Mellemværftet, Historic Shipyard

What a fantastic place to visit. A real working workshop. Loved wondering around the 3 storey building. 2 forges with blacksmiths working and giving demonstrations of wrought iron work. We asked them to make us a toasting fork which he did for us. Highly recommend visiting for anyone involved in metal working. It was one of the highlights of our holiday. Free to enter. Not suitable for wheel chair access.

Beautiful old shipyard where boats are still being restored. The shipyard workers' coffee stand has its own special charm. A beautiful section on the KulTUR Round "Vågen Rundt".

Fascinating shipyard from 1850's still using greased skidways to haul out vintage wooden vessels. There is a working coal forge which holds blacksmithing courses.

Interesting historical shipyard, but a little run down. Since most of it is publicly accessible, you can go there any time you like.

A lot of history in there..:) Located near city center which makes it a good 30min.stroll from there. Worth visiting.

Great open museum, you can get a guide there for a reasonable price.
