"There’s a pleasing bit of cognitive dissonance happening at Meliá Hanoi. Housed within a green-glass, part-cylindrical tower, the hotel tempers sleek European-style hospitality (think streamlined gray and cream furnishings and high-tech amenities like flat-screen TVs and satellite channels) with touches of local influence: depictions of pagodas and traditional gateways figure in giant murals along the walls and central column in the lobby, and lantern-inspired pendant lighting hangs in the guest rooms. The hotel sits in theHoan Kiem district, within walking distance of the lake and the Old Quarter, making it an ideal base for urban exploration, but there’s also plenty on site to keep you occupied, from the Mediterranean buffet and the palm-fringed outdoor swimming pool to the fitness center and Marquee Club, anighttime haunt that attracts young Hanoians intent on drinking and dancing into the wee hours."

Stayed here for six nights and really enjoyed my stay. Check in was quick and smooth, with a private area separate from the main reception. The room was spacious with a good desk for work, and came with a fruit basket, free laundry and access to snacks and drinks throughout the day. There were plenty of halal food options, the staff were very attentive and the location was perfect, right in the heart of the city. The gym was large and well equipped, though the pool was a bit small. Overall, a great experience and highly recommended for both business and leisure travellers.

What a wonderful hotel. Staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive. Breakfast has excellent variety and quality. Location is excellent too. Rooms and amenities are clean and functional. Stay here if you want a comfortable stay that helps you relax and unwind from the hustle and bustle of the city. Can’t go wrong here. Highly recommended!

My stay was absolutely wonderful. From the moment i arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and professional. The room was clean, spacious, and had all the amenities i needed for a comfortable stay. I also enjoyed the breakfast buffet which had a great variety. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area.

Had a fantastic experience here as a Melia Gold member, the staff was very attentive but the room cleaners really stood out and did a fantastic job! I would like to thank Tengchan for her warm and welcoming attitude when I arrived on my floor. The gym is very well equipped and the location is great, also if you are looking for more basic local food options. Another highlight is the live jazz music twice a week in the lobby, what a talented singer! As it may be useful to know, note that the WiFi is sufficiently fast to do proper remote working using Teams video calls etc. All in all a great experience!

All they want is tips but the quality of service is really bad. I had lunch in their main restaurant on a Saturday afternoon. There was no other guest in the restaurant (as they are probably infamous for their bad service). The waitress serving us was grumpy and did not understand basic English. There is no porter to pick your luggage, they charge for drinking water in the room as well as restaurant, the receptionist barely understands english and staff expects tips for this lack of basic courteousness. The food was also average in taste and below average in value. It seems their staff lacks motivation to work.

We had a truly memorable stay at Meliá Hanoi! The hotel is elegant and peaceful, with spacious, clean rooms and excellent service. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and well taken care of. A special shout-out to the chef, who went above and beyond to make our stay super delicious! The breakfast spread was amazing every day, and what truly touched us was how the chef personally accommodated our little one’s food needs — preparing dishes like white sauce pasta exactly the way we requested. That kind of attention and care really made a difference for us as a family. The hotel’s location is quite central, though the Old Quarter is a bit farther, so we usually took a cab to get there. But taxis were easy to find and affordable. The in-house facilities — pool, spa, and restaurants — were top-notch. The hotel provided a calm retreat after busy days exploring Hanoi. Highly recommend Meliá Hanoi, especially for families looking for comfort, great food, and thoughtful service.

One of the best hotels in Hanoi! I absolutely loved everything here — from the cozy room, excellent restaurant, and vibrant bar to the outstanding event services. The staff are professional, attentive, and make every experience special. Highly recommended! 🌟

Rooms are good sized, but the sound of the other rooms can be heard very easily and are very disturbing. People talking normally from other rooms can be heard, maybe through the vents. Hard to sleep at night even. During daytime lots of construction drilling noise. Even normal hotels have are more peaceful rooms. Could be much better for that kinda of price. Food is okay. Staff and location services was good.
