Meliá Plaza

This hotel felt more like a three star than a four star. The location is very ideal - not far from any of the key sites in Valencia, but the entire place felt very dated. When we first arrived we had booked a room with a terrace - when we got up to see it we found it to be even more dated than the lobby appeared and with not enough room for even one of our suitcases. We were able to upgrade to a bigger room but we lost the terrace and paid extra and it was still quite cramped. The rooms are also not well sound proofed - we could hear everything the people next to us and above us were doing making each night’s sleep a little rough.

Fantastic location in the partly pedestrianised Plaza del Ayuntamiento, 5 minutes walk away from the train station and surrounded by shops, restaurants and bars. Very comfortable, spotless room, with good noise reduction. Nice lobby coffee bar and traditional tapas bar downstairs. Perfect for visiting the historical and very pretty Valencia centre.

First up the hotel is perfectly located centrally in Valencia overlooking a beautiful square and only a short walk from key areas such as market and Cathedral. Friendly and helpful service with a nice lobby bar area. Room we had was really comfortable with a balcony that looked across the square. Room was well appointed, quiet, and very clean making for a relaxed place to stay. Serviced by two lifts made room access easy especially if you had a lot of luggage like us! Overall feeling of this hotel was friendly and welcoming.

Beautiful hotel in the center of Valencia! Stayed for three nights and was extremely pleased with the hotel. Very helpful and friendly staff. Hope to return some day.

Great hotel in the heart of Valencia. Booked a premium room. Was disappointed that it did not have a private bathroom. The shower was in the bedroom. Staff at this hotel are fantastic. Very helpful.

Perfect location to explore Valencia. But they didnt recognize me as a long term member and the rooms are very noisy. After 8am impossible to still have some sleep.

The location of the hotel is perfect for travellers who want to walk around to explore Valencia on foot. There are plenty of café; restaurants and souvenir shops nearby. The shopping square is also just a few blocks away. The room is clean and bed is comfortable, we took the metro from airport and needed just 6 minutes to reach the hotel from the metro station.

Good 4* hotel in a great location. When staying in a city location isn’t everything but it’s vital. The Melia is probably on the best location in the cities old town. Hotel itself is a good standard rooms were spacious and well appointed perfect for a break in the city. Staff were friendly and very helpful. There is a breakfast area which we didn’t use and also a small roof terrace with good views over the square. I have no issues recommending the hotel when staying in the city.

Reviewing this place on here since there aren't any reviews ...! I thought it was a great hotel to stay in... comfortable rooms, perfect location, although the bedroom set makes it look a bit outdated, the bed is extremely comfortable.... And it does have great AC, and wonderful bathrooms (awesome hairdryer) but most of all, and the reason I took the time to make this review a week after my stay, is because the wonderful employees. From all of the gentleman in the receptionist area to the bar tenders, this staff makes you feel incredibly comfortable. We checked out and left for the day, they stored our luggage and even let us shower in the gym once we got back. I don't have pictures of this place, but I recommend it, as well as its downstairs restaurant... the food was delicious especially the paella valenciana. If you're like me and enjoy good well located hotels, then don't hesitate on this one!

The hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating. You have to drive on the sidewalk to park to unload your luggage and that was unique. Parking in an empty taxi spot in front of the hotel will get you yelled at by the taxi drivers. The room we had was nice and included an espresso machine. No iron or ironing board in the room but I'm going to ask the front desk about that. The hotel offers breakfast in the lower level (below street level where the restaurant is) and it's 19€ per person and totally not worth it. There are plenty of street cafes around and I recommend you try them. The hotel has below ground parking at 22€ a day. The free WiFi is a joke and totally worthless. If you need WiFi walk down the street to the Hard Rock Cafe.
