My husband and I spent 5 days 4 nights at Meliá punta Cana beach for vacation August 2025. The resort itself is beautiful and grounds extremely well kept. The pool is huge, the beach area was gorgeous, tons of palm trees for shade, chairs and lounges. The room was spacious and clean. We were paired with a personal concierge, *Gilberto* who really went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable. He was extremely communicative, punctual and gave us great recommendations. You must have WHATSAPP, as that what everyone uses to text on the island. Gilberto really made us feel like a part of his family. All the rest of the staff was incredibly friendly as well. ||I *highly* recommend you upgrade to “THE LEVEL” which includes a ton of private space and activities. The private restaurant had by far the best food at the resort (a la Cart, breakfast lunch and dinner) it also includes a cool rooftop bar with live music every night. In addition to the general pool, there is a private pool and beach bar for LEVEL members as well as large reserved beach area, and one hour hydrotherapy included each day. It was 100000% worth it. || The reason for the 4 star rating instead of 5 is that general buffets had very average food. They had a lot Of items that were stale, some Desserts were inedible, meats overcooked. Additionally, our AC would Not go lower than 74 F. We even looked at a bunch of other rooms that had even worse AC function. I think this is not a big deal for most people, but if you need it cold to sleep well, this may not be the best resort for you. Lastly, this is a wellness resort and although I didn’t get a chance to do their many classes, they had an amazing gym next to the pool, and the environment was extremely relaxing.|No crazy Bach parties or college kids, which was nice.
