Lovely people here, we came about a year ago and the man still remembers us. Was very nice food would recommend the pastilla it was amazing and the tagines are so soft and silky. Definitely will come back.

We shared some plates together and the aubergine was amazing. I personally loved the mint tea too. Very cosy restaurant with friendly staff.

The food was excellent and also quite quick. We had the two course lunch. The tagine was a very generous portion and tasty- tender chicken and lamb. There was also enough choice for vegetarians. Desert was very moist - chocolate cake and the ice cream. But, the highlight was the service - attentive, kind and with a smile :)

What a great place to eat. Very friendly staff and excellent food. We had soup and then five of the smaller plates. Great choice for vegetarians and vegans. Finished with baklawa and mint tea. Wonderful.

We had Moroccan food few years back, it was amazing and on a special occasion we wanted to try again at an authentic Moroccan restaurant. We were looking for nearby restaurants and this was the highest rated Moroccan restaurant at various websites. We went there for dinner. It’s not a fine dining experience, but food was good. We tried three different mains. Although I am not an expert in Moroccan food, I found previous experience was better. This time we felt taste was more soupy. Plenty of seating area and mostly were empty. Even outdoor seating available if not cold outside. Parking available roadside - after 6 it’s free, but limited availability. Alternatively Victoria street car parking lot is also nearby. Staffs were friendly and served quite quickly.

We decided to try something different and truly enjoyed! We had the lamb shank tagine and the meimo brochette. All meats were so tender and tasty. Because everything was so good we HAD to have dessert and we were not disappointed! The service was great, very attentive without being intrusive. Definitely going back!!

Stepping into this Moroccan gem feels like being transported to a vibrant, aromatic bazaar. The highlight of our culinary journey was undoubtedly the **chicken and lamb shank tagine**. Each bite was a revelation of flavors so profound. It was our best tagine ever. The meat, tender and succulent, fell off the bone, melding perfectly with the rich, spiced sauce that's clearly been simmering to perfection. The dessert options were portioned right and refreshing. Mint tea was a great way to end our meal. The service matched the excellence of the food. The staff were not just great; they were exceptional. Attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable without being pretentious, they navigated the evening with a grace that only added to the overall experience. In a world where dining out can be hit or miss, this restaurant is a definite hit, a place where the warmth of the welcome is only surpassed by the quality of the food. A must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic Moroccan feast even catering to gluten free and dairy free options. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Yelp
Delicious authentic Moroccan food. Highly recommend the chicken tagine, which was so, so tasty and comforting. We also ordered a number of starters, of which my favorite was this potato tomato dish. Calamari and shrimp tasted fresh as well, all the flavors were on point. Great choice if you're visiting Windsor.

Yelp
My family and I visited the UK for 2 weeks in Aug 2024. We spent the last 3 days of our trip in Windsor. Out of our entire trip, this was the meal that I enjoyed the most. It was a spur of the moment decision to catch a late lunch at Meimo but it ended up being my favorite dining experience. The menu was wonderful and creative, the ambiance and decor was classic and inviting, the service was incredible, and the food was absolutely divine! We ordered small plates so that we could sample a wider variety. All of the dishes were devoured with haste and satisfaction. The serving sizes were appropriate and the cost was quite fair. I only wish they had more locations!

Yelp
Delicious food and delightful experience! My wife and I loved it and highly recommend.

Andy G.

Yelp
Friendly, fast service with delicious food. Definitely more Moroccan than strictly Mediterranean, and definitely more delicious!

Michael H.

Yelp
Fresh Moroccan food, delicious and easy to digest. We had the tagines and the soup as well as the humus and Aubergine starters. The manager gave us some free bakhlava and extra fresh mint tea and service was delightful in that way. Easy casual atmosphere.

David B.

Yelp
"Good for the soul" food. Warm, flavorful, with friendly staff that make you feel at home.

Brian S.

Yelp
If you want the most amazing Moroccan food go here. My family (including two teens ) said it was the best food they ate in all of England . Location was good and easy to find . Service was on point ! The entire staff know what they are doing and are super friendly! They gave us some complementary mint tea at the end of our fabulous meal also . Thank you for an amazing meal !

Brandon A.

Yelp
I know most people don't go to a restaurant like this for a veggie burger, but the mushroom burger was fantastic. I would get it again in a heartbeat!

Veronica R.

Yelp
Great food and service! My colleague and I enjoyed olives, basket of hot flat bread, lentils, pastilla and chicken tagine. Looking forward to visiting again on our next business trip from the USA.

Faith M.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing!!! Food was incredible, kind and knowledgeable staff, and really nice, clean inside! Lots of gluten free options that are celiac safe! Would absolutely recommend this to anyone visiting Windsor

K M.

Yelp
Super friendly service and delicious dishes. We tried a variety of dishes and desserts- we were thrilled with all of them. Nice atmosphere and a great experience all around!

Yelp
Lovely Moroccan restaurant with great food and a fun vibe! The name is pronounced "mee-mo". We liked everything about this place, including the Moroccan radio station that plays the funnest songs. The service was super- friendly, attentive and to the point. We ordered the vegan soup which was so delicious- bold rich flavors, lemony and one of those dishes you want to go back and eat again. The sea bass was made for me dairy/egg free, with a large variety of roasted vegetables, and I also ordered the side of saffron rice (which tasted more like turmeric rice but oh well), and it paired well with it. The fish was made to perfection! The kitchen seemed very accommodative with my request. The restaurant is at a great location in Windsor, just a few min from the castle, and there's a car park just 2 min away (King Edward Court). The prices are on the higher side for England, but it's a very pleasant place for lunch or dinner!

Kay W.

Yelp
What a wonderful spot. We were promptly greeted and made to feel welcome the moment we walked in. The falafel, chicken tajine and meimo couscous were wonderful. The people-watching contributed to the casual ambiance . Definitely worth a visit.

Colleen C.

Yelp
Beautiful subtle blend of spices in wholesome food , the owner made us feel welcome immediately. We appreciate the vegetarian options and the warm atmosphere with wonderful Moroccan food and wine!

Yelp
My fiancé and I were looking for something different than British pub fare, and stumbled across this place. We're so happy we did! Every one of our dishes was incredible, and the service was top notch and could not be nicer. The owner came around to each table to say hello and check that we were happy with the food, and even offered us to stay for tea after our meal. The restaurant's ambiance was also very cozy and fun! We highly recommend a stop here if you're passing through Windsor.

Cory A.

Yelp
The food here was really fantastic! We had a large grip and shared about a dozen small dishes and loved them all. However, the service here is really what sets this place apart. They truly go above and beyond and make you feel like you're a part of the family (even when you're a tourist from another country).

Yelp
What a lovely experience in Windsor! After visiting the castle and do some shopping, the perfect way to end the day is sit down and enjoy a meal. We ordered 3 combo starters: chicken wings, fried calamari, and prawn. All nicely flavored and very tender. For entree, we order the lamb tangine and chicken tangine that was cooked with olive and cured lemon, both with couscous. The tangine makes them fall off the bone soft yet still Al dente for texture. The flavor all soak in the meat and not salty at all. The waiter/manager was very nice, also offer a shot of Morroco after our meal.

Scott V.

Yelp
Got off to a little of a rough start when waiter brought the red version of the Moroccan white wine I ordered. He was very apologetic and quickly resolved the problem. The main course of lamb, chicken and sausage with saffron rice was delicious as was the mint tea and ice cream and pastry. The waiter finished off with a Turkish peach liquor yummy!

Yelp
While on a quick trip from the USA, looked for great food in Windsor, of any cuisine. Saw good reviews, and since I love Mediterranean cuisine, we gave it a try. Absolutely fantastic lunch menu at very reasonable prices! We got a selection of small plates and a chicken salad. The meat on the salad was luscious, and the Briouat filled savoury pastry was excellent, accompanied by a sweet yet slightly spicy sauce. I could eat here regularly - but sadly it's a long trip from Delaware.

Jaime O.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. Quite authentic. Nice location and environment. I recommend this place. It feels like family.

Chelsea L.

Yelp
Had a fantastic lunch here while in town sight-seeing. Service was friendly, if a little slow because of the lunch rush. Food was EXCELLENT; bright flavors, rich meats, well-prepared and plentiful. I'm not saying I would take a 9-hour flight to eat here again, but if I'm in the same hemisphere any time soon, I would think long and hard about making the trip.

Elizabeth L.

Yelp
Thank you Abdul, for a wonderful evening! Dinner for four and it was lovely. We tried so many things... Start with small plates and then move your way to dinner. Lamb shank was superb, vegetable tangine, all the small plates.... come hungry and take your time.

Frances D.

Yelp
Very nice lunch here, flavorful and delicious. This was the perfect end to our day in Windsor. Great service and the location is perfect. Sit outside and enjoy the breeze and the people walking by.

Yelp
Was looking for somewhere to go after Windsor Castle and found Meimo. The food was absolutely delicious we had a chicken brochette and a vegetarian tangine. Both were really good, and made us both want to visit Morocco! Great desserts, drink list and service too.

R S.

Yelp
Great location in Windsor, just down the lane from Windsor Castle. Indoor and outdoor seating. Service is friendly. It seems very much like a family restaurant. The food is very well done. The flavor is Morrocan, and it is great. (the table next door got burgers, and boy did they also look great by even niche American Burger Standards.) There were 7 of us with a wide variety of tastes in food. We all left quite satisfied after a wonderful meal. Thank you.

Jay P.

Yelp
My partner and I had a fab meal at this authentic, fresh and reasonably-prices Med restaurant. The staff are friendly, the food is class and the atmosphere buzzing.

Marsha K.

Yelp
Great variety of foods. Friendly staff. Each dish has its own savory flavor. We had lamb, chicken, Koufta and beef brochettes. All was excellent and worth repeating. When we were done the owner called a taxi for us and served us mint tea (on the house) while we waited.

Brandon M.

Yelp
Great service from the staff! Food was great. We had the chicken pastilla, soup, meatballs, several chicken dishes and everything was very good. I would definitely come back here again!

Yelp
We found Meimo while walking around Windsor after visiting the castle. My husband, child, and I enjoyed the bread, the 5 small plate combination, a hamburger, and some lentils. Everything was very tasty and we all enjoyed the meal very much. My husband and I enjoyed some lovely wine with the meal, and we were brought complimentary tea at the conclusion of the meal.

Yelp
On a recent outing to Windsor (I'm a castle fanatic) we were strolling around, trying to find a cheap but cheerful place to have some lunch. We walked past Meimo and I immediately noticed it but didn't realize it was Moroccan. We passed by it again and noticed they had a great lunch special going so we thought we'd give it a try. We're big fans of Moroccan food (and Morocco!) and we had someone with us who had never tried it. The lunch special consisted of two courses which my husband and his brother both ordered calamari (before we went to Morocco we never realized this is actually a popular dish there!). I decided not to do the lunch special and just order kofta skewers. The calamari was well seasoned and fresh and more than met our expectations. For the mains, I had the kofta skewers, as mentioned, and they were served with rice and salad. They were a bit too dry for my liking - certainly not the best I've had and could have done with an extra dose of seasoning. The boys both ordered the roast chicken which also came with salad and fries/chips. It was moist and juicy although could have also used a bit of a kick with spices. However, the homemade sauces served with it made up for that and we could reach our spicy quota. Overall, the service was good, the lunch specials were good (although there weren't many Moroccan dishes for the lunch specials, they included things like sandwiches, a burger, the chicken, and some pasta). If I was in Windsor for dinner I'd definitely go back and try the tanginess - a couple next to us ordered them as we were leaving and they looked and smelled divine!

Yelp
Excellent food and even better service. We sat outside and people watched while having a healthy pour of wine and hummus. Service was spectacular..attentive without hovering.

Reema B.

Yelp
This was my first experience with Moroccan food so I went in with a clean slate. Tried the Batata Hara which was bland. The server noticed this and apologized, took it off my bill and had the chef come out to speak to me before he prepared my entree. I had a vegetarian Tagine which was delicious ! Perfectly cooked vegetables and beans in a flavorful broth served with a side of couscous. Had a great experience !

Andrew L.

Yelp
I've been here with my family a couple of times and we come away glowing with delight at the warm, friendly service and the hypnotising flavours. The menu isn't complicated, but it works great as lunch or a dinner; casual or a special occasion. The wines were spot on too.

Scott S.

Yelp
Service was great and very friendly. Food was delicious including aubergine dip, shak shuka, lamb shank and chicken tangine. Highly recommended!

Charles W.

Yelp
All I can say is awesome! The service was fantastic. The Lamb Tangine was great. Added a bottle of wine and had one of the best meals in a long time.

Darren F.

Yelp
So happy to find this gem of a restaurant. We were getting a bit tired of pub grub after several weeks traveling around Great Britain, and were looking for something a bit healthier. We had the Char-grilled Chicken Brochette and Lamb Brochette, along with flat bread and humus. Everything was fantastic. The food was wonderfully seasoned and beautifully presented. The owner and staff were fun and friendly, and very accommodating. I don't know if I'll ever get back to Windsor, but if I do, I know where I'll be eating.

Meghan S.

Yelp
such a good dinner with a large group. the owner and his staff where so accommodating and made great recommendations. the service was top notch....get the lamb shank tangine. delicious!

Sue K.

Yelp
A wonderful family run restaurant for my family gathering. Great food and atmosphere took me away to Morocco! Such personal service, highly recommended.

Ini A.

Yelp
Meimo served one of the most tasty meals I have had in a long time. Being a Moroccan restaurant, I opted for the lamb shank tagine served with cous cous which was cooked to perfection. Not only is Meimo great for meat-eaters, it also appeals to vegetarians with their incredible lentil tagine amongst other delicious options. A must visit if you're ever in Windsor!

Antonette Z.

Yelp
My husband and I came here for two dinners. We did not know Moroccan food or wine, and we were totally thrilled. We had lamb shanks both times, prepared different ways. The lamb tagine was our favorite, but both were yummy. We had olives one night for a starter and a pastilla with chicken, almonds, and orange blossoms the next night. We also loved the Moroccan white and red wines, which we never knew existed. The waiter also poured us some truly lovely Moroccan liqueurs. Staff are super helpful overall. This place is a treasure.

Richard P.

Yelp
I'm a Windsor resident and really like Meimo, mainly because the staff are really friendly. They actually seem to remember us! Food is great, pretty healthy and we've enjoyed every visit.

Bec N.

Yelp
Great food, great service and superb atmosphere. Very friendly and good choices. My favourite restaurant in Windsor.
