had an excellent experience at Otavio, and a big part of that was thanks to Ronny Belicea. From the moment we sat down, Ronny was attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. He knew the menu well, gave great recommendations, and made sure everything came out perfectly. What really stood out was his attitude — friendly without being intrusive, and always one step ahead of what we needed. It’s rare to find service that feels both relaxed and high-level at the same time. Ronny truly elevated the entire dining experience. If you visit Otavio, I highly recommend asking for him. You won’t be disappointed.

We just returned from a 10-day stay at the Meliá Adults Only Resort in Punta Cana, and the highlight of our trip was without a doubt the incredible staff at the Elyxr Bar. From the very first day, they greeted us with warm smiles, genuine kindness, and the kind of attentive service that makes you feel truly cared for. Every member of the team was cordial, friendly, and impressively efficient. Whether it was remembering our favorite drinks, checking in on how our day was going, or simply sharing a laugh. They consistently went above and beyond. Over the course of our stay, they didn't just serve us—they became our friends. It's rare to find a group of people who make you feel so welcome and appreciated, and we're already looking forward to seeing them again next year. The staff here are the reason why people love this place. The customer service is exceptional. The nicest and happiest people I’ve ever met. Mr. Wonder and Mr. Alejandro Soriano are the best bartenders and honestly such great human beings. They made me and my best friend feel so welcome. Jeffrey from the entertainment side is such a kind human being, can dance and really make the people get out of their comfort zone and dance! Maribel is a bartender who was so great with us as well. All the cart service men were great too. Made sure to take us back and forth safely to our rooms and lobby. DJ Carlos played great music and could spin. The cleaning staff work so hard to make the rooms look clean. We appreciate all that they did for us. PLEASE if you come here, pick up after yourself and treat these great people with respect and tip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Make sure you look for Jose Carela at the breakfast Buffett he is a sweetheart! Mateo was an amazing server !! This resort and the staff are so amazing 😍 stop in to see Rebecca at guest services she is the best of the best. We have also been enjoying many activities here, coconut oil workshop, macrome, chocolate face mask and mud mask.. all run professional and truly enjoy learning new things... Yoga has also been fun 😊

The bar staff ( Radalis, Ramone and William from the fresco pool bar) at this hotel were outstanding. From the moment I sat down, they were friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Drinks were made perfectly—especially the mojito, which was one of the best I’ve had. Service was quick without feeling rushed, and the team clearly takes pride in what they do. They created such a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere. A real credit to the hotel—thank you for a great experience!

Yadenny from the entertainment team invited me to play volleyball and I had a lot of fun. She made my brother and me laugh a lot. Without a doubt, a good experience. Rafal Nadal Pickleball was fun too. Play at night. The bars are good too. Candina Manzanillo was a server too as well as bartender. 👍

My friends and I stayed at this resort for 4 nights just recently. Our experience overall was pleasant for the price that we paid, approximately $650 per person for 4 nights. That being said, you get what you pay for, and I would not have been pleased had we spent over 1000 for this experience. Overall, the location and resort were beautiful. However, multiple points of service issues caused frustration among our group. Firstly, the drinks are made weak and very very slow. At the bar, the staff moves so slowly in that it could take 10 minutes just to get a drink. Most of our drinks didn't taste like there was alcohol in them at all and we believed this was intentional on the resorts part. Further, the resort advertises things that are simply not true. It's marketed as a "wellness" resort and as such it states you get a FREE spa credit for any service. However upon check-in, they tell you it is not free and instead you get a $20 coupon to use for the services that are around $155+ USD. About the rooms, they're nice and clean, but the beds are NOT queen size, if anything they're a bit bigger than a twin, so don't think you're getting 2 queens in a room. Also, we asked for Champagne to be sent to our room as well, and instead we received multiple wine bottles with no wine opener. We accepted this and requested a wine opener to be sent to us as well, but that request was ignored so we did not open the wine. Later, the hotel charged us for the wine bottles and told us we "should've told them earlier". If you don't pay extra for the level experience, you only have access to 2 restaurants on the resort, which they tell you you need to book the day of. However, when my friends actually tried to book a table for a restaurant for 8 on the day, they then said we actually needed to book 2 DAYS in advance and that they couldn't accommodate a big table anyways. This was very frustrating, and we had to book 2 separate reservations at different times. When we decided to all show up to talk to the hostess and try to get into our reservation at the same time, we were accommodated very easily. This just shows we wasted our time with the reservation in the first place. You also have only one buffet for dinner, and one buffet for breakfast/lunch, which gets repetitive after a few days, but overall the food was good. However, the options for late night food and snacks and drinks is extremely minimal. The issue with the resort is you never really know what you're getting, but if you're not fussy and just want a pretty place to drink and eat with friends then this is your go to.

Our food and drinks came out perfectly timed, and Ronny made sure everything was exactly how we wanted it. His positive attitude and professionalism really elevated the entire visit. We’ll definitely be back, and we hope to have Ronny as our server again.
