Mel is an incredible teacher. Mel changes the way you play by breaking down your bad habits and reconstructing your swing, movement and overall way of thinking about the game. I was amazed at how much information I retained after the lessons, and brought to golf course. He's an interesting person as well, having played with most of the greats of golf. Don't hesitate.

Mel runs an incredible program. He is patient, witty, and most importantly and fantastic instructor. I walked into the program knowing not much about golf, Mel provided me with a foundation and confidence to build on. The location at Pawleys Plantation is beautiful. You will not be disappointed in your experience.

A friend and I went to the Mel Sole Golf School April 21 2024. We are both in our 60's with a 12 handicap. I was looking for a little more distnce on my drives. Mel, helped me with my hip rotation and many other aspects of the game such as chipping and putting. After returning home, I spent a couple weeks practicing the techniques he had taught me. Every aspect of my game that I practice, has improved tremendously. Mel taught me the right techniques and how to practice. My friend who has been playing golf for 40years said, "I wish I would have come here 10 years ago". We are both planning a return trip in 2025 to continue to hone our craft. In late March, my wife and I had the pleasure of attending Mel Sole Golf School, nestled in the picturesque surroundings of Pawleys Island, South Carolina. As golfers with handicaps in the low teens, we were eager to refine our skills and possibly take our game to the next level. Mel Sole’s program did not disappoint and here's why. Firstly, the breadth of instruction was truly impressive. Mel masterfully covered all aspects of the game – from full swings to pitching, chipping, and putting. The personalized attention to each shot type helped us grasp nuances we hadn’t considered before. Moreover, Mel kept things simple and provided excellent drills we used and can fall back on. One of the standout features of our training experience was the use of video analysis. Watching ourselves on video, with expert commentary from Mel, made it clear what mistakes we were making and how to correct them. This visual feedback is an invaluable tool that has transformed the way we approach each shot. The limit of 4 people allowed Mel to cover the instruction in an efficient manner with all 4, and then to observe and provide personal feedback one-to-one. The facilities at Mel Sole Golf School are top-notch, with ample practice areas that are well-maintained and ideal for learning. The staff’s hospitality and the overall environment make it a perfect getaway for golfers looking to seriously improve their game. Mel Sole is an outstanding instructor and teacher. I completed his three-day school today. He quickly diagnosed my major swing flaw (coming over the top) and gave me drills to correct it. By the second day I was swinging much better. He uses video analysis to show students exactly what is working and what needs improvement. He uses a hands-on approach that works very well. He takes the time to identify what method will work best for each student. The facility at Pawley’s Plantation is first-rate. With the drills and video provided, I am confident I will improve all aspects of my game. Thank you Mel for an outstanding experience.

While visiting Mel's school at Pawleys Plantation I took a lesson from lead instructor Dave Olberding. The lesson was very helpful and the time we spent going over the video of my swing before and after the lesson was extremely helpful. Dave devised a plan to continue my improvement by identifying a training system that allowed for continuous feedback. Dave is very patient, goes over each element in detail and confirmed my understanding of what we were working on to improve. I highly recommend Dave to anyone vacationing in the Pawleys Island!!!

I recently attended a 3 day golf school with Mel and stayed at Pawleys plantation.. the school was a great insight to the smaller details I know I needed..and at the same time he taught me fundamentals that I was missing..hands down a great value from a true professional and teacher of the sport. I respected his lengthy seasoned resume even before attending school, but the actual lessons trained my brain to restart and reset with good fundamentals.. Pawleys plantation is a very nice accommodation as well.. will be returning for more lessons!

I recently attended Mel Soles 3 day Golf school. The first day he immediately recognized some major issues with my swing and put me on the path to a better game. Mel taught me drills that are improving my technique where I didn't even think I needed help. His instruction is straight forward and insightful. He's full of great stories and anecdotes which help to relax you and hold your attention. The cost was very reasonable with the on site accommodations provided by Mel being excellent, clean and just a short walk to the school. His video analysis is a reminder of all you've achieved from start to finish that you can take with you. All told a great experience. This may become a yearly stop during our winter migration.

Mel Sole is an excellent golf instructor utilizing the time tested techniques plus the latest technologyl Golf Gruva. I spent an hour with Mel Sole reviewing video of my swing techniques and time on the Golf Gruva. This combination produced amazing results in two weeks. I am shooting 5-7 strokes better. I visualize and feel a solid swing plane which puts me in the correct positions on takeaway, transition, impact and follow through. I wish I lived nearer to Mel and I would be a single digit handicapper a lot sooner.
