We recently stayed at the Melia for 2 weeks. Our son Charlie is in a wheelchair and the staff really when over and above to make everything as comfortable as possible for us. |On check in, the receptionist allocated us a room within the 1st 4 floors meaning we had the option of an additional smaller elevator during busy periods which was a great help. |The room was good. Standard family room but the beds were huge and comfortable. Nice balcony looking over the pool. |The hotel is set back from the nightlight so once the entertainment stops at night the noise is fairy minimal. |We were only on bed and breakfast, but the breakfast was good, we don’t really eat much hot food at breakfast, but there was plenty available for everyone. |My only remark would be some more vibrant ingredients for the fresh omelettes, it all looked quite grey and unappetising. ||The best bit about the hotel? The pool by far. We’ve stayed at the Sol Pelicanos but in my opinion this pool is so much better. The setting is stunning, it’s clean, and plenty of options depth wise. My son can walk a little in water and this was perfect for him. |They have a great rule with regards to the sun beds which stops people reserving them first thing and leaving them for the day, it works really well. |The manager was lovely, so kind and always passed us a pool woggle in the morning when we were having an early swim. ||The entertainment team and aqua aerobics were also great, this is the first time my son was ever invited to join in with the kids club. Although it wasn’t suitable for his needs, it was still nice to be asked. ||The hotel obviously attracts a nice clientele, all the other guests were so friendly. ||Drinks are really good and very reasonably priced. ||Thank you Meliá, we have just booked to return again next year.
