Melrose was our dream venue, and our wedding day was a dream to fit. Every detail that we imagined was perfectly executed, from the linens to the silverware, to the centerpieces. We had a bit of a challenge when we dropped our neon sign off to be installed on the wall and realized I didn’t think through how to hang it. Kimball came to the rescue and literally drove in rush hour traffic to get fishing like for us to make sure our sign was hung before our ceremony. The entire staff of Tuxedos and Tennis Shoes were attentive and kind and food was delicious. We were staffed with two bartenders and there was never a wait. Things ran smoothly the entire night so that my husband and I were able to enjoy ourselves. I cannot recommend Kimball enough. She honestly made everything so stress free, and made us feel like a friend instead of a client. She went above and beyond in every aspect of the year and day leading up to our wedding, and we feel so loved and cared for. If I could give her 10 stars I would!

Sara was amazing throughout the entire planning process and recommended our DOC Shelby who we could not have done it without! If you are looking for a beautiful venue with amazing catering, amazing customer service, awesome staff and the BEST coordinator around... look no further! Melrose Market Studios was a dream come true to work with! I cannot say ONE bad thing. There wasn’t one thing I’d change and I can gush about everything. First, the venue is beautiful and a great canvas for an intimate evening celebrating love. It’s lighting is perfection for beautiful photos and the setup makes it easy to host a lot of people. The venue is clean and comes with great lights, a nice bathroom, a back area to store and also to have a place to hide before the ceremony. The staff. Now I am a real stickler when it comes to customer service... The coordinator for the venue and catering, Hanna Dillard is an absolute blessing! She is responsive, flexible, easy to work with, organized, efficient, helpful and truly made this experience amazing. There were cheaper places but none that came with her! We went a little over budget but she made it possible to spend the money where we wanted and how we wanted! Can’t say enough good things about working with her. The staff was THE BEST. Bartenders, servers, the opener to the space.. she was just there to open doors but ended up helping decorate and it was beautiful because of her! The staff made our wedding stress free and really helped out with everything. I can’t recommend this place enough, seriously. THE BEST!! Costs are extremely competitive. They do it the right way. Catering company first, venue second. Meaning customer service and ability to work with couples to make their dream come true!

Melrose Market Studios & Tuxedos & Tennis Shoes Catering did an amazing job at executing our wedding reception. Throughout the planning stage, even with staff changes, Hanna Dillard and Emily Schiller were both extremely helpful. They answered any of our questions in a timely manner, were flexible when we needed to make sudden changes, always positive and excited to help us with whatever we needed. The day of our wedding all the staff we encountered were friendly, professional, and on top of it! The food was absolutely amazing, all our guests could not stop raving about their meal that night. All the staff made sure we had anything we needed, they would continually check in on us and bring as additional drinks or food as we mingled with our guests. Even when we ran out of beer during our cocktail hour, the staff not only brought in more beer from their warehouse but at one point even went to the store to purchase more to ensure our guests could continue to enjoy their drink of choice. Our wedding reception was absolutely perfect, thank you to the amazing staff at Melrose Market Studios. We highly recommend Melrose Market Studios as one of the top wedding venues in Seattle!

Great wedding reception venue! I went here for a friend's reception and it was cool and we could be as loud as we wanted. There was space to dance, eat, and get drinks at a bar. The string lights and brick backdrop are super cool without having to do anything to them.

Great atmosphere. There service was wonderful and the food was really good. However it's over priced for the amount of food you get. Example four carrot halves was $9 or $10, all cocktails are $13, and for dessert a spoonful of chocolate ganache is $10. I love the market concept of this place but I probably won't be back for dinner again.

We hosted our wedding at Melrose Market Studios in May this year and couldn’t be any happier with their services. Hanna Dillard, the event manager, was efficient, responsive, organized, and accessible throughout the process from reserving the date to the day of. We went without a wedding planner and were able to do this because of the level of professionalism and preparedness by Hanna and the company beforehand. In terms of the service with Tuxedos and Tennis Shoes Catering, all of our guests were RAVING about the food, most saying it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would!

This such a beautiful venue! I would definitely recommend taking a moment and looking around, even if you don't plan to eat or buy anything. I had a sandwich at the little sandwich/soup/salad place. For $12, I had a turkey, avocado, and bacon sandwich that was amazing. Although, there were no sides provided with the sandwich, which was disappointing.

My fiancé and I visited this venue today as a possibility for our wedding. The space itself is.. a little underwhelming. The lighting and draping is nice however, it seemed a little claustrophobic. When we asked to see albums of prior wedding events they weren't prepared with any and they told us to visit their Facebook page instead. There wasn't ANY area for a bride to get ready. Seeing as they host weddings, you'd think they'd have some area for the bride/bridal party to be and they don't and when I asked if they provided it.. they guided me to storage area.. and mentioned that I get ready in a STAIRWELL. Wtf. Just no. Anyway, if you're on a tight budget or just don't mind getting ready for one of the biggest days of your life in a stairwell, then.. you've hit the jackpot. Overall I was pretty disappointed.

My wife and I booked our wedding through Tuxedos and Tennis Shoes catering and Melrose Market Studios on March 22nd, 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we had to make some tough decisions. They took the time to work with us, were understanding of our situation and able to work with us on what the best steps were moving forward. We are excited to work with them on future events!

Having our wedding reception at Melrose Market Studios was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Sara was our event producer and she was extremely sweet, prompt, and helpful from the very first email. She gave us lots of details and options so that we could keep our budget in mind while making each decision, and helped us remember when our payment/planning deadlines were without making us feel rushed. Covid was always top of mind for us during planning and we were so thankful that Sara was always willing and able to answer our questions to the best of her ability, and keep us updated on the venue's safety requirements even as guidelines changed rapidly. When we had a brief panic where we weren't sure whether we'd be able to have the reception, Sara gave us a ton of options and kept us calm so we were able to figure out a plan to make our event happen. We absolutely loved the space at Melrose, it has the ability to be exceptionally classy but wasn't too stuffy for our punk rock sensibility. We were also extremely excited that Tuxedos and Tennis Shoes had not just one but TWO fully vegan menus that we could choose from and the food was absolutely incredible - especially the mushroom wellington that both vegan and non-vegan guests raved about. On the day of the event, Joe was our main contact and he was a joy to work with as well. He was friendly and helpful from the moment we walked into the venue and I thought it was so sweet that he made sure we got little plates of all the passed appetizers during cocktail hour so we didn't forget to eat! The staff made sure to pack us boxes of each dish on the menu and slices of our cake, and even carefully extracted and packed up the sugar flowers from our cake so we could take them home safely. After the event, Sara was available for our questions and followed up with us to make sure our deposit refund check was received. I would recommend Melrose Market Studios, Tuxedos and Tennis Shoes, and D Squared to anyone for a wedding/reception or any other event. They truly helped create the perfect night for us!

We used Melrose Market Studios as our wedding venue and we loved it!!! Everyone complimented how our space was super warm and intimate. We had about 170 people there, 17 tables, and just enough room for a dance floor. I will say, that Melrose Market Studios says they can fit up to 220, we invited just over 220, but seeing how crowded it was with 170 I am super grateful that only 170 of our guests could make it. I feel like 220 might have been a tight squeeze. Also, Melrose Market Studios doesn't have a dressing room for the Bride, at first I was a little worried about this but everything worked out perfectly! We staged at Bar Ferdinand and the wedding party had a couple of glasses of wine while we were waiting for the ceremony to start, the bridal party entered through the back and the groomsmen entered through the front, with two entrances, we didn't really need a staging area. There is AC, but it did get a little warm, or maybe I just felt warm from running around :) The venue coordinator was also super flexible with our use of the space and was able to have nearly the whole day to set up!

Melrose Market Studios was an addition to the regular roster of Decibel venues this year, and whoever is responsible for that made a seriously good choice. The venue itself is on the smallish end of midsize and has an intimate industrial chic vibe. The sound wasn't perfect - all the concrete gets a little echo-y towards the back, but it was surprisingly good. The bathrooms were also surprisingly clean and well-maintained for a festival venue, the staff working were professional and quick to scan IDs and wristbands, and the location simply cannot be beat. I look forward to going to more events at this space in the future - it seems like a venue that can be easily transformed into an appropriate setting for a wide range of events. An A+ location to get my weird aggressive minimal dance on!

I had my wedding reception at this venue with Tuxedo and Tennis Shoes Catering this last Saturday. I'll just review as the night progressed from the beginning: I was able to load in my equipment/decorations at the alotted time (15 minutes early actually) and was warmly greeted by the houseman. All the tables chairs and linens were placed exactly how I wanted it. Another staff member arrived shortly after and greeted me, offered to assist me in any way she could. There was more than plenty of outlets for all the audio and visual equipment so setup was a breeze. The lighting and temperature was simple to navigate and customize. All of the staff were amazing and helpful. Their personalities definitely added to my guests experience. The bartenders made great cocktails and the servers were swift in cleaning up any left utensils or plates, as well as repositioning the chairs. I was given plenty of time to break down, and load out everything I brought in with as much assistance from the staff as I would request. The food was fantastic, the venue looked great at night, I have heard nothing but compliments from my guests about essentially every aspect of the event. I am more than pleased and eager to recommend the company as well as the venue for my colleagues should they plan an event in the future. Having been a service staff employee for many years I was definitely impressed with the professionalism, assertiveness, and ease of planning all elements of the reception with my contact Hanna representing T&TSC. I recently had my wedding reception at Melrose Market Studios. It is a beautiful, industrial, large space. The preferred caterers were great, and management for Melrose Market Studios was VERY helpful. The location is right in the heart of capitol hill, so it's very convenient to get to, and I'm glad to have the memory of my wedding reception there.

Really great space! I was recently hosted there for a work even and the space is very pretty. I could almost picture a rustic wedding setting in here with the string lights and curtains. Right down the street from many shops, and very walkable from downtown. Would definitely use again.

I visited this space several times last week for special events associated with the decibel music festival. Really enjoyed the aesthetic of the venue, it appeared to have good catering/restroom facilities, and it was conveniently located near other restaurants and bars. I'm eager to check out this space for another event in the future.

I just had my first event at Melrose Market Studios and LOVED IT! The space is beautiful and totally versitile. Many of my guests hadn't been to Melrose Market before so those who walked through before heading downstairs were all charmed! On the planning end, the space manager worked with our budget. And, my favorite, we were given detailed set up and clean up instructions and left to use the space how we pleased. I was happy to have that freedom (and the budget break of not having to pay someone to staff the space). I definitely recommend Melrose Market Studios for your next event!

I have been to one event in Melrose Market Studios and I loved it. The venue is beautiful and very roomy. They specialize in weddings and special events.

Beautiful event space in the historical Melrose Market Building in Capitol Hill, Seattle. The location was fabulous (right up the hill from Downtown). Amazing caterers with lots of great options, good sound system, and the management was great to work with. Highly recommend!

The moment my husband and I walked into MMS, we knew this is where we wanted to get married. The space is fresh, urban and just plain cool. Stacy was super easy to work with and even took down lights that I didn't want up (I'm sure a huge pain). The contract was straight forward and the space ridiculously affordable. We were overcharged (an oversight) at the end, but Stacy took care of it right away, so no need to ask multiple times (kind of refreshing). The space is a little dark, but we softened it with lights and LOTS of candles. In the end, it was romantic, which was exactly what I was going for. There are hooks in the brick wall that were perfect for displaying large family photos (looked like an art gallery) and the concrete shelf that juts out of the brick wall was perfect for rows upon rows of candles. In the end, we had more people come than expected, so the dance floor was a little tight, but that just made it more intimate. They also have a list of caterers, so you're not forced to use one in particular (we used Skillet and they were awesome). I would have another event here in a heartbeat. Thanks you MMS and Stacy! We had an awesome night--it couldn't have been better.
