Melody Hostel

This is really like a budget hotel with shared bathrooms. The bathrooms have a few toilets and several showers and were clean. There is a nice variety of tea and coffee in the common space. The double room was basic but comfortable. The TV wasn't yet hooked up but the bed was comfortable and there were outlets by the bed.||The location is a minute from the square and easy enough to get to the train station by bus.

This is hostel in the middle of the city, the location couldn't be better. Free breakfast is included. The whole hostel is spacious, very clean and neat. I had a single room for myself (yes, this is possible!) and it was a very nice room. There is much decoration and many references to the 'Melody' part of the hostel. Excellent wifi as well. The only negative part is that this hostel is on the fourth floor with no elevator, so be prepared to walk some stairs if you stay here.

This hostel has got the price of a hostel but it definitely has the comfort of a hotel. It's located in the middle of the old town so you just need to go out of the door and you are in the middle of the city life. Everything is really clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The hostel offers free tea and coffee as well as fresh fruits and water. I had a great stay there and would definitely highly recommend it!

Stayed here few times, as I choose this place every time I visit this city. Location - perfect, 10 meters from main square. Very clean place that also has few rooms with bathroom in their offer - not a very common thing for hostels. Another thing - they serve breakfast, quite modest, but again you wouldn't expect a breakfast in hostel! Free Internet is also a big plus!||Highly recommend. Reception staff very friendly and helpful.

It was my first time staying in the hostel. Perfect location, it is in the centre of Poznan. For those who like eating with a good price-quality relation like me: In addition to the tourist restaurants around.Needless to say, there are also bakeries where you can buy fresh bread (or cake like me...) for breakfast to eat at the nice clean kitchen/living room at the hostel. Tea and coffee are on the house in the hostel. The personnel was also very nice and helped me find the right public transport route to where I was heading the next day. And the reception is of course open 24h. The room and bathroom were very clean. I'd definitely go to this place again.

I was here in summer 2018. Please be warned: this hostel is under the roof of a multistore building. When the weather is very warm, as it was when I visited Poznan, it is unbearable to stay in the rooms! Moreover: it's four floors up, carrying your luggage on the stairs. And I couldn't even open the window at night, because of the noise of the street. There is a banking automat right underneath, so it's beeps (and noise of bars) all night long. And on top: my 1 person bedroom was next to the living room, where everyone can sit and in the morning have breakfast too. Apart from that: the atmosphere was rather depressing, guests were not open for contact. It felt more like a family pension, not like a hostel. And the place did not feel very clean, also due to the carpet (alert for travellers with allergies!). To be short: I looked for (and found) a nice little airbnb instead, because of the heat and the noise. Maybe the place is perfect for party people who don't sleep a lot, but not for me anyway.

We had booked a double room without bathroom. Very clean. No AC. Sanitary facilities were also very clean, but some equipment should be repaired. Very friendly staff. It’s a great place if you are young and here for partying all night long, it’s cheap and in the middle of the party zone. If you are here for visiting Poznan under cultural aspects I can’t recommend this place. It’s extremely loud (we were here at a friday, maybe it’s better at workdays). There were two fistfights under our window, dispersed by police. :) If you are motorists, like us, it’s really problematic to reach the hostel. The whole area is something like a pedestrian zone and shielded by road signs who forbid the entry for cars completed by a longer text in polish we can’t understand. Last but not least we ignored them with bad feelings. Parking is a problem. I can’t recommend to park your beloved car on the street cs the young drunken and angry party worriers are throwing bottles around. Threre is an open air guarded space for 40 zloty a night and hard to find. Finally we were parking in a shopping malls parking house for 100 zloty per night. In summary we lost about an hour to park our car and reach the accommodation.

I dont remember how much we did pay for the stay but i remember it was really fun. Perfect stay if you with friends and the focus is about that you going to have a nice time with friends. maybe not the stay for your first trip girlfriend but they had some nice room for that. but after all i recommend the stay if you travel for a good price.
