Lovely hotel in a good location. Thank you to reception staff - Sunita, Ritik and Tejal for our room upgrade and lovely gestures for our special anniversary. Appreciated this very much. The service at breakfast needs reviewing and I have informed the reception staff and completed a feedback form to this effect. The staff do not even smile, service is sooo slow. Omg you need to improve the making if your massla chai as it was awful. This is a 5 star hotel however your service at breakfast needs vastly improving as this is no way 5 star. The porters were very helpful. We are returning again and hope to see a vast improvement at breakfast.

We booked Meluha as it was recommended. And we are so glad we did as it did not disappoint in any manner. From the moment we stepped through the doors, we were welcomed not as guests but as old friends. The doormen took care of our bags and ensured the first impressions were how the stay was going to be. Monty was the General Manager and again, he was amazing in that check in was smooth, he looked after our requests and as a large group ensured we had rooms close together. A special mention for Dilip Bhai at the door. He made sure nothing was too much and even helped locate shopping deliveries by speaking with the relevant stores. The hotel itself was clean, the food was amazing (especially breakfast) and no dietary request was too much. The hotel is close to the local shopping malls, market stalls and restaurants. It is central to the area. It is also around 45 minutes by rickshaw/taxi to Mumbai downtown and a good place to return to after a long day shopping. There is no place else I would stay on my next trip to Mumbai.

Spacious rooms, comfortable beds and powerful ac. Great service from all staff members including front desk and restaurant staff. However the rooms and tv, kettle etc are dated and need a full update. The shower/bath/toilet area had all transparent doors - who wants to see your partner poop or bathe 😕 Location is great and convenient for Powai area, BKC, marine drive etc

The frondesk staff is not efficient. The red uniform females are not trained properly and don't know how to talk to guests. They need to be trained properly and be little receptive, when a guest arrives. We booked through go ibibo and made full payment for the stay. But when we came to check in, we were made to wait for half n hour by the frondesk staff, just to confirm that we made the payment. That's ridiculous. When the booking was made through Go ibibo, it is but obvious that that the payment is done. What's the point in keeping the guests waiting for 1/2 hour. Although we were offered a welcome drink to compensate for it, but they finally got a confirmation abt our payment. The red uniform lady just came back to the reception and doing her work. When we asked her , she just said "it's all done". No apology, nothing for the delay or keeping us waiting. Later we mentioned that we have 10% discount on our gibibi booking on food order, the red uniform lady just replied "I don't know. May be". Is this the answer u expect from the frondesk staff? Ridiculous!!!. Btw, we weren't given any 10 % discount on any of our order. 🤢

We had a wonderful experience at Tiara restaurant. The food was excellent, but what truly made our visit special was the warm hospitality and attentive service. A big thank you to Imran, Ibrahim, Manas, Anurag, Vaishnavi (C), and Vaishnavi for their professionalism, friendliness, and constant attention to detail.||Each of them went the extra mile to ensure we were comfortable and well looked after. Their smiles and prompt service really enhanced our dining experience.||Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food paired with exceptional service. Will surely visit again!

Disappointing stay – falling way short of 5-star standards I had high expectations for Meluha The Fern given its strong reputation as a 5-star ecotel in Powai, but unfortunately, my mothers recent stay was quite disappointing. The room had visible cobwebs in the corners and mold spots on the ac vents, which was surprising and unhygienic—even budget 3-star hotels maintain better cleanliness in these areas. Basic amenities were also incomplete: only one toothbrush was provided despite the booking being for two guests, there was no toilet paper in the bathroom, and the in-room fridge was locked and inaccessible. These small but essential details felt overlooked and added to the sense that basic upkeep was neglected. I'm not even going into the insect problems which I understand is beyond your control at times. Additionally, despite our booking clearly including breakfast, the staff approached us twice to claim it wasn't included. On the third visit, they finally asked to screenshot our confirmation before accepting it. This repeated confusion was frustrating and not the smooth service one expects from a reputed property. The location in Powai's Hiranandani Gardens is convenient, but overall, the experience didn't match the hotel's past fame. I'm avoiding staying here or recommending this to any of my friends in the near future. Hope management addresses these maintenance, amenity, and staff training issues soon.

A Haven of Light, Care, and True Hospitality From the moment my mother, sister, and I arrived at Meluha, The Fern, we were met with compassion that went far beyond what one expects from a hotel. My mother was recovering from an injury, and later, I fractured my arm while in India — yet the entire team cared for us with such empathy, wisdom, and genuine kindness that we felt completely supported. Every staff member — from management to the restaurant team — radiated warmth and attentiveness. They seemed to anticipate our needs before we spoke them, creating a sense of family rather than formality. One of our most cherished memories was being invited to join the evening ritual of lighting lamps at 6:30 p.m., honouring the light within every guest and staff member. It was a deeply moving reminder that this hotel is more than a place to stay — it is a sanctuary of heart and humanity. Our deepest gratitude to everyone at Meluha, The Fern. You have set a standard of hospitality that is both rare and radiant. 🌿

Walking distance from restaurants and 2 markets where you can explore food, clothing's and other nick nacks. Room is clean and spacious, hot water works, amenities are available, the hoteliers are friendly and helpful. Breakfast has good selection, international and Indian, coffee and chai are freshly made. Make sure you check the order on the table menu available, there's prathas, dosas, etc which are great. Highly recommend will return.
