Melrose Place Boutique Hotel & Conferencing

I stayed at Melrose place while visiting my mom in South Africa for two weeks. From the moment you arrive the owner and the staff go out of their way for you. Being there in the winter, I had a gas heater in my room, and an electric blanket! Another big bonus is getting a wonderful breakfast in the morning, including muffins, eggs, yogurt, fruit, and a variety of beverages. Most importantly, I felt very secure with a electric fence surrounding the property, and wonderful, helpful security guards 24/7. If you are looking for a home away from home rather than staying in a hotel this is a place! I highly recommend Melrose Place! Fran Sher. Chicago

Thoroughly enjoyed staying here.|The team was very welcoming and enthusiastic, ensuring I immediately felt at ease.|Set in a very quiet, beautiful garden, the room was very comfortable. The hotel is also very conveniently located to Sadton, Rosebank and Melrose Arch. |And a great breakfast was served.

We had an extended stay in South Africa and Melrose became our home away from home. Delicious breakfast everyday, clean rooms, and beautiful gardens. I would highly recommend! We felt very safe here with 24 hour security and the service was excellent. They truly go above and beyond to make you feel welcome.

We stayed here for a night while in transit in Johannesburg and were so pleasantly surprised! The owner, Sue, is wonderful and so helpful, as is the entire staff. The rooms are spacious and have everything we need. The location is great, near everything, and there's a lovely garden surrounding the rooms, making it seem like a little oasis from the city. Jasmine was blooming right outside our door. Breakfast is included and it was great, eggs made to order, toast, fruit, coffee, and served with a smile. We were so happy with this lodging, we returned for 2 more nights at the end of our trip before returning to the US. We would definitely stay here again

I recently stayed at a delightful guest lodge that I can’t recommend enough. Nestled within a garden of enormous, old, shady trees, the lodge feels like a peaceful haven. The property features a sparkling blue pool that’s perfectly framed by the dining hall—a beautifully decorated space with fine furnishings that exude elegance and charm. The rooms are equally stunning. Each one is tucked away in the lush gardens, offering a sense of privacy and quaintness. Inside, they are adorned with luxurious interiors and the finest linens, making your stay feel truly indulgent. The host and owner, Sue, is the heart of this place. Her warm hospitality is unmatched. Upon arrival, she poured me a glass of wine, and we had a lovely chat—it was like catching up with an old friend. Sue’s care and attention to detail extend to the food, which is absolutely divine. For lunch, we enjoyed roast beef and chicken with perfectly cooked butternut, spinach, and potatoes, followed by homemade apple pie for dessert. The meals are a testament to her passion for creating a memorable experience for her guests. To top it all off, the prices are incredibly reasonable for the level of luxury, comfort, and personal touch you receive. It’s truly a hidden gem.

First stay at Melrose Place, checked in to a spacious comfy room with a king size bed, plenty of cupboard space, clean en-suite bathroom and serviced daily. Breakfast served was simple yet fresh and a perfect start to the day. Safe and secure parking.

Attended a two day workshop, but didnt stay over. Staff and friendly and helpful. Venue is perfect.

From the moment we arrived Sue and the team could not do enough for us. ||We arrived at 07:30 and Sue had a room available for us to check in at a very reasonable rate. ||The grounds were immaculate and is a slice of a jungle oasis in Johannesburg. ||Rooms were cleaned daily to a great standard. ||The hotel feels extremely safe and the security guards on duty are attentive and caring ||This is my first time to Johannesburg and I will definitely be returning.
