Wonderful wee museum that showcases the range of Pictish stones found in the area. The Historic Scotland guide was very good walking us through the museum and explaining how much of the imagery is open to interpretation. I do feel that the entrance fee is a bit steep for the size of the collection. However, if you’re interested in Pictish history, this is a must-visit.

A really nice collection of ancient Pictish stones, which was well introduced by the Historic Scotland employee Liam. Very interesting imagery and a real sense of mystery tied to much of it, how you interpret the symbols is up to you. Was good to see the local history in such a well put out fashion. Only slight irritance was the price, seemed a bit steep for the size of the collection. Still, highly recommended for a visit if you love history.

This is the second time I've been here. Great collection of pictish stone carvings, mostly from the post-christianisation of the picts. Very knowledgeable staff member and good collection of resource books to buy. The nearby joinery cafe is well worth a visit . Great food. Coffee and wide menu including gluten free options. Check the opening days times before going!

Well preserved carved stones with information. Helpful staff member. Only a small place but interesting for half an hour or so.

Wasn't opened unfortunately but had a wee wander around the adjacent church and burial ground. Plenty of momento mori and headstones dating back to the 1600s.

A great collection of Pictish stones and good staff. Could do with more text about all the exhibits as some are not labelled nor on the info sheet. A more comprehensive info sheet would also be nice. Relative to other attractions it's quite expensive. Nice wee gift shop.

Great to be able to see Pictish stones up close and feel the artists' work. Very knowledgeable Historic Scotland lady who brought it alive. This is a very small museum so don't expect to spend long, but worthwhile if you're interested.
