Melville Gap Guest House

We stayed at Melville Gap Guest House for one night as a weekend stopover and were genuinely impressed. We booked the family unit, which was spacious, exceptionally clean and surprisingly stylish for a guest house — excellent value for money. The room was very well equipped, with air conditioning, a Nespresso machine, both a gas and electric kettle, and an abundance of plug points for charging devices. The bathroom was massive and the hot water was fantastic. The bed and bedding were cosy, and the overall atmosphere was quiet, comfortable and secure. The host/manager was extremely friendly and attentive, which added to an already great experience. I would happily recommend Melville Gap Guest House to anyone — whether travelling for business, as a family, or just passing through for a short stay.

I received a hearty welcome and polite service at Mellville Gab Guest House when we arrived late the Thursday night there. We were staying in the self-catering service unit, however when we asked if they could prepare breakfast for us the next morning, they we eager to assist and we had a very delicious breakfast. I will definitely book there again.||Ps - Just put some still water in the fridge.

Melville Gap Guesthouse is a hidden gem in busy Melville. The outside patio area was so useful. The bedroom area very comfortable and the kitchenette was well stocked.

The room was clean and comfortable. I liked the area, it really felt safe. The manager was welcoming and friendly.

The house is beautiful and spacious for all the right reasons, the rooms are also super comfy and warm after running the heater on for a while. I was here for a business work related trip but given another chance I will definitely return for a more personal relaxing time.

we were rather disappointed as we only got a 50% refund. Unfortunately there was a out of ordinary snow fall on the night of the 20th September and all roads were closed to JHB so no travel was possible to enjoy our family get together to celebrate a 80th birthday. Cant believe it would amount to 50% of the booking for 12 people as an admin fee....I know my customers would have recieved a 100% refund in this situation . Very disappointed.

I’m happy about everything the beds were comfortable and room very neat, the lady assisting us on our arrival was soooooooo friendly
