Magical stay in every way! The staff and location are outstanding! A short walk to the town and amazing views make this an ideal place to stay. The breakfast on your private balcony is a beautiful dining experience. Cocktails and desserts are delicious. Milos is a stunning island with amazing beaches to explore. After returning from the day's activities, a dip in your private hot tub or off the swimming deck is delightful. The hotel's decor is relaxing and impeccable. I would not hesitate to recommend this beautiful experience to anyone.

From the moment we arrived until the moment we reluctantly left, our time at Melian was magical. The setting couldn’t have been more beautiful, calming, and inspiring, and the ability to walk into the lovely village of Pollonia for harborside dinners was a huge plus - no drinking and driving. The room was lovely and the view from our terrace mesmerizing. Every single person on the staff was ebullient, professional, and incredibly helpful in directing us to the best beaches and restaurants. Special thanks to Ionannis, Kleopatra, Sergio, and Nikos. The design of the hotel and the staff uniforms were both hip and cool in a fittingly relaxed way. Breakfast there was a dream and dinner the best lollipop lamb chops and fish carpaccio we have had anywhere. In short, this is a perfect place. Our five nights there were not enough so we must return to check out the beaches we missed! If you are a swimmer, Milos is for you. And Melian Boutique Hotel is the place to be on Milos.

My husband and I stayed at the Melian when we were in Milos for our honeymoon (May 2024). We had never been to Milos - but we would love to go back! The Melian was amazing. The room was spacious with a spectacular view of the water. Our patio had a hot tub and plenty of space to relax. The hotel is built into the cliffs of the island - it just blends in and doesn't look out of place. The rooms are very luxurious while fitting in with the aesthetic of the island. Breakfast with Sergio was delightful. The food was delicious and the views were stunning. The front desk staff (Dora) were very helpful with a car rental, beach recommendations, and dinner reservations. We loved this hotel and would love to visit again in the future!

Melian boutique hotel & spa meets all the expectations one could have. Location wise, it is in walking distance to Pollania center as well as to the pier where daily boat rentals are parked.|Hotel’s patio provides a hot tub along with loungechairs and facing the exquisite view of sunset.|The gastronomy is utterly exceptional. It can easily compete with the very best croissants and cafe americains with various Parisien cafes. Lunch and dinner menus although some might find a little bit limitted in terms of variety, are so creative and delicious. Seabass Carpacio and Shrimp Ceviche are so tasteful. |The rooms ( we have stayed both in superior and penthouse rooms) very comfortable and accommodating. My only comment would be in regards to decoration. The furnitures could have been more modern, updated and resembling the nature of the island.|Special thanks to Dora, Tania, Sergio, Nikos and other valuable friendly and helpful staff who made our stay extremely pleasant. |I highly reccomend this Hotel.

My wife and I are just concluding a three week trip through Western Europe with our adolescent boys, culminating in three glorious days staying at the Melian boutique hotel on Milos. Where to begin? The staff were kind, sincere and accommodating. The property is simply stunning overlooking a beautiful Aegean ocean bay with colours of turquoise and royal blue. The rooms are lovely, immaculate, cool in the heat and the beds and pillows afforded us deep, contented sleeps. Stunning sunsets too. Not to be outdone though was the food - every meal prepared with caring and fresh, simple ingredients, from beautiful breakfast options to delicious dinners like sea bass carpaccio, a modern take on Greek salad with feta mousse, grilled lamb popsicles, along with the best dessert we had in Europe - a banana-caramel concoction with homemade honey, and buttery granola. The hotel staff arranged seamless travel for us to and from the port and helped us rent ATVs (a must do!) to self-explore the island. I could not more strongly endorse this wonderful, family-run destination hotel, most especially for those of us who like to give our tourist dollars to hardworking, local, small businesses.

Four of us visited Hotel Melian from England for three nights, paying 560 euros a night (per room). Milos is generally pretty overpriced (and in my view overrated) but even so, for this amount of money we were still expecting high standards across the board, not to say a bit of luxury. So the good points first. The location of the hotel is wonderful: it sits on one side of a cove or inlet which is largely unspoiled (as yet) and had a nice bathing platform down on the edge of the water, the shoreline being quite rocky. Another plus was the quality of the food: breakfast, served either on the terrace or on your room balcony, was excellent. The staff - and particularly Sergio the chef - were very nice. So the location and the catering was excellent. But a lot of things didn't - to my mind - remotely live up to the price. A minor complaint, but one which seemed to reflect the wider attitude of the hotel, was bottled water. We arrived during Greece's first June heatwave and it was blisteringly hot: the rocks were literally shimmering in the sun. We immediately asked whether water was provided in the rooms and were told that it wasn't: we'd have to use what was in the minibar, at, of course, the usual extortionate rates. In all of the other Greek hotels we'd been to, you'd at least get a bottle or two of water a day and in some cases (e.g. the nice Nos hotel on Sifnos) the staff took great care to keep everyone well supplied. We then asked whether we could fill our bottles with the tap water, but were told that it was unsuitable for drinking. Later, when we headed out to the supermarket, we discovered that bottled water was 0.35 euros a bottle - we did feel that with the whole island roasting like a furnace, we could at least have had some cold drinkable water laid on in return for e560 a night. That parsimony was reflected in the rooms. The rooms were much smaller than we expected and the double beds were also quite small: again, for the price, we expected spacious comfortable rooms and big double king-size beds with all the usual nice linen and so on. The bathrooms were also pretty small and my wife complained that there was nowhere to put all of her things, which remained in bags on the floor. I also live off tea and enjoy the usual little kettle that you get in almost every hotel: here, there was not kettle and no tea, although there was the usual coffee capsule machine. So generally speaking, if we'd have been paying 180 or 200 euros a night, all of this might all have been OK, but given the stratospheric price, we felt ripped off. On settling the bill, I was asked if I wanted to leave a tip for the staff. I had to think hard about this because the quality-price equation at the hotel was hardly the fault of the staff, who were extremely nice, but having (in my view) grossly overpaid for the quality of the accommodation, I declined to do so, and explained why. I don't know whether Hotel Melian is an outlier on Milos, and there are a lot of other hotels on Milos that are value for money in a way that it isn't, or whether they are all as overpriced as each other (which may be possible). But if I went back to Milos again (and I wouldn't, because it didn't impress me any more than the nicer bits of Andalusia) I'd shop around the AirBnBs rather than get hammered in the same way.

Milos is truly a gem of an island and Melian Boutique Hotel with its amazing staff made our time absolutely wonderful. Rooms are very well appointed with breakfast offered either on your personal balcony or the hotel terrace. The welcome prosecco was such a nice greeting. Tania at the front desk arranged all transfers and maintained communication both before and on arrival to the island. She guided us in all the "must sees and dos" which included time in their spa with a terrific massage. From Klima to the Lunar beach of Sarakiniko, I would go back in a heartbeat!!
