MEININGER Hotel Berlin Alexanderplatz

The place was really very good. Perfect location, despite the family room was little bit small for 5 persons but it is very good and clean. I will come again for sure.

This hotel in Berlin is honestly a hidden gem that feels way too good to be real. Perfect location close to the centerstunning views, super clean rooms, cozy family like atmosphere and overall just pure comfort. You really feel like someone actually cares about your stay here, not just about your booking. But the real heart and soul of this place is Ana at the reception. She is absolutely incredible full of life positive energy genuine love for people and the world. You can feel that this job is not just a job for her. She is literally made for hospitality. From the first second, she made us feel welcome, remembered details, smiled with real warmth, and went out of her way to help us experience Berlin to the fullest. Ana didn’t just check us in she gave us insider tips recommended amazing places explained how to explore Berlin like locals, and made everything feel effortless. She genuinely wants guests to have the best time possible, and that energy spreads through the entire hotel. Honestly, she is the soul of this beautiful place. Rooms were spotless beds super comfortable, everything felt fresh and cared for The vibe is warm friendly and relaxed – like staying with family but with hotel-level comfort. If you’re coming to Berlin and want a place that feels human, warm, and exceptional, this is it. 10/10 would come back

I travelled with my two teenagers and thought this was a great hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and pleasant and we really enjoyed the breakfast. The hotel is well located - right next to a UBahn station (although when we were there the station was closed - there was however a replacement bus service and possible to walk). As others have said, there is a supermarket right next-door and there are good restaurants nearby (also the Kulturbrauerei which is worth a visit!)

1. Mattresses were too firm, It felt like i was sleeping on a very hard block of foam. Pillows were unacceptable for a hotel... the quality was very poor. 2. The noise was unbearable. The door was not soundproof, all noises came in (doors banging, people talking during late night checkin, cleaning crew talking early morning, students banging stuff in their rooms/laughing/yelling late at night). The hotel had lots of underage students yelling/making noise even at night. the sounds came from everywhere so there was no point of telling this to the reception as I could not know which rooms were the noisy ones.. Even If we knew which room was to blame, the rooms should be better soundproofed and there should not be the need for the person staying to complain about it to the reception every night. We chose to stay in a hotel to relax, not to complain to the reception desk every single night. 3. Room's bathroom was NOTHING like the one we booked. We were given an accessibility room so the bathroom was completely different, with low sink and the shower was not comfortable at all. In other words, I would in no way choose this hotel again. Maybe It's only suited for young people/students or people who have no problem with sleeping with noises and firm matresses.

Location is good, service and friendliness ok, but rooms are really prison like, very cheap equipment, old furniture, everything pretty much worn down. It remains a youth hostel and even the single and double rooms have that flair. Definitely not worth the money, you'll get a proper hotel for the same money.

We really loved the stay! The service at the reception is really helpful and when we had a problem with noisy neighbors they went and solved it right away. The rooms were clean and very comfortable, the bathroom small but practical. Elevator worked well, it was super fast. The guest kitchen was very well equipped, there was everything we needed. There’s an Ubahn station right next to the hotel and there are loads of places to eat in the nearest area. If I come to Berlin again, I will for sure come back to this hotel or one somewhere else. I booked the room for two - for my son and myself. We stayed in a room for four, just for two of us. A great place to stay in Berlin. Very convenient location. the hotel just above the metro station. Near the hotel there are many places eat weel and have a coffee. There is also a supermarket near by that is open until late. The place is clean and warm, shower is hot .

I think that this hostel is the best in Berlin. Very nice rooms with just four beds. The bed is made when you enter the room and towel is also included. It's perfectly situated close to Alexanderplatz. I warmly recommend you to stay there when you are in Berlin. I'm returning there on my next trip to Berlin.
