Mehrangarh Fort

Mehrangarh Fort is a magnificent historical place where every wall and corner tells a story of royal bravery and heritage. It is a must-visit when in Jodhpur. Plan enough time to explore the fort and learn about its rich history and culture. The fort also offers stunning views of the city from different points, perfect for photography. There are a few cafés and restaurants inside the fort as well, with good food though slightly upscale. A truly memorable place to visit.

The panoramic view of the blue-painted houses from the fort was truly mesmerizing. Very well maintained fort with all amenities like lift, wash room,water etc. Ticket prices are 200 rs and for senior citizens it is 100 rs only. Lift charges are only rs 50/-. Guide rates are fixed by trust authority, advisable to have guide for better knowledge of fort.One of the best maintained fort of world. Ample parking space, better to visit in morning hours as it's open 9 am . Winter is the best season for Visit. Jodhpur is very well connected through road , rail and Air world wide.

Historic place. Awesome atmosphere. Must visit place. Ticket price is reasonable. Much to learn. Preferable to take a local but licensed guide for better understanding of the place. Much to explore, gain knowledge. Architecture and sculpture at its peak. Cleanliness and hygiene properly maintained. Recommended to take lift service at bear minimum price to reach 12th floor and coming down by yourself while enjoying and learning the place. Staff behaviour is decent. Ambience is top notch. Well maintained. Paid parking. Must recommended. Beware of fraudsters.

Mehrangarh Fort is one of the largest and most magnificent forts in Jodhpur. It was built in 1459 by Rao Jodha on a high rocky hill overlooking the Blue City. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Mehrangarh Fort is a must-visit in Jodhpur! The massive structure, detailed architecture, and panoramic view of the Blue City from the top are absolutely stunning. The museum inside is well-maintained and gives a great glimpse into Rajasthan’s royal history. Plan at least 2–3 hours to explore comfortably. Best time to visit is early morning or evening to avoid the heat. Totally worth it for history lovers and photography enthusiasts.

A pink sandstone fort with many amazing architectural features. Maintained well. There is a lift so makes it easier for many visitors. Unfortunately it's not free. The entry ticket for foreigners is rather a lot. The wait for the lift was 45 minutes. Good views of the city but it is no longer all blue. A few old buildings are still blue. I wouldn't call it a blue city.

One of the most impressive forts I’ve ever visited! The scale of Mehrangarh Fort is mind blowing. huge gates, massive walls, and beautiful courtyards. The view from the top overlooking the Blue City of Jodhpur is absolutely stunning 💙 It feels like the entire city is painted blue beneath you. Truly a royal experience!

Beautiful. Well maintained. Clean. Good diaplay but everything is underlit, in dark completely dependent upon filtered glare from the Sun. Time -9 AM to 5 PM. Best time may be evening (I visited in the morning). Water coolers available inside. Better have audio facility Required Duration - 3 hours total. Staff - Good.
