"Accessed through a tiny passage in the Príncipe Real, an upscale residential neighborhood filled with centuries-old mansions and tranquil gardens, this 41-room property feels akin to a secret hideaway. Embodying modern Lisbon, rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows and contemporary decor like sleek metal consoles and soft faux-fur throws in neutral white, gray, and beige tones, and blond slatted-wood partitions separate sleeping areas from bathrooms stocked with Hermès toiletries. Other posh amenities include cocktail stations and, in some rooms, private balconies with outdoor fireplaces. But the hotel’s most magnificent luxury of all may be its terrace, which is dominated by a narrow outdoor pool that’s heated all year long, fabulously lit up at night, and perched on a hillside for sublime city views."

"If you’re choosing Lisbon, you’re already ahead of the curve: The Portuguese capital is slightly gritty, utterly charming, and often overlooked among travelers to the Iberian Peninsula. (Overlooked, needless to say, is quite often a good thing.) So it follows that you’ll want to choose a hotel in a neighborhood that’s off the beaten tourist path too, and we’ll let you in on one of the locals’ secrets: The neighborhood known as Príncipe Real is a corner of the city that’s beloved by locals in the know, and — we’re calling it now — the next big thing." - Tablet Hotels

Matiu at the front desk was so helpful and friendly. When I arrived earlier than the check-in time, he made sure to prioritize the preparation of my room and offered me a waiting room on the first floor in the meantime, where I could unwind and recharge. The tonic welcome drink with a fresh lime was a great touch and a fruit platter was also waiting for me. Overall, the room was spacious with a comfy bed and even a fireplace in the terrace. I was happy with the quality of breakfast and the amazing view by the pool. The location is also excellent. Thank you all for this wonderful stay!

One of the most memorable experience we had in recent times. From the time we walked in to the time we checked out, the entire team of Memmo Príncipe Real made us feel special. Their attention to detail and promptness to take care of even smallest of our needs exceeded our expectations. The room we stayed in was very artfully styled and curated with breathtaking view of the city. Location of the Hotel is very prime and central to the main Shopping district. The food in the restaurant had some good options for our Vegan palette. Will highly recommend to all our friends and family who will be visiting Lisbon in near future.

I love this boutique hotel. Amazingly quiet setting in the middle of Lisbon with spectacular views of the city. I can walk everywhere in Lisbon from here - no car needed. Beautifully and thoughtlfully decorated rooms. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. And a great restaurant! One of my favorites. I'll be back!

This is a boutique hotel with a lot of detail and design elements in it. I appreciate the thoughts that have been put into the hotel and we had a great welcoming check in upon arrival.||Room are not huge, considered small in fact and I was told they mostly have the same room-size throughout. Breakfast area is nice with a great view but it was a pity that during our stay, there were some construction and a huge crane arm obstructed the city view.||Hotel was conveniently located within close proximity to main shopping/dining areas and it has a very nice view of the city.||Staff and service quality varied a bit. While some deserved compliments (like the young gentleman serving breakfast), there could be room for improve for others. It could be a minor issues but its these things that could affect the overall impression of a stay. For example, we were offered welcome drinks vouchers at the bar during our stay. Upon redemption of the drinks, we also asked for some water, which is basically their in house filtered water. When we left, we were told those are charged. While it is not the cost of few Euros that bothers me, it's the hospitality factor that make me wonder why they are generous enough to offer a drink to your guests, and yet we have to pay for a small item that seemed to be complementary usually.||As a Bonvoy member, do not expect there will be additional recognition even if you are of the highest ambassador tier (as they are only a partner hotel and not part of the Marriott group). Probably the welcoming note in your room and breakfast is as far as you will get. I do believe there are also a lot of Bonvoy members staying in this hotel as I saw a stack of welcoming notes at the front desk.||This seems to be a trendy hotel as there was also a fashion event during our stay. While we were told we were welcomed to join, we never got the invitation.||The hotel rates are relatively high compared to other similar hotel grades so, probably there are other choices that may offer better quality.

Very attentive and delightful hospitality throughout our stay with an ideal location offering a spectacular view of Lisbon coupled with the peace and quiet of a location removed from the noise and hubbub of a big city — restful and rejuvenating. Yet close to excellent restaurants and rapid access to the sights of Lisbon. Staff was so accommodating and helpful in helping us get an early breakfast for a short day trip to southern Portugal, and providing umbrellas for the one day it was inclement. Great food and drink, super cappuccinos! Heartily recommended hotel!!

A beautiful, but all too brief, stay at this lovely, boutique property. The staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly and our room was superb. They’ve thought of everything a guest might enjoy. The views are stunning and their breakfast was top notch. We were celebrating our anniversary and they made it extra special. Will look forward to a future stay and can highly recommend to the discerning traveler.

My wife and I had the most wonderful 3 days here as one of our honeymoon stops. The service was absolutely top tier. The staff was so friendly and accommodating the entire time. Perfect location; quiet and private but just steps away from. Rooms were clean and beautiful. Just such a memorable experience. Next time we come back to Lisbon, we'll stay here again.

The Memmo Principe Réal is a perfect boutique hotel in Lisbon. Manuel and his colleagues were very professional and courteous, the rooms were beautiful and spacious with great views, the food was perfect and it is located within walking distance of Alfama and the castle. The only downsides are those related to a small hotel - if you arrive at 10:00 a.m. (as we did), you may have to wait for a room (as we did) and you may not be able to check-out late even with a high BonVoy status as they have less staff and rooms available to accommodate you.

Yelp
We LOVED Memmo PR Hotel! From before we even checked in to the very end of our stay, everything was fantastic. Manuel greeted us at our Uber and insisted on bringing our bags down the little hill to the hotel. The hotel is right off the main street, but right behind building so it feels quiet and peaceful yet still in a great location. The view from the hotel is stunning. Everyone was so friendly at check-in and they treat you like a VIP. We loved the room. It had lots of space, Great, closet, yoga mat, umbrella, a huge patio with a fireplace! There was a welcome cocktail in there for you and more welcome wine at the restaurant. They soon left a fruit platter in our room for us to enjoy. Bed was comfortable and the curtains were complete blackout curtains, making the room nice and dark at night. We didn't hear a peep while in our room. It was very quiet. Breakfast was great! They had a buffet and they also had a menu from which you could order from. We ate so much at breakfast every day. We really can't say enough good things about this hotel. We absolutely loved it and would love to stay at other. Memmo boutique hotels in the future.

Yelp
This is a lovely and unpretentious boutique hotel with amazing views past the outdoor lap pool and patio area. The staff is kind and helpful and genuinely welcoming. Even with a couple of problems (non-working plumbing and a continuous stream of little black ants) it was a very comfortable stay. Upon check in we were welcomed with a tasty mint/cinnamon tea. Our room was on the small side but typical for European hotels. We had a balcony with a real wood fireplace and a great view around the side. The bed was very comfortable and the towels were large and fluffy. There were electric outlets on each side of the bed as well as on the far wall and in the bathroom. It's a good thing we remembered our converters! There was a mini Nespresso machine with coffees and teas, a mini fridge and complimentary ingredients (including a fresh lime) for a Port Tonic (with the recipe) - it was very good! We were also given a welcome tray with a variety of cut fresh fruits and dates and the turn down service each evening included chocolates. The breakfast buffet was typical for a European breakfast (lots of meats and delicious cheeses and fresh fruit) with a menu for hot items. A bakery tower was placed on each table and juices and several types of coffee were available. This area is also the bar and restaurant area for lunch and dinner. We did have drinks one afternoon and checked out the menu which looked very good but we didn't have any other meals here. I would recommend this hotel for everyone staying in the Lisbon.

Yelp
We stayed for 6 nights in a city view superior room, and loved every part of it! Principe Real was the perfect place to spend our week; it felt like a great central location to all of the neighborhoods we wanted to spend time in. Lots of bars and nightlife in the immediate area, but the hotel is tucked away off the main street, so noise was never an issue. Close to LGBT nightlife as well, which was another plus for us! You're steps away from Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara, which has gorgeous panoramic views of the city, as well as a market and music a few days a week. Important to note though that the views from the hotel are nearly identical and more private, which was great for lounging late at night. The room was spacious and exceeded expectations. We received multiple complimentary drinks on arrival, and we had a small balcony with a gorgeous view of the city. What really made this stay so special was the staff. The front desk was friendly and made check in seamless. Each night we returned to a clean room with fresh sheets and towels, and even got nightly weather reports for the following day, as well as suggestions for activities. We especially loved João, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome during our stay. When we told him we were headed to Cascais for the remainder of our trip, he contacted a colleague working at the hotel we were staying at to see if any perks were available, and made sure to write down some food recommendations for the area. Truly not a single complaint! We will definitely be staying here again the next time we're in Lisbon.

Yelp
This hotel has a great location, walkable to all the tourist attractions, great restaurants, and great service. I'm not sure I would say it's 5 stars based on American ratings and amenities but it's was a great way to start the trip and I'd say it's a high 4 stars for sure. Our room was upgraded to the terrace room, we had a great view, private terrace and could keep the door open at night for fresh air, no noise what so ever. The restaurant was excellent and breakfast was top notch. The room while is small, is very well planned out and gives you space for two large suitcases, lots of shelf space, excellent bed and amenities. The only thing lacking here was a gym for my husband. The pool is more decorative than a place to lounge, but we weren't here for that. They offered a great walking tour each day, and after we hired the guide for a day trip. We had a complimentary port bottle to make a fun drink, plenty of water and a very nice rain shower. The street right outside the hotel has lots of restaurants and bars and it was just a lovely way to start the trip, highly recommend this hotel.

Yelp
Beware of bait and switch with your room selection! The rooms look nothing at all as they are shown online Booked junior suite and was escorted to a room eye level with front entry and driveway of hotel even after I requested quiet room in advance. Our window was literally with a view of the cars pulling up to the hotel on their very steep driveway. Refused and then told I would be getting an upgrade and ushered to the lower level below the lobby, it had an outdoor lounge but no privacy with the rooms next to us. The room was so small and the bathroom was upper level of the room and had 3 steep stairs to get to it Try doing that in the middle of the night Then we left room on our first day and returned around 5 pm and it still had not been serviced s we were told we needed to request an early service because this was still within their regular hours of making up the room. Breakfast was nothing special, plates were not clean and service was not good. Would not recommend this hotel but I do love the neighborhood it is located in .

Yelp
Very small boutique hotel in Portugal. Compared the the air bnb there this hotel is expensive. However, there are complimentary tours. The view is spectacular. The toiletries are one of the best and they welcome you with port wine. You can't go wrong with that. The staff very helpful and accommodating. You are in walking distance of everything. Catch the train, walk, restaurants and bars. There are small cafes for breakfast and pastries right in front.

Yelp
My fiancée and I had an unbelievable stay here from the moment we arrived to a breathtaking view of Lisbon. The staff is incredibly attentive and we were given spot-on recommendations mostly in Principe Real, a picturesque neighborhood which is one of the fancier ones in Lisbon but in a good way, dotted with really cool spots and beautiful streets high above the city, evocative of a bygone era and yet very cutting edge. The rooms were well designed for the utmost comfort. The color scheme and the sleek wood style was modern and cozy all at once. On my birthday, we came home to a delicious chocolate cake with a thoughtful birthday note. The cocktail bar had a breathtaking view at sunset. Loved this hotel through and through. Cannot wait to go back.
