50 Best Restaurants in India, From Kasauli to Kolkata | Condé Nast Traveler

"Megu at The Leela Palace has been Delhi’s polished Japanese address since 2012: fish flown from Tokyo twice weekly for nigiri and sashimi, indulgent plates like salmon tartare with ikura and caviar, silver cod with yuzu miso, a 24-hour braised pork belly and playful desserts (wasabi cheesecake, yuzu-lemon curd tart) paired with an encyclopedic sake list." - Karina Acharya

I just had Sushi and a bowl of udon noodles with added prawns. Nothing was bad but it was all very very average. Noodles were saucy, the prawns were absolutely bland, the vegetables used in the noodles were very cheap and basic, the kind you would get at a street food vendor. Pricing is nominal. Service is again very basic. All in all, I am pretty disappointed, you don’t expect such a bland and basic experience at Leela! The lady at the desk who took my reservation was extremely kind and accommodating though, she deserves some appreciation!

Excessively Priced!! Not an authentic Japanese restaurant, they serve fusion food. The udon noodles tastes more like an Indian Chinese dish. The grilled prawns consists of just 3 pcs of prawns split open and served shelled with some seasoning. They have lot of vegetarian options and some selected non vegetarian food. The dishes are priced very high and the portions meagre (we left feeling hungry !!).

Authentic Japanese doesn't get better than this. Inside the Leela ,the place oozes of japanese autheticity from moment you walk in. The glass budha statue right in the middle of the dinning area the place adds a soothing touch to whole experience. With alcohol from all parts of japan and world there something for everyone. We started with Tuna Tataki as cold appetizers and Megu's Shrimpop as hot appetizers. Tuna tataki was amazing the shrimpop were just ok. Next on the table prawn nilgiri sushi roll, it was one of the best we ever had, in mains we ordered Grilled Prawn and grilled baby chicken. chicken we found to be on the sweeter end of the spectrum. The highlight of the day was the Azuki Almond crumble tart, just amazing and should never be missed A definite recommendation for japanese/Asian fine dine for your special occasions.

We ordered 4 items out of which only yellowtail sushi roll was fine. Their salmon grilled which cost 2.7 k comes with just a tiny 4 piece and it was stale one. Once we cut it open, we can get that strong rotten smell. Their chicken yakitori is just a tiny 6 piece of normal fried chicken which we can get anywhere. Their chicken fried rice is a burnt rice which was very bitter when eat. The ambience and service is good. But i dont recommend to anyone. Im wondering how come they receive many awards. Must involve some politics maybe or paying people to vote for them. All the dishes they serve have no specialty. Just normal dish you can get evrywhere in delhi. And yeah you wont get full after you spend 6.5 k also because its very tiny amount of wahtever they serve. So think it nicely

Great atmosphere, food and service. Authentic asian cuisine served beautifully. The ambience and the food are impressive. The price range is on the expensive side but it's an experience.

the person serving us had terrible BO. He took hours trying to get us a paper napkin when we requested for one. They seated us at the smallest table in an almost empty restaurant & as a consequence there was hardly any place to keep our food. They spilled soy sauce while placing the food & never bothered to wipe it. The food taste & presentation wasn’t anything great - basic average ingredients and presentation. The drink I ordered also seemed like a half-hearted attempt at bar skills. Overall quite an underwhelming experience 10th April: We got a call from the hotel and were invited again and definitely this was a much-much better experience with really good food - the kind we’d expect of a Japanese restaurant. The service was great too.
