Great little place! Food and service was excellent and room ok. Only downside was poor wifi.

Had dinner here 3x with our family and friends! It was a great experience. The restaurant has a nice ambiance with modern decor. The food was good and servings are on the large side. Not too many selection on the menu. The 3rd time the service was slow maybe because they're short staffed. Other than that, it's a very nice restaurant with good food and good ambiance.

We loved it here! The service is so nice and helpful, they did their best to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The place is modern and beautiful with a touch of history. Nice walks in the village are possible. Lovely breakfast (but no restaurant for dinner). However there is a decent Italian restaurant a minute away. We totally recommend!!

Landhaus Meinsbur is a nice traditional German place to stay the night. Beautiful garden, very well kept with a quietness you look for after a long drive. We were nicely welcomed and stayed in the modernised garden house. Nice room with authentic furniture. A comfortable bed and a delicate bathroom. We had delicious dinner upon arrival, served on the terrace in the garden. Friendly local service. Excellent tasty food prepared in a very nice way. We had lamb and duck. This is a highly recommendable place to stay, 15 minutes off the motorway, but completely out in the beautiful countryside. We will stay here again when we can.

Stayed here for one night on our way to the Baltic coast with our family and parents. Hotel is slightly in the middle of nowhere and the direct surroundings are not necessarily pretty but the grounds are nice and quiet. Instead of 2 rooms which we had booked for our family, they "upgraded" us to the Gartenhaus, in the back of the garden, nice and quiet with lots of privacy. Room downstairs had a double bed with a pull out sofa. Very spacious.Traditional decor in good working order, newer style bathroom with shower and separate toilet. Room upstairs had double bed too with an extra bed in the little hall way and a bath room that we didn't even end up using. Everything is in good working condition. Here and there walls and wood work could do with another lick of paint. We had dinner in the restaurant, with special children's meal. Good quality, good service, value for money, and not negatives. We sat outside, covered but they had heaters, blankets, etc. to stay warm. Breakfast was more than sufficient as well, considering the size of this hotel. My parents enjoyed their stay although they weren't too happy with the mattress quality and the rooms smelled slightly (of smoke?). All in all, a good option. Free wifi.

Just back from a two night stay on the weekend at the Landhaus whilst visiting friends nearby. The hotel is a breath of fresh air; clean rooms, delightfully furnished, good bathroom, excellent shower. The breakfast was good and in a nice setting. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. A real refreshing change from the normal predictable chain hotels.||Can't comment on dinner as we ate at our friends. ||Nothing to fault really and hope to return one day.

the hotel - restaurant is close to the main autobahn into Hamburg. If you have to continue into hamburg you might be confronted with traffic congestion, are you however proceeding away from hamburg (bremen) the hotel is an excellent choice. Quiet, nice spacious rooms, good bathrooms and nice beds and covers (german style). ||the restaurant offered a very nice 3 or 4 course menu, till acceptable price and a good choice of open wines by the glass. breakfast is not included in the room price, but at an 7.50 euro charge there was no complaint.for the traveller a recommended place to take a "nap".

I was looking for somewhere to stay just outside Hamburg. Meinsbur is located in the little village of Benesdorf, in a very quiet and pretty location.||It's a lovely building, very old fashioned and solid - and thatched! The rooms are beautiful, the wi fi is free the food in the restauarant is fantastic and the beer is local and very good.||I was on a business trip, but this place would work well for couples looking for a quiet retreat with great food and lovely countryside. ||My total bill, including dinner and drinks came to €120, which given the quality on offer hear, is a steal.
