Mel's Dorm

A lovely place which has very perfect location in the Batavia old town area. Even we just stayed for 1 night, but it's worth to stay there because not far from the landmark.||It's a new place but the staff is very helpful and friendly, always try to provide what we need. :-) ...||But the room where we stayed was too small for 2 people. We booked private room but it feels more like private dorm or something since the door has no lock. Which is for us that was still okkay, but for some travelers they prefer to have lock in their private room. Also the AC was leaking the whole night and make some area wet. The breakfast was very basic, but okkay for one night stay. We love the public area (restaurant) with beautiful colonial-indie scenery from the window most!!||~ ~ ~||

Mel's Dorm is an affordable hostel in the centre of Old Town, located on the 2nd floor. If you want to stay in Jakarta's old town this is the perfect spot. It can be difficult to cross the busy road with a large suitcase. The staff at the hostel are very accommodating and helpful, it was nice hanging out with them. They gave us great tips on where to explore and helped us getting around Jakarta. The Indonesian breakfast in the morning was nice, there is a kitchen you can use and it is a new hostel so everything is clean. The rooms are cosy but worth what you pay, bring an eye mask as the rooms have windows and can be very bright.

Nice dorm. Lot of foreigners stay here. Friendly staff. They ready to help. But their english need improvement. The room and the bed is so nice and clean. They have a good design. The shower is good too. They provide hot water for shower. The most favourite is the breakfast place. The screnery of kota tua from this breakfast is beautifull.. But its quite hard to find a place to hv a midnight dinner. The area around the hostel is not good kinda dirty and lot of weirdo people.

It is well managed for super cheap hotel with dormitory style. They have instagrammable room and fit with backpackers or travel group. However, they only provide 1 mattress-size room for private type so be aware for people who might have phobia of narrow place.

Clean and nice dorm, many option rooms. Great spot for sunset, near Kali Besar. Located in central of Jakarta Old town, you just simply walking to visit many historical places in old town.

Nice place very clean and central. Most photo are the back but taxi does not arrive here so a little confusing especially at night. Entrance is beside the 3D Art Museum see enclosed photos

Mel's Dorm is low budget accommodation for backpackers. Available dormitory room, include breakfast. The prices are affordable, starting USD 8 ( approximately IDR 118.000). Good atmosphere and very colourful of doors, Spacious room and clean. Available up to 15 mix dormitory. Situated in 3rd floor of Kerta Niaga building, Kota Tua Jakarta.

3.8 i would say. - no tissue (bring your own) - no shower gel/shampoo. (Provided but empty already nobosy refills it) - i have an unsafe feeling with my valuables around. Cant lock the door properly. - i have no place to hang my tower! Good side - clean - comfortable bed.
