Booked into a Premium room for 3 nights. The room immediately looked tired and old. The blinds weren’t in working order and the seats in the room were very uncomfortable which is disappointing for a 5-star hotel. The mattress was as hard as a rock and needed us to organise for a mattress topper. It is clear that the room was tired and very dated and in need of renovation. Perhaps that’s why they haven’t addressed some basic issues. Also note that rooms don’t all include toiletries, slippers or bathrobes. There is also no iron or ironing board. On the plus side, hotel staff were always willing to assist and do what they could to make our stay enjoyable, sometimes going out of their way to do so. Also note that the restaurant is closed on Mondays, and making reservation is recommended or you may miss out. The skybar was somewhat disappointing as well - although they have many options for spirits and cocktails they only offer one red and one white wine. So if you’re a wine drinker not a good choice.

The hotel reception staff charged the stay to my personal credit card, which was given to them only to book the deposit. I was told that the deposit would be given unblocked after I finished my stay without further charges. The reservation was done with my company's business card, and yet they used my own personal one for the payment. This is not ok. Also, the waiting time in reception sometimes was too long and one receptionist attended clients that clearly skipped the line in front of everyone. Breakfast was great. Mattress was great.

This hotel is super impressive and the rooms are stunning! This hotel certainly has the wow factor and when you walk in you instantly feel it! The train station is a 5 minute walk away and then it takes 10 minutes to get into the centre by train which are every 6 minutes. It was husband’s birthday whilst we were there and they really helped me make it special for him by decorating the room and leaving a birthday cake for him. This hotel definitely comes recommended!

The room was spotless, wonderfully spacious, and offered a breathtaking view. The staff were truly exceptional—an easy 10/10. Both the reception team and the restaurant staff working over the weekend went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. The only small downside is that it’s a bit of a far walk from the metro, thats why 4 stars for location, but the outstanding service and overall experience more than made up for it. Absolutely recommended!

Quick one night stay. Front desk was friendly upon check-in. She was able to answer all my questions. Fast and easy process since I prepaid online for the stay. Used the public parking garage which we paid directly and not with the hotel since we wanted in and out access. Asked for a higher floor but she explained the higher rooms available at that time didn’t have great views. We opted for level 5 and the view was very nice. We got one of the newly renovated rooms. Very clean and modern. Everything was in working condition. Absolutely no complaints. Used the fitness center during my stay. Small but they had the equipment I needed. I was grateful they offered water, towels, and apples. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Google
Excellent hotel overall, perfect for execs. Especially if you are at an event at ACV - it's a 5 minute walk away. Large rooms, blackout curtains, coffee and mini fridges in rooms, comfortable showers. Level rooms are not on the same floor as the Level lounge - you'll have to go to lobby and take another elevator. But worth it for the views :)

This hotel is way below expectations. There were issues everywhere, looks like management wasn't on top of things. For example, one of the rooms the bathroom wasn't cleaned, we had to clean the toilet ourselves. The service at the bar was also very limited, they didn't even know the difference between a beer and a Radler. Ordering something at breakfast takes forever if you get it at all. When I contacted Management, die told me that the doing a great job and that they. have all sorts of controls in place to ensure quality. I guess that didn't take my feedback serious . I would definitely not recommend this place. This is more like a three-star hotel.

I stayed with my family in the Level Deluxe Room. The room was really clean with the beautiful view. I really appreciate front office manager, assistant front office manager, bellboy, housekeeping, hostess and the team that made our stay unforgettable. Our dinner and breakfast at Altia Restaurant were marvellous. It's highly recommended to visit the Altia Restaurant and Sky Bar. We are very pleased and thankful for such an excellent service and attention of management and the whole team.

Yelp
Avoid this place at all costs. 1. It fails to live up to its location. It's near the convention center, and not near the old town. Therefore, you would expect that when there is a convention in town, the hotel would be prepared to accommodate it. You would be wrong. The restaurants and bar were consistently understaffed. One night, I waited a total of two hours for a cheeseburger and a beer. Seriously, it took an hour an 15 minutes to get the beer! 2. The hotel is not flexible with reservation changes, even when given advance notice. When we checked in, we noted that our check-out date was incorrect; we would be checking out a day early. This was three days in advance of our check-out, but the hotel still made us pay for the extra night. Other colleagues I was traveling with had similar errors in their reservation that the hotel would not accommodate. 3. The buffet breakfast was overcrowded, under supplied, and it was regularly difficult to get a simple cup of coffee. 4. The hotel earns its star for its concierge. Every interaction with the concierge was positive. Every interaction with every other staff person was disappointing, frustrating, and/or disrespectful. It was as if they did not even car. If you're going to Vienna for a conference at the International Center, do yourself a favor. Stay downtown, learn how to use the subway system (which is very easy to use and quite reliable), and enjoy your stay. Staying at Melia will simply frustrate you and make you wonder why everyone loves Vienna.

Yelp
This 5 star skyscaper hotel is located close to Vienna International Center and the United Nations. The DC Tower 1 building is the tallest building in Austria and the 4th tallest in Western Europe - 225m. Donau City is a place just outside of old town Vienna and can easily be reached by U-Bahn 1 (Exit V.I.C.). The hotel rooms are located on the first 15 floors. They also have a Event / Conference center. A restaurant (57 Floor) and Skybar (58 Floor) with seperate dedicated elevators. Their reception & concierge is found on the below ground floor. A first impression is one of understated opulence. Black marble surroundings with a massive white marble round staircase, enclad with what looks like formed copper plating. Check in was a breeze and we weren't asked to join anything (I find that refreshing, as many hotels push their loyalty program). I asked for a room with a view on the old Vienna, but as those are 'premium' rooms we were kindly offered the best guest room available. It was room 15.12 on their top floor. Our porter brought in the bags for us. We tipped. Now I have worked and stayed in many hotels and some more exclusive and unique than others. This one however has to be in my top 3. EVERY room has floor to ceiling windows. We had a South East facing room and this was wonderful as it got us up with a sunrise overlooking the Donau! The view is amazing. The room itself is very well dressed up, functional and comfortable. Big queen sized bed, crisp soft linnen sheets, a duvet and massive semi firm pillows. A minibar (to keep your beers cold) and a Nespresso machine. A 40" flatscreen and a hidden section of sockets, usb 3.0, audio and hdmi ports. The black marbled washroom had all amenities you could want, massive mirror, hairdryer and most impressive: a Tropical Rain shower. As with any good hotel, we got bathrobes and high quality shampoo and bath gels. They operate an ECO towel scheme: on the floor = replace A small minor detail, the emergency bathroom phone (whilst a good idea on its own) did not stick to the wall and was stuck back with doublesided tape.. that didn't stick in a moist environment. Key cards for the door function as the main switch for electricity. This may cut out after a while. I mention this as we struggled to get the iron working. With the help of the head of Housekeeping we identified this issue. Breakfast was included into our room rate and good that we did! Their "champagne" (*cava) breakfast buffet is one of the best I have had. We could also order waffles, pancakes and eggs made to order. This quickly became the main meal of the day. I could sit on this breakfast the whole day. Nothing ran out during our time and enough staff at hand to clean up your table and refill the buffet with great efficiency. Personal favourite was the waffles with maple syrup, strawberries and bacon. Don't expect things to be cheap, this is a 5 star hotel and the prices reflect that. But with that the coffee and tea in the room is free and the service outstanding. As a guest of the hotel you have unlimited access to the Skybar (58 Floor) and first priority at the 57 restaurant reservations They have a small fitness room on the 14th floor, but we didn't use it. Remember that this hotel is located in Donau City island and has very few amenities after the working day is done. The KaiserM./V.I.C. U-Bahn 1 is the closest underground / metro. There is also a bus stop close to the U-Bahn that takes you straight to the airport. (cost €8 one trip) In all, a great experience and we had a great 4 days at the Hotel Melia.

Yelp
This hotel is not in the middle of the craziness but you can quickly take the subway anywhere you want. It's quite easy to use. Taxi will be 13-19 euro to Vienna central. Being the tallest building in Vienna, the views can be amazing on a clear day. The iced coffee with ice cream (yes....that is right) was amazing!!

Yelp
I just spent a week at the Melia, and the hotel was excellent. I was fortunate enough to be in a Level Room with a view of the Danube and city skyline - absolutely beautiful. The room was minimalistic and contemporary. A plush King-sized bed, a dark waterfall shower. My favorite feature was the bathtub, though - I am a tall person, and it's very rare that I can submerge myself in a tub without my knees poking out and getting cold. It was really delightful. We also opted for the included breakfast, which was excellent. Several options, from pastries to eggs and bacon. And of course, delicious coffee. We ate dinner at both the Flow restaurant and Level 57. Flow is great for a tasty, quick meal, and the service was very attentive. I also got lattes from there nearly every afternoon, which were delicious as well. The Level restaurant offers a beautiful view of the city, and a more upscale dining experience. Be sure to make reservations, though, it is not easy to get in last minute. My only complaint, which really has nothing to do with the hotel, is that it is a bit out of the city center. But, it is about a 5 minute walk to the nearest subway stop, and from there you can be in the the city center in about 10 minutes. By taxi, it was usually about 10-12 euros to the city center. Overall, it is a new and modern hotel, and I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Vienna as long as they don't mind not being in the middle of everything.

Yelp
Room was nice, appreciate Nespresso machine in room. Customer Service was quite poor. Restaurant closed on Sunday, bartenders and hostess not friendly.
