Mellqvist Cafe & Bar

Found this place walking the streets on a cold Dec morning at 7.30am. Warm, cozy ambience and delicious treats, and absolutely phenomenal coffee. I struggle to find good drip/filter coffee in Europe usually, so this was a lovely find. Can’t recommend it enough!

Great sandwiches, good coffee, freshly made sandwiches very delicious. Staff is very friendly, will deninetly suggest. Not tourstic very well for being a local travel.

Amazing vibe, absolutely lovely in the summer to sit outside, though the interior is stunning too. Brilliant croissant — albeit expensive, but think of it as paying for the experience I guess. And there is a bathroom! Will definitely be back

Nice cafe and easy to find. It seems crowded all the time. The staff is very quick and responsive. We tried bread 🥪 and coffee. They are generous for coffee ☕ refill and take away. All is 👍. We enjoyed and had a good time. Must try when you're in Stockholm 💛

This place has its vibe, and i think it is good to drink wine with your friends during dinner time. Desserts are decent, and coffee was tasty (both latte and brew). But I can't say the same about food, I was thinking about pizza but when I saw how it's just laying on the counter and waiting for someone to order it for it to be put in the oven made me sad. Pizza is not authentic, but everything else is okay. Also prices are not the cheapest and I guess it is because of the location so be ready to pay some money for small cup of coffee and a peace of bread with prosciutto and mozzarella (also it was really salty i wish it had less salt)

I stopped by for breakfast, and it was a delight! The coffee was rich and satisfying, and the focaccia was absolutely delicious, packed with flavorful nuts.

Really cozy place for breakfast/brunch, weekends are pretty crowded with locals, but I guess this is the charm of it. Good coffee that dark roasted I like with tasty Scandinavia buns/cakes/sandwiches highly recommended.

a perfect breakfast place, a bit hard to find a place to seat but it doesn’t take long. the staff are all nice and helpful. the food are amazing. I ordered sandwich with egg and caviar and a glass of orange juice, costs me around 110 kr, but worth the price. will definitely come back to try another pastries & sandwiches.

Crazy competition from nextdoor Mellqvist but... Stockholm's best blueberry pancakes - bar none - Non Solo Bar on Rörstrandsgatan take their Blueberry pancakes really seriously. Also, their cardamom buns are top notch - perfect balance. The rest of their menu, and their service I will let others comment on - but we keep returning for their blueberry pancakes. I should clarify that they are regular american pancakes with tons of blueberries and raspberries on top - no blueberries in the batter. At Rörstrandsgatan - located in in the heart of Birkastan - are cafes and restaurants lined up like a string of pearls. Non Solo Bar is one of those popular places. Especially during summer since one can sit on the patio and watching all the people passing by while sipping on one of Stockholm's greater coffees. But here's the thing... I wouldn't sit inside since it's very impersonal and dull. Anyhow, I haven't tried their lunches for years, but I think their breakfast is of a rather high standard (somewhat pricey, though). If you decide to visit this place I can particularly recommend their pastries, which are exceptionally mouthwatering when freshly baked.

First things first. This place will always be Han Solo Bar to me. You want to go here on a sunny day, and you do it because its location. Rörstrandsgatan has a constant flow of commuters coming and going between the subway station and the train station, and this place is right in the middle and perfect to grab a seat and do some serious people watching. Food menu has a pretty varied selection of all things café-food to put in your tummy and it's probably overpriced because you know, Sweden. But for me the winner is the 65kr Flying Dog IPA, with a cookie of sorts, then grab said seat in the sun and just sit and enjoy that shit. With Mellqvist Café next door, a corner ICA grocery store across, and more restaurants lining up down the street, this area has a good neighborhood vibe to it with a reliable pulse. Great coffe and is the core of Rörstrandsgatan. Sit outside in the sun in summer and spring and go inside for a cozy feeling the rest of the year.

I ordered a coffee and a club sandwich. The coffee was fine but the club sandwich was an epic failure, served with potato chips (not French fries), filled with carry and barbecue sauce as a topping on a small sandwich.
