Awesome experience, friendly, knowledgeable staff who were happy to take a few photos of us at the end too. Short experience, I more than 6-8 minutes in the boat but it was well worth it for the €30 (2 adults & 2 kids). Plenty of free parking too.

Well that was great, it really is only a 15 min trip on a boat. That takes you in to the wide open space that is the cave it stunning but before you know it, it all over. Worth a visit but.....look at my pictures, lovely!

A great experience, good value for money and knowledgeable, fun tour guides on the boats. We paid €10 each which worked out to about £6 each. The tour was by boat and it was astonishing how Crystal clear the water is even though its tens of metres deep! The tour lasted approximately 20 minutes and our boat guide was very knowledgeable, spoke very good English, and was a laugh as well. Will definitely go again when we come back to Kefalonia!

The lake is very pretty, Yeah you aren't there long but its also not a very big lake! There's ample opportunity for photos - we went just after it had rained and missed all the queue and the sun popped out and the water went its trademark turquoise. I can imagine it gets very busy at peak times, but I'd recommend!

First, the parking is free and everyone is looking for a place to park in the shade. Overall, there is no parking problem. The line is quite long when we arrived at about 1:00 PM. It took us about an hour to slowly get to the boat. you can buy tickets at the line, so not necessarily to buy in advance. Two conclusions, one is to arrive at 4:00 PM, which is when we finished and there was no line at all. Second, when you get back on the boat, smile. At first, we didn't understand why everyone who got on didn't smile. When we got off, we realized that the climb is steep and you get off quickly, so there is no fresh air 😅. Overall, the boat ride was nice, the guy who rowed was pleasant and friendly. The water is clear and the place is very beautiful for a 10-minute ride.

The Melissani Cave Lake is a fascinating spot. A roof fall-in, thousands of years ago, to provide a huge cavern that filled with water. At exactly the right time, the sun shines through the opening and lights up the cave and gives spectacular colour to the brackish water. Our trip fell outside this time, but judging by the queue waiting, getting to see the cave at its best would involve a long wait. There’s a small ticket office and a long tunnel down to the water, people get into small boats and are rowed around to see the best views. There’s English and Greek commentary by to oarsmen. The car parking was provided is unmade limestone gravel, with lots of space.

This is a magnificent cave with crystal-clear water. I advise you to arrive early because otherwise you will have to wait a long time. We arrived there at 9:00 a.m. and sailed with the first two boats into the cave. A ticket for an adult was 10 euros. The boat ride lasted 10 minutes. Maybe at 11 a.m. the view would be different, but it would also be less quiet.

We visited first week of the September. Absolutely ravishing! After 40 mins joined queue, be seated the boat. Words are meaningless. Must to see. There are plenty of parking spaces so you can find shady spots if you are lucky.
