Melasti Beach Bungalows

If I could give 10 stars for service, I would. The rooms are clean & simple, but the staff went above and beyond to make our stay so special and comfortable. We felt safe and VERY well cared for during our stay. The proximity to the beach was incredible and, though the Melasti doesn’t have a pool, the place right across the street does & you can use it if you order food/drinks. The folks who work here were truly a highlight of my month in Bali. Please stay here to encounter what the Balinese people are all about.

This place was the highlight of our 3-week trip. We only stayed there for 2 nights but wished we could have spent a lot more time. The owner Missy has great conversation and went out of her way to help us make the most out of our short time in the area. She organized our excursions, booked drivers and made this an unforgettable experience. We got to experience beautiful snorkelling (she has a boat rental service), sunrise with a local fisherman and one of the tastiest food we had in our whole trip (home cooked). Can't recommend her and the team at Melasti Beach bungalows more. The bungalows are big, very well decorated and super clean. They literally seat on the beach and you can go to sleep listening to the waves. If you are in the area, you should definitely book there! Bonus points for her two super cute dogs!

We loved our stay at Melasti Beach Bungalows so much!! The bungalows are really cute and clean and they offer a nice view of the Gunung Agung on one side and the sea and the charming garden on the other side (and the beautiful starry night sky when it's clear!). Missy and her staff are amazing as well! They have great tips on what to do or where to go for dinner and they're just really nice in general. :) ||||The food was great as well! Loved the pink pancakes for breakfast! Would also definitely reccomend having dinner at the bungalows! ||||We also went on the sunset cruise. It was a relaxing way to end our stay at Melasti beach bungalows.||||All in all we had a fantastic stay and would love to return some day!

Melasti beach bungalow is a bit of heaven right there is Amed. In the front the beautiful garden, beach and ocean & in the back the unobstructed view of Mt. Agung. The place is situated a bit aside of the center, away from the crowd & the loud street. Very quiet & peaceful.|From the moment we arrived we felt warmly welcomed by Missy & family. |Missy & her husband organised a bonfire one night & we grilled fish together for dinner. I tell you some of the best fish I ever ate! |Breakfast & the lunch/dinner menu also offers fantastic food. Susi must be the best cook in town. |We loved laying on the mattress in the shade under the bungalow, listening & watching the ocean. There is really no better way to relax.|The bedroom has everything you need, even a fridge and two balconies to both sides. Bed & pillows were extra comfy and everything was spotless clean. |Missy can organize you anything you need from motorbike, drivers, tours to boat rides. |We can’t wait to come back & stay a bit longer. We already miss Missy, her family and of course the two sweet dogs June & Bobi. You made our stay in Amed memorable.|

We fell in love with this place the moment we arrived. The location was perfect, with the beach right out the front & fantastic views of Mt Agung out the back. The bungalows are beautifully decorated & has two balconys, with one overlooking a beautful serene garden & the ocean & the other overlooking the majestic Mt Agung. The owner Missy, has set this place up with love & it shows. She couldn't do enough for us, making sure we had everything we needed & telling us about places to see. Nothing was too much trouble & she was available at all times without being intrusive. The homecooked meals that Susi prepared were absolutely delicious & the portion size very generous. So much so we ate there every night during our stay. There are plenty of warungs to choose from a short walk along the beach or Missy can arrange transport. Missy also arranged massages at the bungalow which I had laying on the comfortable day bed to the sound of the waves. Missy's husband Komang, took us out on his boat for a Sunset cruise, which included snorkeling off the boat & was a lot of fun. We loved waking up in the morning & watching the sunrise either from our balcony or sitting on the beach. The accomodation doesn't have a pool, but with the beach on your doorstep, (which you have virtually to yourself), & is very safe to swim. We loved every, single thing about this place & was sad to leave the serenity. We stayed four nights and will definitely be back, but want to stay longer next time.

If you are looking for a place to stay in Amed, look no further. Missy is a superhost and her place is beautiful. It's super clean and right on the beach. The sunrises are spectacular and if you love very long beach walks- then you have it. You have the ocean on one side and Mt Agung towering over you on the other side. The views are incredible and this is a real Amed experience. Many places in Amed do not give you this perspective. Missy organises everything that you need. The food is very good there - Poke Bowl - OMG amazing food!!!I I had the best time ever and the water is so clean. The water is drinkable from the tap and is filtered and has an expensive filtration system to allow for this. First time for me drinking from a tap in a hotel. No need for aqua plastic bottle water. Missy is very helpful with local run down on best yoga, beach sunset bar, best cafes with high quality food, and where to go locally. ||

We stayed 2 nights with Missy and her lovely team. The bungalows are stunning with a wonderful view over the ocean and a very comfy bed. Everything is there and if not, Missy would certainly organize it for you. We got our scooter without asking on arrival and a lot of very very good recommendations (check out the local rice fields) as well as a lovely dinner in the beautiful garden on our first night. ||Make sure you don’t miss the sunset cruise which is organized by Missy‘s team as well! We would stay there again anytime!!

My husband and I have just arrived back from spending 3 wonderful nights at Melasti Beach Bungalows. Everything was so lovely - the decor and layout of the rooms, the proximity to the beach, the staff and the delicious breakfasts. |On one of the days, the owner and staff helped to arrange for us to take a traditional fishing boat out to go snorkling at the Liberty shipwreck at Tulumben. A very enjoyable way to spend the morning!|At night you could sit on the balcony and watch the multitude of stars against the shadowy backdrop of Mt Agung, whilst listening to the waves gentle crashing against the shore. Bliss!|Highly recommended for a quiet Amed getaway.|It by far exceeded our expectations and we are already planning our return!|Justyn & Natasha
