Meltar Boutique Hotel (Asiago, Veneto) 2 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Parma, Bologna, Prosecco: a list of Italian destinations can sound, rather deliciously, like a glorious spread of antipasti and aperitivi. Diehard cheese enthusiasts will be pleased to learn that the Asiago Plateau is a real place — and a strikingly beautiful one at that — northwest of Venice in the province of Vicenza. And it gets better: there’s an excellent hotel up here in the mountains. Meltar Boutique Hotel is located inside a restored old farmhouse in the middle of, well, nowhere, making it a perfectly tranquil getaway from the tourist crush of the Veneto." - Tablet Hotels

This was one of the best hotels we have ever been to, if not the best. For our 10th wedding anniversary, we traveled there for a long weekend - 4 days/3 nights and it was worth it. Such a beautiful, well-appointed, cozy hotel - the quaint breakfast room, the lounge, the library. We arrived on a Thursday and had the place practically to ourselves! It was great. We had hoped for snow but it was unseasonably sunny and warm. The surroundings are beautiful either way. The service was outstanding, personal and warm. The concierge was so helpful and friendly. The SPA was also one of the best Spas we have visited - cozy lounge chairs, a library, small pool to relax in. Everything is just beautifully decorated in a mix of modern chalet with antique touches. If you like small, charming hotels, this is the place for you. We will definitely come back again. Thank you Meltar!

Have been coming to this place for lunches and dinners along 7 years with husband (who played golf as well there) and family members during summer time. Recently the manager has totally got out of control. They charged 100 euros without notice for a ‘private call room’. They assigned tables from which the main operation manager, Mr Andrea, kicked us out for the dinner time (same day after the lunch!) out saying that we cannot come just for tea (we just consumed lunch with dessert). The manager was shamelessly rude and red in face of anger because the place most of the time is empty. We mentioned we won’t ever return there as no one bad experience in no place around the globe is comparable to this one star service. The manager Andrea answered that he prefer to keep the place empty rather than having us sitting (are we too beautifully dressed for this mountain place?!). ———- Thanks to Andre we discovered a much better panoramic and beautiful restaurant: Linta Hotel. ———- Overall review of Meltar: Fantastic atmosphere and place made it unbearable and squalid by the same people who manage it. Very rood and unprofessional. Last cherry on the dessert. About food: a frozen tiramisu in Italy! Seriously? Change management from the last waiter to the general manager of the restaurant.

We had the chance to spend a long relaxing weekend in 2012 at this beautiful boutique hotel in Asiago.||The most remarkable thing, beside the location, is the small but fully equipped Spa where I had one of the best facial treatments I ever had in my life!||The massage I took was also well done and relaxing for real. The Spa has big windows overlooking the mountains surrounding the valley all around and while in the sauna or while sipping a herbal tee it is greatly inspiring and reenergizing to capture all the peaceful sensations coming from observing this landscape, especially when covered by the snow. Our room had a view on the golf course and it was nice and small. The restaurant of the hotel serves very good food and the entire atmosphere of the hotel is very elegant but not too formal. It is really worth a visit.

What a lovely, peaceful and relaxing place. This was my first visit to the spa. Me and my girlfriends spent the day redeeming the lovely massages given to us by our dear friend. I am Canadian/American living in Bassano and I was so impressed by the look and feel of the spa and overall structure. I was excited to know that a place this nice was so close to where i live. However, this place could be so much more if they learn one of the simple rules to running any business and that is customer service. Let me explain: 1. They allow more people into the spa then actual beds provided. 2. There is no one manning the relax area. There were dirty towels every where and I could not see where we could get clean fresh towels. 3. If and when a patron left the bed it was not cleaned nor made up immediately for the next guest to lie down. 4. When we left I was trying to purchase a gift for another one of my friends who was not with us that day and it was sooo painful. It was almost like they didn't want my money. Needless to say I was with a person who knew the spa manager and who is also a regular at the spa and we were still treated poorly. This place could be even better and more successful with repeat clients, word of mouth marketing based on the good experiences one gives their patrons if they just learn a little 101 in good old customer service.

Stayed there for 3days 2nights. So in love with this place! During the first day of our stay, we were the only guest in the hotel. The staff was kind enough to ask our preferred time for breakfast, and the next day, he prepared a whole spread of breakfast for us. Eventhough there were only the two of us. Outstanding! I was so touched.||||This hotel is small yet charming. Tastefully furnished. Each corner has its own character. It is located in the mountain, on a golf course in the middle of the woods. And yes, the view is to die for. During my stay, two of my local italian friends came visit, it was their first time in the hotel too and they absolutely love it! Not to forget the beautiful spa, i really enjoy the indoor and outdoor heated pool. ||||Btw i am a big fan of tiramisu. I eat tiramisu whenever i can. I have to say that i had the best tiramisu in this hotel restaurant. Savoiardi base biscuits topped with light fluffy cream thats not too sweet. Poured the freshly brewed espresso on top of it. Yes, not traditional. By far, the best tiramisu i ever had in italy! ||||I love this place, the view is amazing. The staffs are always smiling, friendly and kind. Good food, great tiramisu! I will definitely go back again!

We stayed at the Meltar in October 2011 for 3 nights which was not long enough. The hospitality of this remarkable accommodation was way more than we had bargained for. The spa was so amazing and relaxing and we were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves but this did not make the staff less attentive to our needs. We enjoyed the most amazing massages and spent lots of time warming up in the sauna after riding our motor bike in the cool climate of Asiago in the fall. The day we were to visit Venice was a little cold and rainy so the staff suggested we leave the moto at the hotel take the train. We were chauffeur driven to the station and picked up again in the afternoon, returning to the lovely Meltar being greeted with a glass of bubbly and then ushered to the spa to warm up in the sauna before enjoying a lovely meal in the quaint restaurant at the hotel. To say we (or at least I) are fussy travelers would be an understatement and I can honestly say that the Meltar is one of the loveliest places we have ever stayed. I could write for hours about it. Please do yourself a favor and stay here, it is truly a memorable experience. Thank you to all the staff who made our stay amazing. We will be back one day.

There are many positive things to say about the Meltar but the most outstanding one is the staff... they are so friendly, helpful, polite and professional. They showed us where everything was, how everything worked in the Spa and just couldn't do enough for us. The Spa was wonderful; very peaceful and restful. Plenty of towels and a variety of infusion teas and when they'd run out of my favourite flavour, a member of staff managed to find a couple more. The Spa staff were so calm, friendly and helpful. Sitting in the outdoor jacuzzi surrounded by beautiful snow covered mountains was amazing. The hotel receptionist was outstanding; very professional, helpful and friendly and gave us good directions for car parking in Venice (about 1hr 40 minutes away by car) and other good advice. We had 2 meals in the hotel (in addition to the lovely breakfasts) and they were wonderful. The chef chatted to us about what we'd like to eat and then cooked it fresh for us with delicious local ingredients! The same with the breakfasts! The waiters were really helpful, friendly and professional. On our wedding anniversary, the hotel staff gave us a lovely gift of toiletries and everyone congratulated us. All the staff were friendly without being intrusive. The rooms were cleaned to a very high standard and the suite we had was a great size, had a large bed, table, lounge chairs, fantastic bath and facilities... and magnificent views from both juliet balconies! There were lots of lovely lounges to sit and relax in dotted around the hotel. As you can probably tell, we loved it! We will definitely be going back and taking our 3 children and their partners! Thank you to all the staff for such a fantastic stay! Tina and Kevin

We had a very enjoyable weekend here. The rooms are generous and well appointed, the breakfast room is elegant and has great local offerings and the day spa was wonderful. The views from all sides are wonderful and offer a real feeling of seclusion.
