"Programming at this well-landscaped Puerto Vallarta resort in Marina Vallarta is largely geared towards families. The kids' club is a major draw—they host plenty of events for kids and teens, from craft workshops to sports tournaments to pool activities—but programming extends to other parts of the resort, too, such as milk and cookies in your room. Adults and children alike can enjoy other resort amenities like the lagoon-style pool, tennis courts, a rock-climbing wall, and an archery range. For adults, there are plenty of wellness offerings, too, from the spa to yoga and stretching classes."

Excellent location! Steps to the beach and short walk to the Marina. Room was great apart from a small maintenance issue in the bathroom that was never successfully fixed. Service was amazing most especially Roberto and Teresa (waiters) in the buffet restaurant. Guadalupe, the front manager, is lovely. There is a bit of an issue with 'saving' loungers at the pool, but that is the same at every resort. Loved water aerobics with Alexandra. This was our fourth visit and we will be back.

First time ever coming to Mexico and it was the greatest experience. This resort made our stay so much fun and we couldn’t be happier. The hotel was always so clean and the rooms were always taken care of better than we could have done ourselves! The food was amazing and the restaurants were so good the fish house was definitely my favourite 10/10 for sure! We are already planning our next trip back. 100/10 experience

We enjoyed our stay at the Melia, Guadalupe, the hotel manager runs this hotel like a well oiled machine. The food is very good, loved the Mexican restaurant and our server there, Gama. He is attentive to every need. The rooms are very clean and has great water pressure. Eddie at the pool bar makes great drinks and is very hard working and friendly. He made out stay great. This is the best spot to see whales off the coast. They were so close to our hotel shore and put in a show. Hotel is close to cute coffee shops, a books store, and a farmers market in Thursdays that is walkable. Very safe area. Everyone is kind and we did not feel hustled for extra services at all. The only recommendation is more pool games. Overall great stay.

First time at an all inclusive in years. The Melia is a great location. Rooms are clean, but could use some updates. Breakfast and lunch were great. Supper not so much Staff were a hit and miss. It appeared that some were not happy in their job. We ate at the Mexican restaurant, it was terrible, from service to food. That being said, I would go back just not anytime soon.

Our week holiday at this resort was very relaxing. Clean and comfortable with good service. The pool was a great place to kick back with a book. At other resorts the music can be excessively loud at the pool, but at this resort it was only turned up during activities. To be honest I was not amazed with the food, but generally ok. I would have liked to have seen more Mexican food overall and makings for tacos, burritos and fajitas I would expect to go to this resort again in the future.

I liked the hotel, the beach access and the dance lessons with Betty. The outdoor shows were very good too, a band and dancing very authentic. The food is amazing as well, plenty of options and it all tastes great. Very nice pool with lots of chairs and a swim up bar as well as many regular ones. Great vacation spot

We had a long day of travel to get to the Melia. While checking in, I passed out at the reception desk. The porter staff, Louis, Carlos and especially Ramon were so helpful. They brought medical help, made sure I was okay and then wheeled me to my room. They made a frightening experience, okay. While here we ate in every dining facility but our favorite was the Mole and Taco. The food was excellent, a truly gourmet experience. The view from the room of the ocean was ideal. I would return here again and would recommend for anyone! Thank you Melia staff for taking care of us!

Overall really nice stay. Traveled with my 9 month old, 4 year old and husband and it was a great family spot, with lots of other families. ||Things to improve on: The hot food was a bit oily for my preference, but there were enough options to eat a huge variety of things without having too much of the hot bar. Beds started to feel hard by the last night, but I didn't notice at first. Air freshener in the lobby and public bathrooms could be a bit much (part way through the trip, I think all the air fresheners got recharged and I started to really notice after that), but these were easy enough to avoid. None of these things were a problem, I am just highlighting what was different than my normal lifestyle and personal preferences. ||There were TONS of options for food in the buffet. Fresh ceviche every day for lunch (YUM!). We had really nice experiences in both of the a la carte restaurants. ||The staff were so kind and excellent. The pool and beach were great. Definitely recommend this hotel. ||A number of toys we left unattended went missing pretty quickly, but the hotel can't control the other guests. It was hard to keep track of everything with an excited 4 year old and a baby. ||Our room didn't have a coffee machine, but we requested one and it came right away!
