This is a really remote part of west fjords. Cool drive over some rough roads but worth the trip for the views alone. Campsite is great. Little kitchen and good simple facilities..plenty of camping room. The red beach valley is lovely with some good walking tracks. Bit damp under foot.

Stayed in campsite. Good facilities small inside kitchen but nice. I didn't use showers. Great waterfall and views across red beach. Cool drive in over pass and potholes road.

One of the most beautiful campsite that we have done in Iceland. However, the common room (kitchen and dining space) is tiny (fits 4 people max), and there is only one indoor shower. A second shower is an open roof one. We stayed back in august and while a little cold, it was bearable. We’d still recommend it despite the inconvenience as it is truly a beautiful site.

The place is indeed very beautiful. But amenities are not worth the big money they charge. No heaters anywhere, so you will not have a warm place to eat, shower or even sit on the toilet. All these facilities are in very small wooden huts and are very prone to become cold. And the campsite is VERY windy so you will want to have some warm place. No washer and dryer. A shower has a timer and that's just a stupid idea: you can't be sure what conditions people have and how much time they actually need. Oh, and also you can't use electricity to charge the car. Overall it's pretty okay and the view is actually good. I'm just disappointed by some very questionable decisions for the not so small pay amount.

Probably the most beautiful campsite I've visited in Iceland. However, the road to get to the campsite is unpaved and narrow which can be a little stressful and demanding, but it's totally worth it. You will find 1 shower, a small kitchen and 2 toilets. All pretty clean. The staff comes by in the evening (or the next morning) to take the payment. It was 4700 ISK for 2 people in a campervan (no electricity needed).

This was a great campsite. It’s quiet and right next to the beach! I spent a lot of time at private and amazing campsites around Iceland and this was top 3 for me. On a clear sunny day, it’s hard to beat.

This campsite is in a great Location near the Rauðisandur. Campsite provide kitchen area and toilet. We did feel the lack of privacy in the toilett and lack of maintenance both in toilet and kitchen area, door knobs were highly damaged so it was almost impossible to close doors. A little overprised.

Attention Camping Card User : Who owns the camping card still has to pay half of the price of the camping card “to use the amenities” like toilet , shower and washing machine. We were also left no choice as to pay it. In other campsites you can decide if you want to shower or wash cloth . Toilet is always included and should be a minimum of what a campsite provides. Why otherwise go there?! Also great to have a washing Maschine without a dryer so even we theoretically paid for it we can not use it on a wet day or in case you stay only one night cause where to put your wet stuff? After paying for amenities 1100 per person we went to shower but then you are only allowed to be in the bath room 10 minutes which is in general fine since there is only one shower and of course you should look out for others who want to shower too. However, after paying 1100/person which is the price of entrance for a public swimming pool where I can shower as long as I want I do not see this in any balance . Other campsites who ask for a fee for the shower let you shower 8 minutes for 500kr . Therefore, I can only advice camping card users not to go here and the camp site to overthink there pricing!
