"The West Hollywood stretch of Melrose Avenue is my favorite place to shop because of its contemporary offerings: Toteme, Redone, Vivienne Westwood, and Ulla Johnson are just some of the stores you'll find on the street. (If we’re making New York comparisons, think about it as the Soho of Los Angeles whereas Rodeo Drive is the Fifth Avenue.) There are also a lot of great interior design stores, from a Soho Home to Ken Fulk’s first brick-and-mortar shop." —Elise Taylor"

Melrose Avenue is a must-visit for fashion lovers and anyone who enjoys unique stores. From vintage shops to high-end boutiques, there’s something for everyone. I love just walking around and checking out all the street art and murals. The area also has amazing cafes and restaurants, so it's the perfect place for a day of shopping and people-watching

Have you ever walked around LA and found yourself thinking “where do you even get an outfit like that??” It is very possible the answer is the Melrose Arts District (motion to shorten this to MAD “want to meet for coffee in the MAD”). Any aesthetic outside of the mainstream can be found here and often is still expensive AF. Secondhand Gucci strawberry jeans for $800? They got ‘em. Or if a blazer that was featured in a technicolor dream coat competition and didn’t win is more your style, it is also findable in one of many vintage clothing stores. There are TONS of cute finds and many quality coffee shops, dessert spots, pizza places, tattoo parlors, and barber shops. Even if you are not shopping, grab a coffee and walk the strip. There is a lot to see. Oh and there is a place for insta girlies to stand in front of graffiti wings to look hip. Parking is a super ok situation. Aka good luck.

Not very upscale, or fairly priced based on the fact many of the stores sell second hand clothes from the 90s. Not really impressed from all the hype. However, the murals of Kobe and AD are very impressive and made the trip down Melrose worthwhile

I chose to go out and go to a shop at this shopping center to purchase another pair of shoes since it is only five minutes from my place. . I got my new, lovely shoes here. It was so great and. The cost additionally was not very pricy. Proceed to begin your shopping!

Love the area to walk around! Its one of my go-to places whenever I’m in LA, it’s colorful and lively, with amazing stores and lots of instagram-worthy spots. Our favorite area was closer to Alfred Tea Room for more upscale, pink backdrops, and to the East theres more black, urban settings — its great for variety! Would definitely recommend to visit even if you’re not planning on shopping!

It's a little dodgy but the graffiti is absolutely amazing!

Great little shopping district with good vibes for tourists and locals both! Perfect for a nighttime stroll in the summer time! It'd be much nicer if there were more trees and sidewalk benches though.
