Clean rooms, great staff and a low key, calm bar area. You could socialize, or just hang out quietly at a table. The price was great, the location was good (as long as you don’t mind walking a bit) and above all it felt safe. A special shout out to Gregory, Gloria, Camila and the guy with the shaved head and glasses whose name I forgot. They were all very helpful.

Honestly, it’s a really cool hostel for students. Great for the price n they have got almost every amenity. The staff were really nice, polite n helpful. Breakfast was great and rooms were a little small but cannot complain. Bathrooms are decent and room service was timely. Totally worth the price 😃 also it’s like 10-15 minutes walk from Alexanderplatz TV tower so the location was cool too.

The hotel is located immediately next to the U-Bahn station, which is great. It is quite cozy, but the hotel was designed for young people and school groups, which can be seen both by the design and the facilities available. The staff were always kind and happy to help, but the downside was that a family of two adults and a child was placed in a room for persons with reduced mobility, even though there had been more rooms in the hotel. We visited during Berlinale and found the hotel and the city amazing and excellent.

A clean, modern place with friendly staff, felt more like a private hotel stay than a dormitory! The staff were very friendly and welcoming, always willing to help and answer any questions. I stayed in a 4-bed dormitory, which was impressively clean and felt more like a private double room thanks to its own toilet and shower. It didn’t feel like a typical dormitory stay at all. The buffet breakfast was good, with a wide variety of choices as much as you could expect from a standard buffet. Overall, the place was modern, clean, and very comfortable. The only downside I noticed is the baggage storage. In other traveller dormitories I’ve stayed at, luggage storage before check-in or after check-out was free. Here, there's a fee, and it's handled by a third-party service.

One of the best hostel stays I have had in a while. The reception staff were so kind and considerate of everything, and even gave great recommendations. Loved talking with all of them. The room was quite spacious and modern which for the price is a great value for money. Dorms are cleaned everyday, making the better, and plus point was having a full kitchen to cook food and refrigerate stuff if required. Highly recommended if you are in the city, location is great, with U-Bahn & Tram stations nearby along with supermarkets.

Very very pleased with our stay this weekend. Guest reception was very kind, patient, and prompt. They went as far as to get the kids coloring books and pencils. We’re new to Europe and this trip we expected no air conditioning however, on this warm weekend, it wasn’t a factor. They offered a fan for the room which my wife promptly sent me down to get. The room was spacious enough for a family of 5 who spent all their time out exploring Berlin. The room was clean, beds were comfortable, shower pressure was excellent and heated up very quickly. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. Your dollar goes far in that regard. Only minor inconveniences were the location of parking and the noise of rowdy folks. We had to circle the area twice due to construction taking place literally on the doorstep of the hotel. After we found a spot, the parking situation became very tolerable. The noise of some rowdy folks enjoying themselves in the hours of 0000-0130 was a little disappointing but, with windows shut, wasn’t an issue though it prevented fresh air in the early morning. All in all, the hotel was great. Kind reception, tons of stuff to do, places to eat, and things to see. We’ll be visiting more of these MEININGER branded hotels for the duration of our time in Europe.

Great hotel location. The rooms are decent. I paid 15 euros for late checkout and first they deactivated my card and the second time they activated it but only until the normal checkout time. Not so much as an apology from the employee, Marta. Poor customer service, unfortunately.

I had to make an unplanned stay in Berlin and this hotel came up right away. At first, i was hesitant because of the low price and the shared rooms and bathrooms, but everything turned out far better than expected. The rooms were spotless and well-maintained. Special thanks to Marta at the reception, who helped me with all my requests quickly, professionally, and free of charge. She truly adds an extra star to the hotel. I wish every city in the world had a Meininger, and a Marta:)
