Melasti Beach is known for being one of the most scenic beaches in Bali, with its dramatic cliffs, turquoise water, and white sand. The drive down through the cliffside road is impressive and definitely adds to the experience.
However, there were a few downsides during our visit. There’s an entrance fee to access the beach, which is fine, but we were disappointed to find that the water was actually quite dirty that day, with a lot of debris floating around, making swimming less enjoyable than expected.
Another issue was transportation – we tried to leave using Grab, but it wasn’t possible to get a driver to pick us up from the beach area, so we had to find another way out, which was a bit frustrating.
There are some facilities like sunbeds, cafés, and showers, and the setting is definitely beautiful, but based on our experience, it didn’t fully live up to the hype.
A pretty beach with potential, but be prepared for some practical challenges.
