeer trot the open forest lands to eat, and watched the reindeer sleep.||Our tour guide Bujin (goes by Bunny) was the one of the best guides we've ever had. She always was positive. She knew the answer to every question we had, and continued to teach us little cultural traditions along the way. She was a wonderful chef and accommodated for dietary restrictions we had. We booked two other tours in Mongolia with other companies, and did not have even remotely close to the same experience. I don't know how we were so lucky to have such a wonderful experience with Bunny! She truly made this trip a one-of-a-kind experience for us.||I would definitely recommend Meg's tours to a friend, and I hope one day we can return to Mongolia and reconnect with these lovely friends we made along the way.||For anyone reading this regardless whether you book with Meg or not, we had really positive experiences trying to learn a few words of the local language and doing our absolutely best to speak with and spend time with the countryside folks of Mongolia. They are gentle, kind, and funny, and just are inspirations for hardwork.

Took a Great trip with Megs Guesthouse & Tours|It was 4 friends driving in a comfortable Toyota Cruiser for 2 weeks to Central Mongolia & Gobi.Desert|Oh Wait !!!!|It was actually a friend and myself|But |After a short amount of time with our Wonderful Guide (Bunny) & Cool Driver (Otgot) |It sure felt like 4 friends cruising thru the wonderful sights of Mongolia| The country , the sights & people are Magnificent|But , having not only a well informed and very professional guide like Bunny only enhanced the experience| I won’t go on about how enjoyable she was to have as our Guide| Instead I’ll just encourage you to book a Trip with Meg’s Adventure Tours and experience Mongolia yourself with Bunny as your Guide

We did the 14 Day Central Mongolia + Gobi tour. Bunny was our guide and Otgoo the driver. They were amazing! Lots of off road driving, hiking, feeling the vastness of the Steppe. It was a real adventure. Highly Recommend Meg’s Adventure Tour!

Meg and her team arranged a customized 9d Central mongolia tour for us. First we met at the tour office to ask any questions we had. Our guide Sagua was very skilled and brought us to the places, introduced us to nomad families...e.g. we drank airag (fermented horse milk) with them, slept in gers and learned about the nomad's daily life. Sagua speaks English very well and we quickly became friends. It was no problem to eat vegetarian, he cooked vegetarian meals for us. If you like horses and are in good fitness to stay in the saddle for 2-5 hours, don't miss the horse riding. You will experience the amazing landscape in a special way! We trekked during 4 days by horse to the remote Naiman Nuur lakes in the mountains and back. We were accompanied by experienced horse men. Keep in mind, you need to actively interact with your horse. We also had the chance to visit a local Naadam festival, where we followed the wrestling competition. ||We had an forgettable adventure! Besides of the tour, we also had a very pleasant stay at the guesthouse.

Meg responded to our initial inquiries promptly, which was a plus for us, as we did not find that with other organizations we contacted. She worked with our tight schedule to accommodate our siteseeing wishes, and everything was well organized and delivered as promised. We stayed in an apartment provided by Meg near the State Store, which may not be a usual overnight offering, so I'll not review it other than to say it was beautiful. Meg arranged transport for us to and from airport, and it was seamless. She picked the perfect team for us. Bunny greeted us on arrival, and saw us off on the last day. Augie, a driver for 25 years is a legend among drivers! He had friends everywhere! We had total confidence in him, and his Russian-made (quite comfortable) vehicle, during 7 days of rough, mostly off-road terrain. (And, he has a great sense of humor!) Our guide, Sagua, was so knowledgeable about history, culture, and nomadic life. He connected with us parents, and with our adventure-loving 20-something children. He offered just the right amount of information, and guidance for us so we followed traditions without insulting our hosts. We stayed in a variety of gers - some were "camps" with multiple gers and some were an extra ger next to the owner's. Meg provided us with clean sleeping bags and although we did not use them, the driver had camp pads stowed in the van. See some other reviews on this thread for some valuable travel tips. We particularly appreciated that Meg's organization is trying to be eco-friendly, as exemplified by our personalized water bottles that were refilled as needed from a large carboy. Travel in Mongolia is not easy for Westerners, but is is fascinating and wonderful. I can say we never had to make a single decision from the time we left the airport until our dropoff once again on departure, and were delighted with our trip.

4 of us (mid 60s and above) booked meg’s 18 day tour of the Gobi and Central and North Mongolia. It was exhilarating, 3300km, mainly off road in a Russian UAZ van. Our guide oyona catered for us brilliantly - including for one vegetarian. Oggi our driver was also excellent. 2 warnings: firstly, allow at least 48 hours if you are flying into UB long haul to acclimatise. Secondly - the beds in gers are mostly really uncomfortable; consider bringing a blow up mattress lilo-style. Toilets can be dire, too (but not all). ||We stayed in meg’s Apartment in UB - absolutely excellent, central and good value.

I checked in to stay for 3 days and 2 nights post horse riding accident. I left camp from the countryside hoping to seek a cozy warm place to rest and Megs was everything I wanted: simple but warm blankets to warm me at night, a nice clean toilet/shower room, laundry, cozy couch space with kitchen access and make your own breakfast (eggs, sausage, milk, toast, butter, jam, coffee, tea), and all this quiet space even next to the chaotic state department store.|To top it all off, Bunny and Soko were consistently so helpful, warm and friendly, and helped me healing process, both mentally and physically. The courtesy and warmth from Bunny meant a lot. She invited me to eat her home made seaweed, chicken soup with delicious sweet and spiced fried kimchi to go with a bowl of rice. After we hung out with her and her friends at a cafe nearby. It was my last moments before I took the guesthouse taxi to the airport.||Thank you so much for the exceptional guesthouse and for your professional and friendly services. I felt like I was in the hospitality of friends. ||Thanks for caring a bout me.||See you again my friends.

Very well organized and professional! We had a great time in the Gobi desert as well as in the Kovsgol Lake! Beautiful landscapes, beautiful people, driver and guide very caring and funny. If you have the chance to do the tour with Bunny, one of the guide, she is the best and will make your trip memorable! We won’t forget about her!
