After hearing all the raves about this place, I finally made it here. The donuts are fresh and moist. The fillings are not overly sweet, but they sprinkle a lot of sugar on top. It's a bit too much for my preference. The place itself can use a little more decoration and better so-called tables for people to eat. There are no chairs, but the tables are very low. The two beside the windows are about to fall over. If it's just for takeout, then probably better not to put tables that can be a hazard. There seems to be a faucet for people to their hands, but there isn't a sink below the faucet.

I’ve only visited Mello twice, but I have to say—it might just be my favorite donut spot in town. Their brioche is incredible, especially the strawberries & cream and the matcha brioche. I paired it with their strawberry milk, which was light, refreshing, and not overly sweet. I love that their treats have just the right balance of sweetness, making it easy to indulge without feeling overwhelmed. I can definitely see myself satisfying my sweet cravings here and exploring more of their menu. By the way, the lady helping us was so kind and patient. Absolutely like this place, recommended!

Google
I liked their coffee but loved their donuts 🍩 !! Especially the old fashioned/traditional ones that are tasty without being too sweet. The coffee would be better with some places to sit and relax or just chill with friends , but it rather looks like an unfinished set up - maybe they're renovating? But after spending a month in the neighbourhood I never saw any change so I'm assuming that's the usual layout. Nevertheless, it's great for a takeaway 😉

Google
I'm not a donut lover but this place has special ones which are ok to have once in a while. I got three different ones which for me the chocolate was the best. It's recently renovated, very clean, not the warmest environment but I guess it's not like a coffee shop people hang around. It was busy around 2pm on Saturday.

You wouldn’t believe how many doughnut shops I’ve visited around the world (for real). A few years ago, I discovered Mello, and it quickly became one of my top doughnut spots—from Europe to Hawaii to Ottawa, it’s truly one of my favorites. The quality of the doughnuts here is absolutely insane, and the freshness is next level. I’ve even rented a car during a layover just to grab a box of six doughnuts—no joke! haha Last week, I was eagerly waiting for my return to Vancouver just so I could go back. In fact, I visited Mello four times in one week and tried nearly every doughnut they offer, plus I brought some with me on the plane (yes, I know, I’m obsessed haha). Honestly, it’s by far one of the best doughnut shops ever. The selection is huge, and the quality is always impressive. Special shoutout to the Peanut Butter and Jelly, Dark Chocolate Pudding, Tiramisu, and especially the Chocolate Peanut Dip. I’m already looking forward to my next visit! Do yourself a favor and try this hidden gem in Vancouver—you won’t regret it!

Google
Rumored best but 7/10 at best. Minimal filling; I bit 1/3 into the donut and can’t find a trace of cream. Sugar coating outside is too sweet and matcha cream too bland and bitter. Other flavors might work but not recommended

Update: We used to recommend this place to everyone, but unfortunately, I need to change my review. The quality’s gone down. The donuts feel heavier, there’s less filling, and flavors just don’t stand out like they used to. The best donut I’ve ever had. So light (I never thought I’d describe a donut like that). Just the right amount of sweetness. And they keep coming up with new flavors all the time. My favorites are vanilla, strawberry and cream, and the cereal one.

Google
Light and airy brioche donuts! Strawberry is one of my favourites but cannot really go wrong with any flavour. It is sad that the Arbutus location closed down as this location isn’t in a good area.

Yelp
Go to for donuts when I am in Vancouver. Moist, airy, light and not too sweet. This time had the following in Dec 2024- * Jolly Hazelnut * Orange Blissmas * Donukie * Teddy Grey * Matcha Strawberry * Matcha

Yelp
The Cereal Milk donut was honestly soooo delicious!!! One of the best donuts I've had. I loved the flavor and the fact that it wasn't super sweet. All the donuts looked so yummy I wanted to try them all! There are so many different flavors of fillings to choose from. The ladies behind the counter were also very nice and patient. Will definitely try to return next time I'm in Vancouver.
google avatar

Yelp
One of the best donut places in Vancouver for sure! The storefront isn't too big but it can get lively and the line moves quickly. The staff are kind and patient. We tried some of the lunar new year flavours - the taro was really good and I always recommend the lemon custard - definitely my favourite!
google avatar

Alex W.

Yelp
Fantastic ratio of donut to cream filling. The everything donut was also good but I'm just not a big fan of everything seasoning.
google avatar

Queenie L.

Yelp
Coffee and matcha donut! I always love the texture of the brioche donut and I think Mello does it so well - soft and pillowy with flavourful filling inside. I'm really picky with matcha so the matcha one was not strong enough for me. I really liked the flavour of the coffee one however and thought that it was really flavourful!
google avatar

Mike L.

Yelp
Good brioche-style donuts with unique flavors that stand out. We tried the lemon custard donut and the chocolate chip cookie donut. The lemon custard donut was the highlight--tart, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, making it a great choice. The chocolate chip cookie donut, however, was a bit disappointing. The top was too hard, and it didn't pair well with the soft, bread-like texture of the bottom.
google avatar

Yelp
Yum yum yum. Donut lovers need to try this. Haven't had a single bad flavour. Everything is delicious and baked fresh. Parking is a bit of a PITA as it's only busy street parking in old Chinatown Vancouver. Just sad I only had an appetite for 6 but could have ate a dozen to myself if challenged. Great place to grab a coffee as well.
google avatar

Anokhy D.

Yelp
I love coming here whenever I'm in town. Yes, the filled donuts are soft and not too sweet and wonderfully light, but really we need to be shouting out the unsung hero of the donut shop- the savory financier. It's soft and cheesy and a little sweet, a perfect balance for the large filled donut. There's never a line when I go (usually on a weekday after the morning rush) and I'm in and out pretty quickly.
google avatar

Yelp
Haven't been back in this area forever. Decided to drop in on the "best" voted donut shop in GVRD. Ordered 3, red bean, lemon meringue and donukie. Were all stellar. Much better than the last time here. Though price have increased 25-30% Service was better. Some folks actually spoke English this time. Still I'd refrain becoming a sugar addict.
google avatar

Yelp
In the middle of Chinatown, you can find this gem of a donut shop! There were so many different flavors to try it was difficult to decide. I went with tiramisu and PB&J. I really liked the PB& J donut because the PB was very light and airy, not too rich. These donuts were just fun to eat and the shop itself it bright and inviting. Can't wait to go back to try the other flavors. They were out of the Everything Bagel donut and heard it's a must try!
google avatar

Sharon M.

Yelp
My favourite go to dessert for the most fluffiest donuts! I always get the strawberry, matcha and everything bagel donuts. The service is always 10/10 and the store interior is spacious and adorable.
google avatar

Janet M.

Yelp
Went to the store to grab a few doughnuts to go. There was another group in front of me, I prayed hard they don't pick the one I wanted the most, the Everything Bagel. They didn't get it, so I got the last one. I also got Strawberries & Cream and Cereal Milk Cream. The flavour I wanted the most, Everything Bagel disappointed me, the filling which supposed to be cream cheese was sweet. Zero taste of cheese, no tartness, no saltiness. The Everything seasoning was lacking in texture and depth. I would skip this next time, "Did not Meet Expectations". Strawberries & Cream was good as usual. Cereal Milk Cream always the great, best texture and flavour.
google avatar

Yelp
We stopped by Mello last Friday afternoon for more sweets and desserts. We got two special brioche donuts to share (CA$5.50 each) and they were so tasty! The EVERYTHING BAGEL DONUT was definitely my favorite because it tasted like a sweet version of the actual bagel with chive cream cheese. The whipped cream was mostly savory with some sweetness, plus the donut was sweet and filled with everything seasoning. Very unique, for sure. I also enjoyed the TIRAMISU donut because I am a huge coffee fan. Overall, the brioche donut was fluffy and the seasonings on top of both donuts made it a bit crispier. Cream on both were good. I would recommend and come back! Also, no seating in here from what I remembered but there are some high top long tables by the window.

Melissa L.

Yelp
Great service with a beautiful and aesthetic interior! We got the old-fashioned matcha dipped donut and a donukie (donut/cookie combo) which were both just decent, but overall just okay. The matcha donut was pretty sweet and the bread was tougher than expected. The donukie was soooo much sugar (which I guess is our fault because we should've known) and we ended up not finishing it. It's possible we didn't order the right things, though. My friend I came with mentioned he preferred Lee's donuts instead because they are much softer there. Update: Another friend who we saved the donukie for had the time of his life eating it. He has a major sweet tooth and said it was right up his alley. So much so that he told his girlfriend they need to visit the shop ASAP. The washroom was tidy and clean!!
google avatar

Jasmine L.

Yelp
Unsuspecting donut shop in Chinatown - but truly the LIGHTEST & fluffiest classic sugar coated donut I've had. Imagine biting into a cloud filled with light whipped cream & fresh strawberries. Simple but brilliant, would love to try their lemon curd next time and their bottled milk tea drinks.
google avatar

Yelp
Mello Chinatown is nondescript from the outside, just a simple pale yellow corner storefront with large windows. Inside is large and spacious with a few tables, but no seating. I'm not a big fan of donuts, but I do love brioche so I wanted to give Mello a try. I stopped by on a Thursday early afternoon and there was a short line ahead of me. The brioche was very good, light and fluffy. Donuts had a generous amount of filling. The vanilla custard cream filling was light with a hint of sweetness and vanilla flavoring was noticeable. The tiramisu mascarpone filling had the right amount of coffee flavor (not too light, not too strong), but this filling was a little heavier/richer than the custard cream. I love how brioche dough gives Mello a different, non-traditional take on donuts. Service at this location was quick, not friendly but not rude. Depending how picky you are with fillings, visit their website beforehand to see which flavors are cream based vs mascarpone based. The website says the donuts can be stored at room temperature, and recommend consuming same day.

Yelp
When I tell you that the cereal milk donut from Mello is the best donut I've ever had, I'm not kidding. I stopped by here on a Sunday afternoon and got the cereal milk cream donut, though was also very tempted by the tirimisu and matcha donuts. They have a good variety to choose from without it being too overwhelming. I actually refrigerated my donut and had it the nice morning (not heated up either) during a hike. Even though I didn't it eat while it was fresh, it was still amazing. The dough was so soft, it was creamy but not overly sweet, and I'm so sad I haven't found anything similar to this back in Toronto. I was tempted to go back to Mello afterwards but stopped myself since I also had two donuts from Lee's on this trip (but I would go back to Vancouver just for these donuts). The space itself was a bit small with limited seating, but very aesthetic and service was quick and friendly! Their donuts range between $4.25 to $5.75 for the specialty donuts (this cereal milk cream was $5.50).

Yelp
My first time trying brioche donuts and they are to die for! They're light, fluffy, and not too sweet. I got the strawberries & cream, matcha, and cereal milk cream. It's hard to choose which one I liked most, because they're all so good. There isn't much seating here, but I grabbed these to go. I would recommend eating these on the same day because the donuts could get a little hardened the next day.

Yelp
YUM YUM YUM~!! I love a good donut shop, and well I wasn't planning to stumble across here, but I did anyways. I walked by the store and I was like OH this is the MELLO everyone is talking about. I entered and ordered some of my favourite donuts by them. I've had them before at a party and they were EXTREMELY delicious. I totally wasn't the goblin in the corner enjoying them donuts. LOL Anyways, I ordered the following donuts: Matcha Cereal Milk cream Tiramisu Nutella Salted Caramel I loved each and every single one of these donuts. OMG, that Matcha oozing right out of the donut just make me so happy. And that cereal milk cream was so delicious, I love how milky and fluffy it was. Granted they are supposed to be like a cafe thing, but they took away all the chairs and the seating within the area. They are treating it more like a take away place now instead of offering customers to sit and eat the donuts. Regardless, their donuts speak for themselves anyways, so order some of them, and take them away to eat at home!

Yelp
mello, a cozy donut and coffee shop located in chinatown at 223 east pender street, features a warm aesthetic, minimalist yet stylish decor, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. the shop's menu, displayed on the wall, lists various coffee options like espresso, americano, macchiato, and different types of lattes and teas. below the menu, a display case is filled with an array of mouth watering looking donuts labeled with different flavours, including special varieties like matcha, tiramisu, and old-fashioned. there's also a section for different-sized boxes of donuts: small (2-3 donuts), medium (4-6 donuts), and large (7-10 donuts), offering a discount for larger purchases. the counter also displays a few baked goods and beverages, including bottled water and specialty drinks like cold brew. these gourmet donuts are handmade fresh daily over a two-day process. i picked up three donuts: strawberry and cream, lemon curd, and cereal milk. they were all equally tasty, soft, tender, and slightly chewy with a touch of sweetness. they were golden brown on the outside and dusted with sugar. overall, mello is a charming spot to pick up a sweet treat and a cup of coffee, though seating is very limited.

Yelp
My friend had sent me an Instagram post of these donuts when I was visiting Vancouver. We happened to be in Chinatown, which is where Mello is located, so we stopped in on a Tuesday just before 1. There are so many flavors to choose from! They make brioche donuts with some unique fillings. I was torn between matcha and the lemon curd but in the end, I chose lemon curd. It was nice - not too sweet, and the brioche was fresh. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in the area!
google avatar

John D.

Yelp
Saw that this was one of the most popular donuts out in Vancouver so decided to give it a try. Parking was a bit difficult as it was all street parking and the drive to the area was interesting as there was a lot of homeless encampments everywhere. The aesthetics of this place is very modern. The donuts are filled with different flavored creams so we gave a few a try. Eating them while fresh is the key! Donuts had a good texture while the filling wasn't too sweet. Make sure to get a mixed box to try alil bit of everything! Note: They also sell coffee and matcha which are perfect to wash down the donuts.
google avatar

Wennie H.

Yelp
I didn't intend to come to Mello again because I was pretty let down the last time but my friend really wanted to come here...I got a chocolate chip cookie with sea salt and the cereal milk cookie. The chocolate chip cookie was dense, had a good chew but was pretty bland. The cereal milk cookie at first was not it- but then the flavor grew on me, buttery. Reminded me of those butterfly sugar palmer cookies. The middle had me saying meh, the edges were crispy. This cookie was very 50/50 for me. Service was ok.
google avatar

Kaylen N.

Yelp
Definitely get the cereal milk donut. The crunchy bits on the outside make it unique. I would honestly buy a whole box of cereal milk. Service is very helpful. there wasn't any seating tho and it seems like they're still decorating.
google avatar

Talia L.

Yelp
Spacious interior, quick and easy service. Overall, wished the flavors were executed in a more creative way. The dough was soft, pillowy, and enjoyable. Matcha donut - bold matcha flavor, fluffy filling, exactly as you would expect from a matcha donut PB&J donut - really thick peanut butter filling which felt like I was just eating a mouthful of peanut butter. Jelly was not dispersed super well, wish there was more for better balance. Nutella donut - was hoping there would be something unique about the Nutella but it was just straight Nutella in a donut. Not bad, just not special Cereal milk donut - I liked the crunch on the exterior, filling was fluffy and not too sweet. I enjoyed this one the most. Vanilla donut - this just tasted like the cereal milk donut but with no crunchy exterior
google avatar

Yelp
Yummy breakfast delicacy or perfect for dessert. I loved the atmosphere, workers and the food but I hope the surrounding neighborhood gets cleaned up a little more.

Yelp
Came by here as I was visiting Chinatown in Vancouver. There were so many flavours and I wanted to get every single one! I ended up choosing the cherry merlot. Oh em gee, this has got to be one of the best donuts I've ever had in my life. The filling wasn't so sweet, it was just right and so fluffy and creamy. The dough was perfection. I also got an Americano because it's a local brand(gotta support local!) it was such a yummy snack. I'm definitely coming back for the matcha one!
google avatar

Mark Y.

Yelp
It is summertime and Mello has added mango to their lovely lineup of yummy melt in your mouth brioche sugar frosted donuts! This was one of the reasons we drove from Seattle was to indulge on this and their signature strawberries and cream and cereal milk cream crunch that are oh so deelish. We've had the other choices including lemon curd, matcha and vanilla and you can't go wrong with any of the choices. The staff are excellent and greet you with a smile. The interior is pretty basic and while there aren't any seating or chairs you can enjoys your donuts by the large front door window. Definitely a delectable donut!
google avatar

Janice R.

Yelp
Mello donuts are a fan fav, located in Chinatown. The cereal milk donut is not too sweet, has the perfect texture and the cream is so fresh and light. It's a one of a kind donut that keeps you wanting more. They got a variety of donuts and some other pastry items like cookies and cakes. We also tried the mango mochi donuts which was okay (little mochi pieces in the cream) It's a small shop with no seating but the yellow interior is bright and welcoming.
google avatar

Kyla H.

Yelp
the interior is very minimal with the store painted in one color of paint. there is a cute drawing of the type of donuts they offer which you can look at while you're waiting in line. we opted to get a medium box to fit our five donuts. it was hard to choose between everything, but we were helped quickly. Ordered: Matcha donut: matcha creme filled donut, super nice matcha flavor that wasn't too bitter Nutella: filled with nutella, super overbearing because you're eating a donut full of nutella lol Strawberry & cream: love this combo! fluffy cream and strawberry chunks throughout Tiramisu: coffee flavored creme filling dusted with cocoa Donukie: Mello's take on the viral crookie (croissant+cookie) with cookie dough on the inside and on top. Super sweet but if you've got a crazy sweet tooth then go for it Matcha latte: don't know what cup I expected for $4.75 but it wasn't this lol. Funny surprise and decent taste to curb my matcha craving

Yelp
Donuts are really good but expensive. I really liked the salted caramel. Unique brioche donut.
google avatar

Angela S.

Yelp
Mello is raved about by so many people- and I appreciate the hype. The donuts were perfect - airy and light. The cream was so fresh for each donut and not overwhelming sweet. My family got one of each flavor and each one did not miss. My favorite was the tiramisu. We also did try the everything bagel donut. Not going to lie, it was off putting, but done very well and tastefully. It was an interesting culinary experience. The cafe interior was cozy, chic, and cute. We didn't sit in but I would next time!

Yelp
I grew up eating Leonard's malasadas in Honolulu. Mello's donuts immediately reminded me of the sugary malasadas I had during my childhood. We had to stop by and get some during one of our recent trips to Vancouver. After finding parking on the street, we walked into their cute store. Their displays were well lit and their interior was clean, simple, and refined. Thankfully, there was no one standing in line so we walked straight up to the displays to check out their colorful donuts. There were many varieties of flavors but they seem to be based on a sugary malasada donut with their own creative flavors infused into it. I think the combination works both aesthetically and culinarily. Every time we are in Vancouver, we are trying to eat, eat, and eat. So, we were in between meals when we stopped by. Our only option was to take them to go and we could not eat the donuts until the next day. Even after a day, the donuts were great. We will have to come back when we can eat right away!
google avatar

Audrey T.

Yelp
Tasty treat! Nice fluffy doughnuts with the brioche buns and yummy filling. Matcha and salted caramel were nice with runny fillings. Tiramisu was more like a whipped cream.
google avatar

Kate C.

Yelp
I only get to go to this place once in a while because parking is just so horrible in chinatown. Whenever I pass by there on bus I make sure to go to Mello for a treat. I love their strawberry cream. The whipping cream is thick and just the right sweetness. There are several cubed pieces of strawberries on top and only like 2-3 pieces inside. I would prefer it to have more strawberries. I really like the donut part. It is pillowy soft. My husband really liked the vanilla cream one. Its more like a custard cream.
google avatar

Brenda Y.

Yelp
We ordered the matcha donut, and it was delightful! The place is very clean and has plenty of tables, but no chairs for sitting, making it more of an order-and-go spot. Despite that, we really enjoyed the matcha donut and would definitely recommend trying it if you're in the area.
google avatar

Kumar V.

Yelp
Tried the Matcha and Nutella donuts. More than flavor, it was the donut bun that stood out. Pretty glad to discover this place. Pretty clean place and ideal for takeaways. Matcha coffee has probably more authentic flavors.
google avatar

Jennifer D.

Yelp
Tried the Cereal Milk Donut ($4.24 USD) since I figured I couldn't find that back at home in CA! Loved the cereal on the outside of the donut because of the texture component. The cream inside had a slight milk flavor and it overall wasn't too sweet but after a few more bites I needed some water. I also saw they had mini donuts but if you want to order those, you have to pre order in advance.
google avatar

Maya Mayuko T.

Yelp
I found Mello's Halloween-themed donuts on Instagram, and their adorable designs instantly captivated me. Without hesitation, I placed a pre-order. Mello's is renowned for their popular brioche donuts. Beyond donuts, they offer cheesecakes, cupcakes, and various other baked goods. What I got : brioche cookie and cream Halloween donut brioche matcha cream Halloween donut **These two treats were quite similar except for the filling cream. The filling cream was rather light, though I personally prefer cookies and cream. The decoration on top, featuring ghost-shaped meringue and chocolate tombstones, was absolutely delightful. Red velvet cake Halloween cupcake **The bottom red velvet sponge was solid. The cream cheese icing stole the highlight for me, adding a delightful flavor contrast. And, of course, the charming decorations on top--a ghost-shaped meringue and chocolate tombstone--were an absolute favorite. Cereal cookie **Every visit to Mello , it's simply irresistible. The soft cookie paired with crunchy cereal creates a deliciously perfect combination that I absolutely love. Cereal milk donut **Absolutely, it seems like one of the most popular items. The donut covered in cereal with that milky-flavored cream all around is simply divine. It's no wonder it's a fan favorite--it's just that good! I'm looking forward to trying more of Mello's themed donuts and baked goods. They never disappoint us!!
google avatar

Yelp
Kinda pricey ($27-35 for 6 donuts), but hands down the best donut I've had in a long time! Strawberries and Cream and Tiramisu were my absolute favorite. The women serving the donuts were very nice and knowledgeable! They do not have gluten free options. Will definitely be back the next time I'm in Vancouver!

Yelp
Shops with specialty donuts are a dime a dozen these days.  Everyone seems to have a specialty brioche donut.  Just within where I live, there's at least 3 that I know of.  So, why did I end up coming here?  Simple.  Cereal and milk. I love this particular flavor for anything.  Milkbar has this flavor for soft serve and milk shake (Unfortunately, they didn't even last a year, so I couldn't go here).  Thankfully, Mello has some donuts with this flavor.  I was curious.  Also, I watched a few vlogs and all of them had this one as their favorite.  The curiosity got to me, so I put it on my list.  Thank goodness! Even though I picked up some pastries at New Town bakery right before, I still had to get a few flavors.  While they didn't have Cookies and Cream, they did have not only the aforementioned Cereal and Milk, but also strawberry cream, lemon cream, and vanilla cream.  I wanted to try more, but I'm only one person here.  LOL! Let's start with that Cereal and Milk flavor (or is it Milk and Cereal? LOL).  This might be the best donut I have ever eaten.  Period.  Yes, it's THAT good!  If you are one of those people that likes donuts, but feels they can be sometimes "too sweet," then rest assured.  While there is cream in this donut, it's definitely not too sweet.  This helps, because the cereal coating might be a little sweet, but the sweetness will all be offset.  The other donuts I got were all delicious, as well, and also not cloyingly sweet.  The donut itself was pillow-y soft.  There is literally nothing negative I could say about these donuts.  Even if they were $20 each, I would say these were worth it!  If I had just one more day in Vancouver, I would have definitely came back. Service was great.  The ladies working the counter were super friendly and helpful.  Prices weren't absurd.  The only thing I wish is that they had tables and chairs to sit down.  They do have a restroom available, which is a definite plus for me since I was walking around Chinatown and there was no public restroom in sight (unless you sit down at a restaurant.  However, I was waiting for Phnom Penh to open).

Yelp
FEELING A LITTLE MELLO Didn't get a cake for my second birthday dinner so a friend got us some donuts from @mellovancouver as a substitute This is my second time trying Mello's brioche donuts and they taste the same as I remember. Brioche donuts are more fluffy and softer than your traditional dipped donuts. I believe the concept originated from Korea (correct me if I'm wrong). I would recommend these donuts to anyone who has a sweet/carb tooth. We picked these up from the Chinatown location which was small, but had a bright and cute vibe. They did recently open a new cafe location in Arbutus which is a lot bigger and has more seating for dine-in. The ordering process was super speedy, just tell the staff how many donuts you want, pay and then your box of donuts will be ready. These donuts were all super soft and fluffy. Their fun flavours were all on point and some were super nostalgic. *PB & J I love the PB and acidic jam combo *Tiramisu Strong espresso flavour *Strawberry & Cream Plain whipped cream filling *Nutella Delectably filled with Nutella *Cereal Milk Like a bowl of Frosted Flakes *Salted Caramel This one was a dream. New fav Fun story about my first time trying these donuts: I was stoned and a friend of a friend showed up with a box before we headed out to a club. I was so full from AYCE hotpot that I actually wrapped the Cereal Milk donut in a paper towel and stuffed it into my jacket pocket, and snuck it into the club. Pulled it out halfway into the rave and stuffed my face with it. Pretty sure a lot of people thought they were tripping out when they saw my donut 7.5/10 ‍10/10 $$ (aprox. $4.25/brioche donut) Mello | 223 E Pender St, Vancouver

Yelp
3.5/5 Stopped by for some coffee and donuts. The interior does not have any seating and seemed like they're still finishing it up, so unfortunately ate our donuts inside while standing. Donuts: ~Strawberries and cream (3/5): Donut had good texture and whipped cream was good. The filling to donut ratio was a bit off, but was good ~Tiramisu (3/5): same as the strawberries and cream. Wanted a little more coffee/espresso flavor ~Lemon Curd (5/5): did not expect this one to be my favorite, but the lemon curd filling was so good. Perfectly tart and sweet. ~Cereal cookie (3/5): interesting cookie, the cereal unfortunately felt a little stale, but was okay ~Americano (4/5): great flavor and strength. The cups were cute but a little hard to hold.

Yelp
Loved the donuts. They were airy and the filling tasted fresh and delicious. I also got a mocha here, it wasn't great - so def just stick to the donuts.

Yelp
Absolutely decadent and fantastic. They are described as doughnuts, but really these are more like the Chinese coconut cream buns. The bread has the same soft pillow type texture. The outside are covered in sugar and filled with types of wonderful cream fillings. We tried the strawberry cream, hazelnut, matcha, and vanilla. They were all phenomenal, I wish, I had something like this where, I am from.

Yelp
Three years later, still an absolute favourite for brioche doughnuts. If ever I'm nearby, I always make sure to make a stop here. Our three go to flavours are usually strawberry, matcha, and tiramisu.

Yelp
First time trying this style of donuts. Super delicious, fluffy, and filling was good. Not to sweet.

Yelp
From the pictures I saw online it looked very sweet, and not like your typical Asian bakery because it looked like it had a lot of sugar sprinkles on the outside. However, it wasn't as sweet as I thought. In fact, it was the perfect sweetness level. I got the cereal, cream doughnut, and I loved it! It reminds me of my whip cream icing that I make at home. And the outside cornflakes crust gave it a crunchy texture, which I loved! Most of the time with frosted cornflakes it's super sweet, but this was the perfect sweetness level. My son got the tiramisu and it tasted just like coffee, but it was also very good. My daughter got the strawberry cream and she loved it! It has small bit of fresh strawberry. my daughter tried the Matcha original donut, and it was very heavy on the Matcha flavor so much that it had a bit of bitterness to it. So if you like Matcha, I would definitely recommend it. But for me, it was a bit too much. Was icing. The Matcha was a thick icing they had on top of the donut. I found it overpowering. I couldn't even taste the doughnut. My husband got the salted caramel which in most cases is very sweet, but it wasn't at all. Very light and flavor, but he loved it! It had just enough saltiness and sweetness and a lot of cream. It was a very simple shop and didn't have much decor. Looks like they used to have seating but now they only have tables for stand and dine. It look like they brought out fresh donuts throughout the day. The staff was very friendly. I'm not much of a good person, but I would go again.

Yelp
Great donuts!! The shop itself is a little barebones so I wouldn't meet someone here for coffee time, etc. There's basically a donut counter and that's it. No seating, no little tables, etc. The donuts themselves are great!! Cereal & milk was definitely a winner with its crunch exterior and not too sweet custard filling (though I didn't really taste the milk flavor). I do appreciate the fact that even day old, the doughnuts weren't overly greasy and still retained their fluffiness. Definitely a high quality doughnut that's not crazily over the top expensive either!
