Meliá Sol y Nieve

Very pleased overall after a week staying here with my family. Excellent location right next to the ski lifts, which made getting on and off the mountain very easy. The hotel is very kids-friendly, with a children’s spa and organised activities, which our kids enjoyed. That said, activities are only in the afternoon and children under 5 need to be accompanied by an adult, which felt like a small gap. Rooms are nice and clean although small specially if you are fitting 4 people. The restaurant was good in terms of food quality, although we struggled to get a single table for our group of 13 and had to split across tables. Overall, a great family hotel in Sierra Nevada and we would happily return.

Love this hotel! Been twice and always have amazing service, the food is great, location is probably the best in Sierra Nevada. You do have to pay for parking but it’s worth it! Would highly recommend for families!

Parking is charged 26€ per night for hotel guests. Saturday evening is extremely loud unit 21h and then the noise continues because there’s practically no sound isolation. The spa is overbooked and no way to get there. You try calling a day in advance but the line does not work. The food was ok, no complaints there but nothing was marked with proper allergen info (gluten sign missing everywhere). For the price of night we were expecting much more. The water was brown in the shower when we just started it.

Had a lovely stay at Melia Sol Y Nieve the staff were all very friendly and tentative throughout, lovely Spa (maybe the Jacuzzi got be hotter) but other than no complaints, great location too

Quite the deception for a 4 star hotel. - Advertisement is all based on their spa. Safe to say that we were shocked to hear that to enjoy the spa, we’d have to pay an extra 30€ per person + 3€ for hair cap each, on top of our 250€ / night, for a maximum of 1 hour and 30 minutes. After that time is up, the spa shuts down and you are invited to leave. Moreover, the water in the jacuzzi (“hot” tub) and other pools is lukewarm and you just end up being cold. There’s just one hot bath, big enough for 4 people max. - We came to the hotel by car, we got offered for the car to be parked and were greeted with the bill the next day, after check out, when we got the car back. 45€ for a day and a half of parking. - Rooms were small, 250€ for the night. Not worth it. - Breakfast food was of bad quality but diverse options to choose from. - Restaurant was okay (beef stew was good) and service was good, granted we were the only people there. - Location was the only plus point Wouldn’t recommend and certainly won’t return.

Superb hotel right in the heart of the resort. Ideal location - 2 mins walk to the ski lift. Valet parking was a welcome surprise, concierge organised ski rental at a very good price. Service was excellent, lots of delicious food choice in the restaurant (half board recommended). Spa was incredible (payable locally at a discounted price). Overall this is one of the best ski hotels I’ve stayed in.

We stayed 4 nights in this very nice hotel in the centre of the resort, close to the ski lifts. It was so clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The buffet breakfast was superb, both in the quality and the quantity of the food. The ski locker area in the basement was clean and easily accessible. Can't praise it enough really - we'd definitely go back.

Fantastic hotel right on the ski lifts. We booked half-board and both the breakfast and dinner buffet are huge, fresh and great quality. Family friendly staff with great attitude and attention to detail. Fun kids club. Very nice gym and spa area. Warmly recommended for a premium ski holiday!
