The Best All-Inclusive Resorts in Mexico, Starting at Less Than $300 a Night

"Programming at this well-landscaped Puerto Vallarta resort in Marina Vallarta is largely geared towards families. The kids' club is a major draw—they host plenty of events for kids and teens, from craft workshops to sports tournaments to pool activities—but programming extends to other parts of the resort, too, such as milk and cookies in your room. Adults and children alike can enjoy other resort amenities like the lagoon-style pool, tennis courts, a rock-climbing wall, and an archery range. For adults, there are plenty of wellness offerings, too, from the spa to yoga and stretching classes."

From first check in, meeting our hotel manager and staff our first impressions were very impressed. No timeshare bullying or selling of any kind which was a relief, we were offered a nice cool drink as we checked in. Our room number was 2706 we were here from Aug 25 - Sep 1. This room had to be the best room i think we could have got it had both excellent views of the beautiful gardens and stunning view of the ocean. |The gardens pond has little and large turtles swimming around and the wildlife around the grounds were such a nice addition and fun to see and observe. Nightly entertainment was fantastic, not for everyone but for me very entertaining. The beach is kept nice and clean with plenty of shaded seating. The pool was a very nice temperature and very clean, they also had some fun pool entertainment everyday. The restaurants we didn't really get to try out at night apart from Mole and tacos, which was really nice and the service was impeccable, couldn't get reservations for the others and thats really down to myself being on vacation and on no time schedule i slept in late most mornings so I'd advise reserving tables asap. Location was great for being close to airport and marina which was a really nice walk also shout out to chappys bar is cool.|If i had to knit pic faults id say maybe bring in some fans for the bar area when it gets really hot and humidity is high. |Again if you want to party hard go downtown this is not the place, if you want to relax and unwind this is the place to go. |Loved it and will be back next year.|Larry.

Beautiful resort. Grounds are maintained hourly. Exceptional staff. Would like to acknowledge some very extraordinary staff members. Antonio-guest service manager, Montse-guest services, Alberto-guest service, Bernie-Melia rewards, Jonito-tocos and mole server, Brenda-tacos and moles, Karen-tocos and moles, Monsi-Tauro, Brandon and Hector-check-in, Jose-pool and cabana, Roman. Each one of these people went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. We want to thank each of them with much appreciation!! PS, must try new restaurant "TAURO" it is fantastic and service is top notch. ||

My family and I (8 people) visited the hotel from the Netherlands. We stayed 19 days and got treated with a lot of care and attention. Our new amigos Alberto Sandobal and Javier from guest Service made sure we received undivited attention and helped us with all of our questions. Christian (bartender) made us the most delicious coctails and was very friendly. Roberto (the Chef) was very nice and went as far as preparing chicken for us at the snackbar, just because we don't eat read meat or pork. Also many thanks to Brenda, Hugo,Ignacio, Francisco, Diana, Carolina, for going to great lengths to accommadate our family. We had a great holiday and will certainly visit u again in the future!

We recently stayed at the Melia and had a wonderful experience overall. The service across the resort was top-notch, and the staff truly made our vacation memorable. Special shout-out to Juan, our pool waiter, who was absolutely amazing. He was friendly, prompt, and went out of his way to make sure our entire family was always comfortable and taken care of. His attention to detail and warm personality really stood out — he quickly became a favorite part of our day by the pool. At the Fish House Restaurant, we were equally impressed. Fermin provided exceptional service and took it to the next level by personally going to another restaurant just to get me a Caesar Salad. That kind of dedication and care is rare and deeply appreciated. We also enjoyed the food and atmosphere at Mole and Tacos Restaurant — the cuisine was flavorful and authentic, and the staff were just as welcoming and attentive as everywhere else on the resort. Overall, while the resort itself could benefit from some upgrades and refreshing, the cleanliness and layout were still solid. What the property may lack in modern touches, it more than makes up for with outstanding service and a genuinely friendly, hardworking team. Would definitely recommend Melia for families or couples looking for a relaxing getaway with exceptional hospitality. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Probably the worst bed I have ever tried to sleep on. A slab of wood may have been more comfortable. I even took the "mattress" off of the bunk bed to try to soften it a bit. The room never got cool enough to even get under a sheet. I took cool to cold showers just to try to bring my core temperature down in hopes I wouldn't sweat all night. I had to move the chair in direct path of the AC vent just to try to get some semblance of cool / comfort. ||||Overall, the staff was awesome and the food was decent but overall to trip was killed by my lack of sleep.

Melia |Puerto Vallarta|Aug 5 -12, 2025|Check in went great in a separate area for those coming thru RCI. Only glitch was the AI rate had increased (I think they should have honored the price I booked it at) but they upgrade our room due to that factor. We were given room 1426. It was a nice, but dated 1 bedroom unit with 2 bathrooms. Bed was very comfortable, pillows were okay. The room was clean and spacious with a great ocean view and a jacuzzi on the balcony. It served our purposes despite being quite dated. Lots of closet space, a safe, mini frig., and other necessary kitchen items. There were two good sized Tv’s in room but barely no English channels. |Anything high end had an extra charge be it at restaurants or wherever. So it is, Limited Drinks in mini bar, sodas water etc. but you could ask g=for more, with a charge. Not fond of that game.|Our luggage took a long time to arrive at our room but it did eventually. The bellmen were nice and there is free on-site, uncovered parking and plenty of it. It is a secure resort. |They have lots to do besides eat and swim in ocean or pool. Like Ping pong tables, pool tables, Kayaking, boogie boards, a nice kids club, nice lounge for nighttime. The beach is small but plenty of palapas, pool side with shade is a premium. The save the chair game is alive and well. Service is really slow by the pool to non-existent. There can be long lines at pool bar but they are nice. There is a self-serve snack bar at pool. |There are some maintenance issues we noted but overall, well kept. Sure, would have liked an ice machine but none to be found. ||The staff at the restaurants are friendly and efficient but it is apparent they are understaffed thus working like crazy. All were friendly and helpful to us and we met our friend from another resort, Brenda, who is an amazing restaurant manager and makes everything run smoothly. She truly took great care of us and everyone. ||The buffet meals were surprisingly quite good, clean and replenished, refreshed often. Lots of variety with decent flavor. The sit-down restaurant The Fish House, was great, Excellent options, great flavor and nice presentation overall along with great service especially by Xochil ( sp) our waitress. We never made it to the other sit-down restaurant.|Overall, our experience with the food and All Inclusive was better than expected, Brenda and her team played a part in that. ||We were happy with our stay and certainly would and will stay again. |We actually are booked again in October and looking forward to it. |The checkout process was a breeze.

Went with my boys for the trip. The food is solid and the amenities are nice. Definitely not as luxury as it could be but still good. The staff are kind and accommodating. Cassandra and Melany in the entertainment staff were great. There are a lot of activities to do.

If they can give a 0 star, i would put that because that's what they deserve. The service was just awful everywhere! Tried to get beer or regular drinks and it never got there. The staff were extremely rude and didn't acknowledge us. The rooms were disgusting and dirty. I wouldn't recommend anyone to come here. Spend a little bit more money and get yourself and good vacation. And not a waste your time and money.
