Mekong Angkor Palace Hotel

On my late arrival at Mekong Angkor Palace Hotel, and on checking inn I was told they don't accept visa card and that i have to pay cash for the transport? (There was nothing written on the confirmation receipt of paying cash) I didn't have cash with me. I was then taken to my room by and tall unfriendly worker in a white shirt. On entering the room i checked the room out & observed it didn't have a city view instead a brick wall to be told later it's the school wall next door, a queens size bed not a single as requested, i said this not what I'd requested and showed him the confirmation booking receipt. HE TOTALLY INGORGED ME. As i stayed to walk out off the room he didn't help me with my luggage, we went back to reception and i show what i had printed out, he the directed me to a room with view, on trying to open the balcony door it wouldn't open, then he tried and could open the balcony..... so it was back to reception. The man at reception told they don't have another room, i said that's not good enough he then rang someone and gave me the Room 402. Room 402 was it for the next 10days, great friendly service from housekeeping staff, dining room staff, and the girls at reception. The room was spotless clean every day, and breakfast was adequate with an egg bar. Yes i would highly recommend Mekong Angkor Palace Hotel as it's situated in a great location, surround by eateries and only a Tuk-tuk ride to all the all-tourist sights including Angkor Watt, The Lotus Garden. A must to APOPO to see The Herorat. There was an issue with the Ops Manager Saris on check out regarding my transport to airport, He was not happy that i didn't use his driver....i ask myself why? On my driver's arrival to the hotel The Ops Manager approached him and tried to deter him away as his driver was in the driveway, ( i had booked this driver 6 days previously) My driver later told me off what has transpired and has never experienced that. Not good....as he would have got a kick back for sure from the hotel driver. Otherwise a great place to stay.

Its very difficult to rate hotels in Asia as they are way cheap than Europe but always can get deals. The hotel is in a good location ,rooms are big but pretty old. The breakfast is good enough (may be better than similar budget hotels) the swimming pool is also good enough. Over all for the price its Ok.

Really enjoyed this hotel! The location is super central walking to pub street, mini marts, ATM, money exchange, massage, and anything else you need! ||There is construction going on next door which is a real eye sore and mood killer from the noise while you're at the pool but hopefully once that it finished it will be lovely.||The laundry here is really cheap at $1US per kilo. Although the mud marks on my pants were not removed and I ended up with someone else's clothes (I did return them and hoping they got back to the owner).||The fan in the room was extremely noisy so don't use that.||There is a pool bar which is great.|The hotel is located down a laneway so not visible from the street so just be aware of this.

I work with a charity and stay in Siem Reap. Ive traveled to Cambodia 5 times over 6 years. This is the first time Ive stayed at this hotel. the hotel is very clean and the Breakfast is very good the location is great and off the main Street. stayed for Ten nights.will be booking again next year.

Very comfortable and clean. Free buffet breakfast and omelette bar, delicious! Staff are very friendly and efficient. Lovely pool. Very good location, less than 5 minutes walk from Pub St. Wifi had some hiccups but was always good for email and social media

The place is located just on city centre inside a lane . Rooms are quite big and entire property have descent space . However there is clearly lack of maintenance in the rooms/toilets . Also the entrance area , lobby ,swimming pool all lacks the class which may be considered it to be a 3 star property.Complementary breakfast is adequate but need upgrade on hygiene .

It was such an incredible experience spending the night there with my family. The room was neat and clean and their food was great as well. Although I could feel their front desk staff was not too amiable, they still tried their best offering good services. The location, on the other hand, is a 10/10 since it’s pretty close to the Pub Street.

The hotel was nice a little bit dated but was OK for a short break. The breakfast was nice and friendly staff.there was a very good tuk tuk driver outside the hotel his name is Tim
