Hello Everyone. I passed by this place and had a really good lunch. The food was very good and enjoyable plus a breezy atmosphere. Nice vegetarian options and delicious sandwiches. I really enjoyed the Cuban sandwich. The chairs where a-bit rough but that doesn’t mean anything if you want some quick and good lunch with coworkers or friend.

me and a close friend went by and ordered a ham and swiss quiche and a shrimp wrap of some sort. trying to order at first, the waitress had ignored us multiple times while we raised our hand to order. my order had been mistaken for a ham and cheese crepe, although i had pointed to the ham and swiss quiche but then i was gaslit by the waitress that i had in fact ordered ham and cheese which my friend reassured me that i did not. my friends order had also come with hair in it as shown on the photo, overall i rate this place a 3/10, service was decent but a bit rude. the hair being in the food had really destroyed our appetite. would not come here again.

Avoid this place at all costs. Not only is the food incredibly mediocre (at best), the experience was horrible. Our dog barked once IN RESPONSE TO THE OTHER DOG HOWLING AT THE NEXT TABLE, and immediately someone came out and told us that our dog cannot bark. Said absolutely nothing to the other table. Then, as we were feeding our HUMAN BABY pieces of crepe, they came out and told us, “I’m sorry but you cannot feed your dog on our patio”. We were completely confused by what they meant— and then figured out that they must have seen us break off pieces of crepe for the baby? We were truly astonished that they thought we were feeding our dogs, especially when it was clear that the baby was there as they had brought out a high chair for him, we had ordered an entire crepe for the baby (in addition to the two dishes for me and my husband), and the baby was not hidden in any way. Even as the other dog barked throughout our meal, they said absolutely nothing. We counted at least eight different times when the dog next to us was howling. And then our dog responded ONCE. And immediately, the staff came straight to us and said again, your dog cannot bark on our patio. NO MENTION WHATSOEVER OF THE OTHER DOG GOING OFF NEXT TO US. The owners continued to eat in peace as we were interrupted. We have no idea why the owners with the dog barking wasn’t addressed— they were clearly staring straight at them and the dog barking. Maybe it’s because we are from Manhattan and looked out of place and clearly not locals? Either way, the targeted selective rudeness is unacceptable.

Food was good but options were somewhat limited. Waiters got my order wrong; I had asked for 3 bowls but they didn’t remember and just gave me 2, plus I had asked for strawberries on my crepe which they didn’t add. The crepes are really good though. Definitely recommend coming here, just be clear about what you ordered to the waiters.

The service is good and all the staff is super friendly. My husband ordered a sandwich and had the smoked salmon crepe. The salada that comes with the crepe is not seasoned at all (I missed something to add more flavor) but the taste was ok. All natural juices are wonderful! It is a must try. So refreshing and the mix of veggies and fruits works well together. There are many plates to choose, not only crepes and sandwiches.

I was drawn to this restaurant because it looked like it was fresh and healthy. Tried the Sicilienne crep , my husband ordered the saumon fume and my mom ordered the onion soup. The atmosphere and the service were ok, not good not bad, just ok. The food although it looked great it was not tasty at all. Specially the crepe (which given this is a Creperie ) we thought it was going to be good. The toppings on the crepes were decent. My mom said the soup tasted like it came from a can. I think this place could be better if the crepes were better and they improved their soups.

Staff was extremely rude and treated our party of 7 very poorly due to an included gratuity charge. Did not even stay to listen to our orders and walked away from the table while we were trying to submit orders. My order and many other orders were made poorly, food quality was horrible.

We had high hopes for this restaurant with a French name, but unfortunately, the experience was quite underwhelming. The galettes were not properly cooked and lacked the golden crispness that makes them enjoyable. The accompanying ingredients were not prepared or seasoned, resulting in a bland and uninspired dish. The leek soup was especially disappointing—it had no taste of leeks at all, and the overwhelming amount of cream made it almost inedible. Even the tea water was not hot, so the tea couldn't steep properly. It's a real shame, because the staff is clearly dedicated and kind. However, the quality of the food simply does not measure up. Conclusion: AVOID.

Yelp
Very cute cafe in Greenwich for a casual brunch! The menu is huge so I had a hard time deciding but opted for the turkey club because I saw someone at a table nearby had ordered it and it looked amazing. Incredible value for this sandwich, felt like 2 whole sandwiches! The Nutella crepe with banana was a little underwhelming but a good sweet treat to end the meal. Not a lot of Nutella and I thought the bananas would be inside. Overall, really liked this place, would come back for sure!!

Yelp
Not the same place any more. I used to eat here when the restaurant was only half its size now. It is crowded, dirty and too much confusion. My party and I walked in, we were not greeted by a staff right away because she was busy talking to other staff. Then some other party walked in after us, they were ushered in before us. The food was okay.

Yelp
Been going to Meli melo for years. During the summer is the best time to go here - generally good plus they have my favorite soup - avocado crab. Delicious!

Luiza A.

Yelp
Have come here a few times and always enjoy! It's usually pretty packed but having outdoor seating does help move things along quickly. The staff has always been very friendly and check in often to make sure everything is good. The inside is very cute and has plenty of tables. We ordered the lobster bisque to start and it was delicious! Really creamy and the bread on the side is a nice touch. For our main dishes we got the Californian crepe and Norway sandwich on ciabatta. The crepe is packed with veggies and has a really nice texture. The sandwich was crispy and packed with salmon. Would definitely return!

Yelp
I went here with my niece while visiting her at college. We had breakfast sandwiches (not pictured here) that were good...not great. We enjoyed this signature dessert crepe more than the sandwiches. This place appears to be a local favorite as it was recommended to me by someone I approached in the area and it was packed. It has a cute diner-like atmosphere. The service was good overall. I probably wouldn't rush back, but with so many creative menu options, I see the appeal. I just wasn't blown away by the quality of the food/flavors.

Luna

Yelp
Must go to!!!! The food is amazing! I recommend the chicken noodle soup, any sorbet, and I think it's called the peanut butter banana smoothie or something like that, so good! The service is fine they do pretty good since it's usually pretty crowded. And the decorations are simple but cute! Parking can definitely be tricky but it's so worth it!

Yelp
You can't go wrong with the fresh juices and crepes here. I got the Cardiovascular Juice and the vegan California crepe. The service can seem a bit unhappy but I can't blame them. The servers are making minimum wage in a town full of millionaires. I always tip very generously here, although I'm not a millionaire :-) I like my life, though, in spite of being middle class.

Yelp
Meli - Melo is located at the bottom of greenwich ave. During the week days it is not crowded and you are guaranteed to find a seat but on the weekends the ambiance is more lively and sometimes it's harder. They accept walk ins. And it is perfect to go with friends or family. Meli melo is similar to any other dinner. They have pretty much anything you want. From creps to smoothies, chicken, and salads. The food is very good and if your look for a quick lucnh I definitely recommend stopping by.

Yelp
I tried a new item here yesterday and i was, again, so thrilled with this place! The buckwheat crepes were so good, and so healthy and very filling. I just wish they had a sauce, but very thick and well balanced otherwise. This menu has so many vegetarian options, I love the eggplant and squash dishes especially. The mozzarella with eggplant and red peppers is always a must, i get it on a baguette to carry the substance of the toppings, though.

Kim M.

Yelp
For how full place always is, I was sorely disappointed by the food here. Hubs got the Duck Roll Crepe and he said it was a hoisin heavy mess. BIL got the Cubano sandwich and Chicken Noodle Soup and said it was very average. I got the Smoked Salmon salad which I was more satisfied with than the boys were with their meals but I did wish they weren't so skimpy with the Dijon vinaigrette. I also ordered the Lobster Bisque (hot but it's available cold too) and for a $14 soup you'd think there'd be some sign of real lobster but nope just all blended. Decent but a little fishier tasting than I like my lobster bisque. The most unfortunate part of the meal though was the dessert. Mint and vanilla gelato were flavorless and my banana Nutella sorbet was just so strange for that flavor to be not a creamy dessert. On the upside their cone is a good flavor or texture.

Yelp
The Female Busser's were very friendly. The food is overpriced. Server Milagros N was bitter and argued with both of us when we expressed our food did not come as ordered. No dressing and sandwich was not made the way it was said on the menu. Thankfully the manager took it off the bill. Was not checked in again on by server to make sure everything was ok. With so many restaurants around this block, I would go somewhere else. If management reads this I would like a full refund. You can clearly see both items ordered are dry and the sandwich was missing 4 Ingredients!!

Donald B.

Yelp
The Cuban sandwich is inedible. I have eaten this type of sandwich all of the United States and in Panama. Their version is a concoction that no one should try. ?When I complained the waiter just shrugged. No repeat visit.

Mandy B.

Yelp
Despite how full this place always is, quality is not consistent. Most especially true with their natural juices - beautifully described in their menu, the juices are watered down. I have a juicer at home, I know what fresh made juices taste like, their juices are incredibly mild, not matter the combination. Lastly, their seating configurations are tight, be prepared to sit close to others, and during cold seasons their wait staff have a tendency to keep their doors open despite customers saying they're freezing.

Erica S.

Yelp
Food has gone downhill....too bad because it used to be good years ago. There are better places on the ave.

Elena J.

Yelp
One of our preferred brunch spots on the Greenwich strip! Lots of healthier options to choose from. Highly recommend the portobello mushroom salad. So delicious! The crepe was good too oh and definitely try out their soups!

J M.

Yelp
Did not enjoy our food. Ham was very fatty, guacamole was beginning to oxidize/darken, crepes were not good- was expecting a warm meal and ingredients to be cooked together and they were just thrown on top with a cold salad on top. Was not good.

Amy H.

Yelp
We were seated right away- inside next to the open window. Right away we noticed we were lucky as there were a ton of people waiting for their seats. I'm obsessed with the crab crepe - no dressing on the mixed greens as I find the dressing to be too oily. Daughter had the croque monsieur and someone was foolish enough to order a cubano. Surprise- said fool who ordered the Cubano did not like it. Shocking that a Cubano was not good at a creperie and French cafe for dessert we had to take over and get the sugar/butter crepe (a classic) and the chocolate crepe with strawberries and bananas. Service was good- the meals took a while to come as it was packed. This is the kind of place that my hub walks out feeling unsatisfied- but that's what you get when you order a Cubano from a crepe place. It's like ordering a hamburger at a sushi restaurant!

Sara N.

Yelp
I have been here twice & really like this place. The first time I tried the Vacation smoothie, but this time i opted for the Açaí smoothie, which I prefer. I got the Fruit Frais crepés which I added banana & a side of Nutella to- absolutely phenomenal! The fruit was nice & fresh. My dad & brother got the B.E.C on a croissant which they both seemed to really enjoy. The service was great considering it can get a bit hectic in there & they have limited room/capacity. They were able to accommodate our party of 7, which was a relief, & provided great service. 4.5 stars.

Lori E.

Yelp
Great menu. Lots of healthy and tasty items. Love all the greens! Good service. Consistently good food. Something for everyone.

Marissa S.

Yelp
Not my favorite crepe place, and French onion soup was not the best, but the food seems good quality, the service was great, and the food seemed to be good quality. Really enjoyed the "vacation" smoothie. Did not have wifi. Id come back but would try different things - not the California crepe. Id try a sweet crepe and maybe a salad - the dressing on the California crepe was quite good.

Sophie A.

Yelp
My friends and I went here to have a nice Sunday lunch and ended up leaving with horrible nausea and stomach pains as well as feeling dizzy.... all we got were salads not sure what happened but just to sum it up my friends and I threw up from the chicken/tuna on our salads.

Devorah D.

Yelp
Good place for crepes. Fast service, but not the friendliest servers. Diner-like vibes. Soups are fantastic. Impressed that the butternut squash soup was made with a veggie base, not cream, which made it sooooo much more delicious than what I've tried elsewhere. Prices are so-so...not the greatest but pretty reasonable for Greenwich Ave.

Nune M.

Yelp
One of the most delicious foods I ate - the butternut squash soup was great and the bread was delicious. The sandwich was great as well. They have no WIFI. My waitress was very friendly.

Yelena A.

Yelp
This place is an institution and the quality of the food is consistently great. They can do a gluten free buckwheat crepe and seem to care about allergies. The duck salad is amazing, I'm still thinking about it. Smoothies are also delicious.

Rob S.

Yelp
A Greenwich Avenue staple. I worked in Greenwich with Apple for two years, the owners Evelyn and her husband and daughter all worked here. Apart from having exquisite food and a very complete menu, they are friendly and create a very family friendly environment. The soups are delicious and the crepes have no equals!

Saiteja G.

Yelp
We stopped here to grab some crepes. We order one with the plain nutella and titan (caramelized apples, ice cream and sour cream with a little chocolate fudge on top). It looks and tastes absolutely delicious. We were hear on a Friday night and they've had a beautiful sit out area along with live music. A perfect spot to lay back and hang out if you're in Greenwich.

Caitlin W.

Yelp
They call this a late for $7. Always out of matcha and unwilling to find a new distributor. Kinda super disappointed. Might as well go to Starbucks (never have) - at least they know how to make lattes.

Darien R.

Yelp
I only had to wait about 10 minutes for my main dish and it tasted so amazing! The outdoor seating is beautiful and the waitstaff are nice. Everything tasted homemade in the best way!

Michelle Q.

Yelp
I swear I craved this for every meal after I ate it. It was SO fresh and delicious! I also made my own smoothie with carrot, banana, and apple, and it was seriously the best, most fresh smoothie I have ever had (and I've had a lot of smoothies in my life). The service was also very nice and attentive. I will definitely be back! * also should note I went on a Friday during the lunch rush and we were still seated promptly and the food did not take long!

Sara K.

Yelp
Juices, Smoothies, Crepes and Recovery blends - oh my! Came here with a party of 6 (no reservations) and were seated in less than 10 minutes on NYE! We all got a recovery juice or smoothy (turmeric tiger x2, doctor x1, kidney x2, hulk x1) and all thoroughly enjoyed them! We all got different meals that included - portobello salad, creole omelet, complete omelet, nutella crepe x2 and the quiche. I give a 3/5 star because service is pretty terrible - they continued to interrupt the meal and seemed to rush us out with the check (of which they could not split so we had to use a sheet of paper to assist them) and were rude when delivering the food. It's clear that they are simply providing a product (delicious one at that) but not a service. This is unfortunate because there is so much to work with, the perfect location and the product is A+.

Cristina E.

Yelp
Cozy little spot right on Greenwich Ave. Great place to fuel up before a day of shopping! They had a very extensive menu with lots of variety. I ordered a cappuccino, French onion soup, and a strawberry and banana Nutella crêpe. Nothing disappointed!! So delicious! There was even outdoor dining in December (with outdoor heaters) which I really appreciated especially because so many restaurants have stopped offering that as it's gotten colder. If you want to satisfy your craving for some low key French favorites, look no further!!

Jose F.

Yelp
I gave it 1 star because you need to choose something before posting. This place has rude service and the food is below quality. This place used to owned by a French couple; they clearly sold it. They waitress seemed annoyed that I was asking about their desserts. The crepes were clearly premade. The original owners use to make them fresh. I don't know who owns this place now, but I now understand why it was empty on a Saturday night and why it has 3 stars. People have left the same reviews again and again. I should have looked at yelp before waisting my money. Never again!

Charmaine P.

Yelp
Meli Melo is a staple in Greenwich! Been coming here for reviews and it's still amazing as the first time I went. There's usually a line and a little bit of a wait on the weekends but it's always worth it! Service is fast and the staff works fast to keep everyone happy.

Abbe K.

Yelp
This local favorite is located on a corner just off Greenwich Ave. The food is fresh and the decor bright and welcoming. It offers a variety of salads, homemade soups, sandwiches and fruit smoothies and blended juices. The prices for the former are on par with NYC while the drink prices are a bit high for the amount you get (and that you can see that they put pennies worth of veggies and fruits into the "vitamix"-like blenders). Today I opted for the homemade granola and yogurt, instead of the usual salad. The granola was very tasty with chunks of dried fruit and a sprinkle of coconut and the yogurt had just a hint of sour. The crepes were filled and flavorful. A place to return to, although I will make my juice drink at home.

Sarah M.

Yelp
Amazing food! The ambience was perfect too and the service was great. I highly recommend

michael K.

Yelp
2 stars because the food was good. The service was unacceptable. We ordered juice, onion soup, egg white omelette and ham and cheese croissant. The juice and soup came out promptly. I waited 20-25 mins for the sandwich and omelette to be brought, but at the same time Two other tables got there food and were seated after me. One table had omelette and ham sandwich the other a salad and sandwich. When it was brought to the attention of the staff they were unaware of the problem. This will be a first and last for me

Randall M.

Yelp
I make a yearly trip to Greenwich to do a lengthy bicycle loop. After I'm done I stop into Meli-Melo for a bite. There aren't many options for casual dining in Greenwich, but this one is excellent. Meli serves soups, salads, sandwiches, and crepe's. Everything is delicious and it is not expensive. The couple who run Meli are very nice as well. I think that they could franchise this business and make a fortune. And maybe buy a home on Round Hill Road.

M X.

Yelp
I'm giving three stars because all the workers were really nice and attentive. However, the food is lacking. I had the Parma crepe and it was just mozzarella cheese and slices of tomato in a wheat tortilla that was toasted/microwaved. This was not a crepe and it was not good. The prosciutto was two slices on top in the center wrapped around a dainty mesclun salad. They have nerve to charge $18.50 for this. I've had many crepes and this was definitely not one. My husband had the turkey club but they ran out of turkey so they said they could do it with grilled chicken instead (their suggestion and offering of replacement for the day) the chicken was a thick slice of cold cut chicken that they grilled. It was extremely dry and chewy.

SL J.

Yelp
Sept17 '22 Love this family favorite. However after 3rd try of refrigerated 1/2 dozen macarons, (they were $17. for 6 ) that had lost their taste, were also dried out as well. Big disappointment.

Dan G.

Yelp
Really surprised how awful our breakfast was. We have been here before and had a nice experience. Today was terrible. Everything was wayyyy over-cooked. Omelet - dried out, crepes - crunchy dry. The chef clearly had no idea how to cook. Sent back the omelet and specifically asked that it be prepared soft. It came back dried out again with burnt edges. Unreal. Service was terrible as well. Waitress never came by unless we raised our hand. Had to get up twice to get her attention. It wasn't even busy and they had plenty of staff. She had a poor attitude and could not care less about serving us. Meli-Melo - is off the list.

Susie O.

Yelp
We adore MELI Melo! Their food is great so so is their service. We especially love their natural juices.

Katherine B.

Yelp
Really great food! Friendly service, lots of options and very accommodating with allergies or food preferences. Prices are reasonable-especially for Greenwich. A fabulous place for breakfast, brunch, lunch or a smoothie. It can get busy though so be prepared to wait.

Stephen B.

Yelp
I arrived early before opening time to visit the Apple Store located next to Meli-Melo so I decided to get a bite to eat at Meli-Melius. The restaurant, which has a comfortable casual ambiance and friendly service, has an excellent selection of very healthy food and drinks at reasonable prices. I really enjoyed my visit and will definitely be back for more.

Alec B.

Yelp
Meli-Melo had a surprisingly lengthy menu of crepes (sweet and savory) and even different options for those in need of gluten-free. For my lunch special, I chose the Brie and Herb crepe which was very light/tasty but wasn't very visually appealing. My partner had the crab stuffed crepe which he loved and we tried some ginger iced tea and a mimosa. All in all, the food was unique and tasty though a bit overpriced. Would come back for sure to try other options!

Derrick S.

Yelp
Waited over 15 minutes to receive this, overpriced and not worth it, the smoothies are good but stay away from these bowls.

Samantha V.

Yelp
Such a great place to grab something quick and healthy! Went for a quick lunch since everything is reopening and they have plenty of outdoor seating. They have such an extensive menu of juices and food that almost anyone can find something they'd like!

Mercedes C.

Yelp
I can only write a review based on my quick in & out visits here. Either grabbing a smoothie or calling ahead for a lunch take out order and heading straight to work. I have to be honest in saying that Meli-Melo's Smoothie & Juice menu does look appealing on paper- but I can't say the same for taste. My favorite Smoothie cafe just shut down, so I resorted to Meli and another location. Smoothies are well blended, unfortunately, fruits don't mesh well (for me) and are kind of dull in taste. Lunch here is very tasty, though. Beware--because you're going to get an insane rush of people which I don't particularly care for. But I like the food selections here. I particularly like that Meli's website highlights the entire menu. No gimmicks here. There are lots of meat and Seafood options as well as Vegetarian and Vegan options as well. Prices are nice and service has always been good.

Ashling M.

Yelp
Love this restaurant! Whenever my parents come to visit, we always make a stop here. Great breakfast and lunch foods. Everything is so fresh! Personal favorite: the homemade tomato pesto soup!

Marisa N.

Yelp
always enjoyed going here but recently the service has been awful.. rude and with attitude. Waited 20 minutes for someone to finally take our order (after we called for someone) even though it was not a busy day. The servers were all just standing around in a corner and looked annoyed when we asked to order. Not happy with our last visit.
